Did you have to move anything to make room for your tree??

We have a narrow living room in this house, so we had to move a rocker-recliner to the family room and one end table, lamp and floor basket to the attic.

:bounce::wave::bounce:

We move a small curio cabinet.

We also move the end table, couch and coffee table over about 4 feet.

We have to have our tree byt the window. In our old house, our dining room was in the front of the house. We have always wanted a house where you can see the tree from the street

;)

We have a huge family room so I didn't have to move a thing.

Oh, only something like 40 or 50 boxes, since until Thanksgiving weekend our dining room (where the tree is now) was used for box storage from moving in Sept ;)

We had to move the big curio cabinet which was full of breakables. That meant moving all the contents first, then the cabinet! Also had to temporarily put away an end table and the computer printer. Bit of a hassle, being in an apartment, but still, it's better than last year! Our previous apartment had no place to store things so we had no room for a tree. Finally broke down and bought what they call a "wall tree". It's 1/2 a tree, very narrow and we were able to fit it where the CD tower was. Hey, it worked!

Hey Rajah you stole my answer!!!

We actually had 3-4 boxes left sitting in the corner of our family room since we moved last March. :rolleyes: DH always said he would get around to getting them out of there but it was not until we put up the tree that the boxes actually got moved. :)

We only had to move a blanket rack. Not a big deal at all.

Our house is on the smallish side too, so we have to completely rearrange the living room!

I'm not moving furniture around so it goes right in front of the wet bar. :teeth: We have feet and legs to get us to the kitchen any way. However, I remember as a kid that my dad would move one of the end tables and a lamp to a room in the back of the house in order to put the tree up. I wish he were here to put the lights on my tree...I miss him!
