Our house is pretty small so we had to move my little TV, my stereo system and a bookcase to fit the Christmas tree in!!!:)

Do you have to make room for your tree or do you actually have the space!!!:jester: :bounce:

I suppose if we put the tree in the middle of the living room we wouldn't have had to move anything :D

But since we like it in front of the window, and not in front of the TV, we do a bit of rearranging. I don't like to feel cramped and cluttered so we store the coffee table in the basement over the holidays as well.

I had to remove a few ceiling tiles in order to fit the tree into the room.

I have to move my two chairs around in order to fit it in the corner. I have never had a room big enough to fit a tree in it without moving furniture!! I wouldn't know what to do with that!!;) But that's ok...less to clean!!;)

We do shuffle some furniture around.

Two chairs trade places, the end table moves to the other end of the sofa and it, and the sofa, move down a couple of feet.

I have an antique commode table that I have to move when we put the tree up... and some art work I take down from the corner walls. The table moves to another place in the livingroom and is the place we put our nativity scene on. :)

Luckily, no. Our tree goes right in front of our big picture window, probably the only space in the house where there isnt usually anything. ;)

I have a big picture window and my plant stand is in front of it, so I had to move the plants off to the side.

All I had to do was move my guitar. Thank goodness it wasn't the piano. :teeth:

Normally we have a large ficus tree/bush in front of the window, so moved it to put the Christmas tree in the window.

Loveseat swops places with couch (making it impossible to get to the fireplace, but...). End table goes into storage. Everything on the mantle comes down and is replaces with Rudolph plushes. It's a hassle, but it looks great.

Since the girls' toy room isn't finished we had to move some of their toys into the dining room. I am sure even without the toys there would have been something we would have to move:rolleyes:

Our rearranging starts at Thanksgiving. In order to accomodate as many people as we do for T'Giving dinner, the coffee table goes into the garage & two chairs get moved. So when the tree comes into the house, we put the couch where the chairs normally are, and the chairs get moved - wherever. It looks great, and it's worth it!

had to move a chair out of our living room to fit in the Christmas tree. Past years it's been set up in the finished cellar which is good for DH as he practically lives down there. However, DS & I didnt get to enjoy it as much. This year I have the lights on every chance I get.
Santa's presents will need to be moved to the den before we have Christmas dinner with my mother & 2 brothers. Cant fit 6 of us in here as it is.

Just most of my front room. The couch, love seat, chair, 2 lamps and a coffee table.

Had to move stereo speakers and cd rack to make room for tree, which is going up tomorrow

For the tree in the living room we just move a chair from one side to the other. For the tree in the foyer, we take out a bench and put it in the basement, and for the tree in the basement we don't have to move anything.

This year we put the tree in the dining room, since we aren't having Christmas dinner at our house. I have an old gate-leg table, so I left it folded down and put it against the wall and found spots around the room for the chairs. It looks great. Just wish the light fixture wasn't in the center of the room. DH and DS keep hitting their heads on it.
