Different cost for purchasing AP at the gate

I know that the park hoppers are cheaper when purchased prior to your trip, but how about AP's. I am getting my first AP ever for this trip and I am still learning.

When we bought our APs in June, the price was the same in advance or at the gates. We bought ours at the gate and the whole process took about 15 minutes.

Price is still the same no matter where you buy it.
