DYK- 3,000,000 chocolate-covered mickey ice cream bars are sold at WDW every year

Don't worry about keeping the thread going, I have a couple of trivia books.... I could keep this thing going for months:laughing:

Did you know that when Walt Disney did his first Mr. Lincoln audioanimatronic, for the Worlds Fair in 1964, during one of the first performances a hydrolic line in his chest broke (Lincoln's, to be specific, not Walt Disney's :lmao: ). The fluid was red and leaked through Lincoln's shirt. At first, people thought that Disney was reenacting Lincoln's assassination. Needless to say, Disney quickly changed things so that Lincoln would appear to just "sit down" and changed out the fluid color so that it would NOT suddenly look like blood was erupting from Mr. Lincoln.

Did you know that Donald Duck's middle name is Fauntleroy?

Did you know that Mickey has 2 nephews named Morty and Ferdy?

Did you know that the mother of Huey, Dewey and Louie is named Della Thelma Duck, and she is Donald's twin sister?

Did you know that towering four stories over DinoLand U.S.A. at Animal Kingdom is Dino-Sue- an exact replica of the largest Tyrannosaurus Rex ever discovered.

Did you know that there is a total of 22 wheels on each Test Track vehicle (although only 4 are visible)? For each car, there are 6 distinct braking systems to control all of those wheels.

DYK: There are 50-54 logs working at Splash Mountain when it is running at full capacity.

Did you know Swiss Family Treehouse in Adventureland is 60 feet tall and weighs approximately 200 tons and is made of concrete and thousands of polyethylene leaves.

My favorite facts I got from a Disney trivia book

Did you know if you look up to the top floor of the Haunted mansion ( above the door) when your passing it at night you might just see two shadows walking by holding a lantern.

Did you know NO gasoline powerd vehicles are allowed in the tunnels below the Magic kingdom except one and armored car thats picks up the money collected each day but its a tight fit the driver only has about 4 inches on either side of his car in which to maneuver his vehicle.

Did you know that Aladdin was the first animated film to gross more than $200,000,000?

Did you know that towering four stories over DinoLand U.S.A. at Animal Kingdom is Dino-Sue- an exact replica of the largest Tyrannosaurus Rex ever discovered.

Well... not quite. Dino-Sue stands about 14 feet tall and is on a pedestal that is about 4 feet tall. So she has a top height of no more than 20 feet in Dino-Land.

You may be thinking of the Brachiosaurus skeleton that serves as the entry way to DinoLand as part of the Oldengate bridge... or you could be thinking of the giant Cementosaurus that serves as the entry way into DinoRama.

How bout this... did you know that the actual Dino Sue skeleton can be found in the Field Museum in Chicago and that the head is actually on display on a different floor than the rest of the body. In addition, part of the preservation process of Dino-Sue's bones was done in DinoLand when the park first opened - in the area that is now home to the Dino-Rama.
