Diez (10) Noches Calientes en la Riviera Mexicana/17 de abril 2011 (4.17.11 Wonder!)

Sandy...Congratulations on 27 years together! We are approaching 21 years.

Gabriela...DH loves port wine!!!

Mary & Helen...Welcome! Glad you are joining us.:yay::yay:

Helen...some of us are horseback riding in Mazatlan. Hope you'll join us.:thumbsup2

Kristin...Yes, we will be in pirate costume. pirate: I wore mine last week for Mickey's Halloween Party at Disneyland (mainly because my other costume was too tight at the last minute:mad:)

And, just heard from DH, he is coming home early and will be back before Halloween. He is going to surprise DD who hasn't seen him since early July.

Ours is due on 12/17.
Ours is December 17th also, which seems weird because being able to book and reserve is January 17th. Maybe I just don't remember, or this is something new or just for longer than 7 day cruises, but I thought the two usually corresponded to each other, so why is payoff for this a month sooner? :confused3

Thank you, went is yours?

:grouphug: I'm so happy for you guys!!! Bet she'll be so excited to see him home early...and you too! :woohoo:

Just read back quite a few pages. They seemed to have gotten the dining info yesterday. They have 2 formal and 1 semi-formal. I really hope we only have 1 formal.

Swimming with Dolphins in Cabo sounds good. Let's do it. I would also be interested in some horseback riding. Would you guys be up for that? I just want to pick 2-3 excursions top for this cruise. Is Melody still planning on comming out in November? It's a bummer we won't have Igor or Melody. Have you sailed the Wonder before? Do you remember any great staff?

Actually I was recommending that for you. Allison and I have done the Dolphins Encounter twice (Cabo & Cozumel) so we're not sure it we'll do it again. If we do, we'd probably do the Dolphins Swim but Colin is not old enough. It's cheaper to book directly with Cabo Dolphins online b/c you get 15% off but the website said if you're a cruise line guest, you MUST book through the ship. That sounds kind of crummy. Anyway, Melody is coming out in April instead of November. I'll have to find out what her plans are now that she's getting off the Magic. As for dining staff on the Wonder, it's been 3 yrs since we were on it and our server weren't great that time... I guess we'll just take our chances!

Well...we made it!! Today is 27 years and we haven't killed each other yet. :lmao: :lmao: We will be celebrating our anniversary and one of our daughters (foster) 22nd birthday this week. She's the one that just got married in Aug and is also in her 4th yr of college. Can't believe how time flies and these kids grow up so fast. :sad2: :sad1: Have a great weekend everyone!!

Congrats on your wedding anniversary!

I think the due date is the same for everyone. It is earlier than normal because it is longer than 7 days. We had to pay early for the med cruise too.

BTW - we really enjoyed World of Colors. It was very impressive - so Disney! Have a great weekend everyone! We'll be taking our new dog camping for the first time so I'll chime in when we get back!

That is so great, I know how the deployments are. Nice to have him home early. What a great suprise for DD.

Thanks guys!

Athene - Wish it felt real for me too. Us first-timers with DCL have 114 days to on-line checkin (Jan 31st @ 9p PST). Then I think it will go fast for me. I think Christmas is too close to PIF date for it to hit then. :confused3 We'll see.

Mary & Helen - Thanks for posting a pic to the website. Love to see who I'm talkin' to. :surfweb:

Connie - Where did you guys go camping? What kind of dog did your get?

Had a dream of our embarkation day last night, it was really good, DSister & DBIL were upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite. :woohoo: Now if that could only come true.

Sandy

!

Ok, thanks. I'll look into the the Dolphin Encounter through Disney.

Thank you MousseauMob.

Hey Connie and Helen, seem you guys know a CM for DCL. Do you think we can get info through her for our cruise? Just the basics like the type of shows and dining theme/attire.

Helen - We're going to try and do the Cabo Dolphin too and in PV the Pirate Ship.

Many of us have booked with Randi's Happy Horses.

We haven't planned for Cabo yet. What is everyone else planning?

Thanks for the link. I think the boys will really enjoy horseback riding. I was reading back through some of the posts and saw the discussion about the little one riding. My youngest is 3. Does that mean he rides on his own horse? Have any of you ever had a child ride that young?

Sorry for the additional posts but I haven't figured out how to multi quote.

We did the Med on the Disney Magic last May and had some excellent cast members. Connie had them on the cruise before and we ended up keeping touch with one of them. I don't know if things tend to be the same between the Magic and Wonder but maybe Connie can shed some more light.

Glad to hear that many are doing the Cabo Dolphin and Pirate Ship in PV.

Hi Helen, I emailed back and forth with Randi for a couple of weeks regarding this. My little ones will be 5 and 3 and she assured me they would be safe. Yes, they will be on their own (small) horse with a seat belt of some sort and the horse will be led by one of her employees. She said there are a lot of small children on this excursion on the day we are scheduled and she will have extra people to lead the children. Hope you join us!

Hey Brooklyn...just saw that your going on the Jan 2011 PC too. AWESOME!! When you guys get back, could you please post the navigators for us? :worship:

Connie - Where did you guys go camping? What kind of dog did your get?

We were at San Clemente State Beach and had a great spot overlooking the ocean. We adopted a 2yo golden retriever. She proved to be a great camping dog and loved every minute of the trip!

Thank you MousseauMob.

It's going to be hard to predict the dining theme/attire schedule since we are the only 10-night MR. I know the shows that are on the Wonder are Golden Mickeys, Toy Story & Disney Dreams and there's usually variety shows (magic, comedian, etc.) and new movies to fill in the other nights.
