Different room inventory with (407)WDISNEY vs. 1-800 vs. online

I have always called the 1-800 number, but this morning I checked online and there is a 2 bedroom BCV that I want for my stay. 1-800 number told me a 2 bedroom villa is not available.

Will I have better luck calling the 407 WDISNEY number?

Yes, sometimes there is a difference between what is available online vs. what is available from calling for some reason.

Does this mean if something is sold out on Disney's website that they might have rooms if you call CRO? What about Expedia or Travelocity? And does Disney hold back any rooms for any reason? For instance, I was reading how Disney is moving guests from AKL and one guest got the Polynesian for the same week we're going to be there, but I was under the impression that the Polynesian was sold out for the week I'm there.

Just curious, really.

The toll-free number and the (407) number connect you to basically the same place. Availability can differ when checking online vs. contacting customer service. Use the online service as a tool, but always call customer service for availability that way it's 100% certain whether it's really available or not. You will find alot of stories on here describing instances when availability is shown online, but when you call there are no rooms left. Tons of other examples which i could go on forever.
