Did the BTMRR Refirb get canceled?

I'm in the minority here, but I was hoping they would stick to the refurb schedule of April-July because we are going at the end of September. Now I am worried that they will push it back and it will be refurbed while we are there. It is my 5 year old daughters favorite ride and I would hate for it to be down while we are there.

Me too! Our trip is planned for October. We love BTMRR.

I am all for the enhancements too, however, with all of the other projects and closures going on this year, unless it's a functionality issues I think it's best to keep as many rides open as possible. There is just so much going on it seems and this would be a long time to have a ride down. I would hold off on taking this ride out until they open something new first. Anything lol.
MK doesn't have any ongoing projects right now so this really wouldn't affect that park a whole lot. It could be worse Disneyland had their BTMRR down for 14 months for a total redo and currently Paris's version is down for 13 months for a total redo. I wouldn't want that for WDW.

You are right this would be the only ride down at MK, I just meant as a whole they have so many projects open that maybe it would be best to just get some new things completed before taking out another ride. I remember BTMRR being down at DL for a long time and we actually got to experience it with the new features right after it reopened and it was amazing. IMO Disney just bites off way more than they can chew sometimes and I would rather see them focus on getting some of these other projects completed before starting up a new one, and taking out a major ride for several months is a big deal. But yes, 3 months is nothing compared to how long they had the one at DL out. That was crazy!

Oh no, we pushed our trip off to the fall because of this closure on top of Soarin'. I sure hope it's not going to end up closed in the fall now. My twins will finally be tall enough to ride and it's one of the few "thrill" rides I can ride with them.

Looks like the BTMRR refurb is back on. It was posted on the Disney travel agent portal.

April 4th - July 2016

Was that just posted? Because allears, touringplans and wdwinfo was just updated wednesday with it still off. Im not trying to argue the point, im just saying it seems maybe that site has outdated info?

Yep just posted yesterday! I'd assume the website will soon update the new info.

I feel like BTMRR was just closed for a refurb within the last 2 years or so? Anyone?

They updated the queue to add the interactive features. My guess this closure is for adding the dynamite explosion in the last tunnel like DL.

I've been checking on this one quite a bit as I am going in July. I'm hoping this means it is pushed back. I believe it was doctordisney.com that stated it had been listed unofficially but disney had not officially announced a refurb. I'm hoping this means it is pushed back, ESPECIALLY with the uncertainty of Soarin' being open as well...

It was closed in March of 2012, I know. That was one of the rides we were really disappointed to not be able to ride when we went then!

Is it getting the DL treatment? Because we loved that update. It's always been one of our favorite rides, and it's even better now.

So sad!! Oh well, hopefully it will just make it that much more special on our next trip after this one!
