Did anyone watch Rock Star: INXS last night?

Didn't Jordis used to have a deeper, more sultry sound? I honestly can't remember what she used to sound like, except that it was really good.

I also think she had a lower huskier voice. As soon as she started singing tonight, I felt she was in a key too high. I downloaded her Bowie cover and I think it's her best performance of the show.

Marty's my favorite and I want him to lose because I think he's too good for INXS.

I'm sure it's just me... but ever since I heard that JD was a former Elvis impersonator, I hear Elvis in everything he sings now... I have to say he did rock the show though....but I still find him a little to vain and full of himself for my liking. Who knows who they will choose...and I agree, if that song that INXS sang at the beginning with all of them is what they will be putting out.......I'll be a "former" fan

OK, I haven't read the whole thread, and I don't normally wacth those shows, or even much T.V. lately (that isn't the Disney channel or PBS.) Anyway I was fliping the other day and VH1 was reshowing it. There was a women singing Bohiman Raspady (spelled wrong, by Queen, the one they jam too in Waynes World.) She was so good I had to stop and see what it was. I tought she was someone famous I just hadn't seen before. The band was also really impressed with er. She really rocked. Was that Jessica? It looked like the women you gave the link too.

If it was her, she was great. If not, I haven't seen her yet, but I will keep an eye out for her.

What a surprising show (well, not the outcome, because I figured Jordis has slumped herself off that show)! I'm a MiG girl, but I thought MiG deserved to be in the bottom 3 last night. I find it strange that JD got the encore, but then was in the bottom 3? Makes no sense. This show is almost depressing now because the cuts each week are going to be harder to make unless someone really screws up. And Jordis did flub a lyric last night. I don't like JD in any way, shape or form, but thought his performance Wed. night was way better than MiG's.

That being said, I can still see MiG fronting INXS. Marty, maybe.

I agree. If he does win the competition, or even if he goes on to have a solo career, he will really have to work with someone to lose those "Elvis" tendencies. At least put the collar down on his jacket. I think he is probably the best fit for INXS, but can they deal with his ego?

I am a huge fan of Suzie, but I doubt she will win the competition. I really don't think they will choose a female singer. It's not right for their band, INXS. I would be first in line to buy her first album, though.

For some reason I always fall asleep before Marty comes on. I am a little freaked out by his appearance, but maybe that would change if I could ever stay up long enough to watch his performance.

I can't get the Harry Potter references you guys made yesterday out of my mind when it comes to MiG.

Have you ever seen the movie Warlock? It's old but that's what Marty reminds me of. lol I love his voice but that likeness freaks me out!

I also now see Elvis whenever I watch JD. And last night DH and I said that JD needed to put his collar down!! That tall leather collar combined with his facial expressions really reminded me of Elvis.

I feel so bad for INXS each week whenever they cut someone. You can tell that they are very nice and don't want to hurt anyone's feelings. But sometimes don't you almost laugh at how "thick" they lay on the compliments? It's almost funny.

I am a fan of MiG but even I thought he should have been in the bottom three last night. Now I am wondering how this whole thing will play out. MiG has never been in the bottom three so we really don't know how INXS feels about him. I kind of think that they will keep Suzie for the final three just becasue she is the only woman left. The way they fawn over Marty makes me think they will keep him. JD (do we have a puking smiley?) does sing INXS songs well, as much as I hate to admit it.

If MiG got in the bottom three next week, would INXS get rid of him? Or will it be JD, who has too much drama?

I think at this point, it's really down to JD and Marty. I agree that INXS won't really consider Susie for the band, and Mig's original song was too wussy for them to take him seriously now. They liked Marty's original song better than JD's. Will they choose Marty for his songwriting potential? You know that Marty has the better personality between the two. I can picture JD fronting the band a bit more easily than Marty, but I think Marty has more genuine talent. I felt so badly for Jordis. Why doesn't INXS step up and produce her first album, if they feel that she's so talented?

It was definitely my favorite. Bohemian Rhapsody is one of my favorite songs and I think she did amazing with it- way better than Queen.

ITA! I was thinking this as well. Make the remaining rockers sing that "You've got to let me know" that Jordis sang last week! I can't wait for Sunday night!
