Didn't make it to Midnight!!!

Last thing I heard was my DH laughing and saying
"goodnight and Happy New Year!" He knew I was
down for the count...fell asleep at about 11:15.
I really like to watch the ball drop but I've been
host to my neice and nephew-my nephew does not
sleep! He's 9 and was up until at least midnight
every night -I'm exhausted. He's autistic so this is
not just a discipline issue but geesh, I'm glad he's
at his house keeping his parents up and not me.
LOL so now, I'm up and DH is asleep. I notice he
waited to open the champagne-what a sweet guy.

I didn't even make it until 10 last night.

DS usually is out about 6:30 but I guess he wanted to stay up late on NYE so he didn't finally get to sleep until 9:30....he was quite a handful because he was cranky from being tired but he just kept fighting going to sleep. I hope this is not a new 'routine' around here.

I was so tired after dealing with DS that I just went to bed. We didn't even open the champagne or eat any of our munchies.

Don't feel bad. I had a couple late nights this week myself. Took the kids to see Santa Claus 2 at the $1.50 show and was home by 9:30. By 10:15 we were all off to dreamland!

I fell asleep at 11:45 myself, my kids were all accounted for and my DH was watching a boring movie...so I called it a day!

We were out for a little while and came home around 11pm. I struggled to stay awake till midnight, and went to bed about 12:05. I think the world would be pretty much the same had I gone to bed at 11:15.
