Did the BTMRR Refirb get canceled?

I really hope so. We're going in May and its DD5's favorite ride. it looks like Disney may just not want to announce those things too far out.

Everyone has officially taken it off the list. Disney, allears, touring plans, etc.

I'm going to say it has been pushed back.

I was hoping that it had been pushed back too, however when you go into the main MDE Disney site and go to Magic Kingdom / Attractions / BTM there are no opening times available beyond 3 April (times are available for all other rides). This is consistent with previous reports of the last day of BTM before renovations being 3 April. Hope I am wrong!!

They are operational times not FP times.

I really hope the BTMRR refurb does happen. It is my favorite attraction but I am always in favor of a good refurb and enhancement which it was supposed to receive. During this refurb it is/was supposed to receive the Disneyland effects upgrades which would be a huge plus.

I saw the closure date on touring.com website stating closed from April to July so I sent an email to Disney asking about this because there was nothing posted on Disney's site about it being closed. I was informed that as of now no plans for BTM to be refurb at that time.

I really hope this is pushed back. DS5 doesn't know we are going again in May, but he keeps talking about this ride. I knew he would be disappointed that it was going to be closed.

Adding a note: I just went back to my plan on touringplans.com, and it is now letting me add this as an attraction. It was stating closed when I originally set up a touring plan.

I am all for the enhancements too, however, with all of the other projects and closures going on this year, unless it's a functionality issues I think it's best to keep as many rides open as possible. There is just so much going on it seems and this would be a long time to have a ride down. I would hold off on taking this ride out until they open something new first. Anything lol.

Now that our next trip is March instead of June, I didn't mind either way. However, now I am thinking of a late July trip too, and I really wanted to see it with the DLR changes. Oh well, at least late July should have ROL, Tiffens, possibly night safari, Soarin', and Froway.

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe it will get pushed back until the other attractions re-open and it isn't as busy of time of year, not that there really isn't a busy time of year, but this would have hit spring break crowds and july 4th crowds.

A few weeks ago, Touringplans.com did not allow you to add BTMRR for the dates of our trip (end of April), but now it's back on, so I view that as a good thing. Probably will not happen until the fall at the earliest.

YAY!! The FP+ window has opened for the early part of those dates, so I'm curious if people are able to schedule it. We are heading out the during the originally scheduled refurb and will be so happy if it is, indeed, pushed back. With Soarin' and now LMA closed, I hate to see another favorite not available during our upcoming trip.

I do notice, however, that the times are still listed as "no times available" on the website for the original refurb dates.

I'm in the minority here, but I was hoping they would stick to the refurb schedule of April-July because we are going at the end of September. Now I am worried that they will push it back and it will be refurbed while we are there. It is my 5 year old daughters favorite ride and I would hate for it to be down while we are there.

This is the least trust worthy information. Not that they would lie to you, but they only repeat the official Disney information, as they know it. Imagineering could still be planning it, but until it is officially announced then they will still keep saying it isn't going to happen. The touringplans, and other tpyes of sources are closer to unofficial information from Disney, that more often than not, eventually becomes official.

they said they emailed disney and got a reply back from them, not the touring site
