Did anyone watch Rock Star: INXS last night?

I think JD is gone on Wednesday night only for the fact that out of the 4 remaining, he could possibly lend to the most trouble down the road for the band. Remember how he was the only one who didn't prepare before the song INXS had everyone sing? Mig and Marty are the strongest contenders so far, because Mig hasn't been in the bottom 3 yet, I think its hard to believe INXS would get rid of him this week. I believe they won't get rid of Marty because he out of the remaining 4 has a vision of what the band needs to do to keep fresh. If and only if JD or Susie receives the most votes, will they remain; if they are both in the bottom 3 (which I think they will be) it'll come down to performance.

I think that INXS never really had the intention of hiring a female lead singer and will use the "not ready for the media" to get rid of Suzie this week.

I downloaded a ton of Rockstar performances and I'm very impressed by JD - he definitely has the INXS sound and his voice is hot! I also love Marty - but his voice is less refined, edgier and I frankly would be disappointed to hear him sing INXS songs when his voice and style is suited for something much edgier. I can't comment on Mig because I didn't download any of his songs - he just doesn't do it for me. I wonder if Mig felt insulted that he wasn't asked to do his original song tomorrow night.

I think JD is going to win this thing. Marty and Jordis will each get their own recording deal. Mig and Ty will collaborate on a broadway show. Sweet Suzie will become Dave Navarro's secret lover.

I liked Mig and Marty from the beginning. As much as I'd like to see them as the final two I think it'll be Mig and JD. I thought JD was gone because of his attitude, but the more they hear him, I think, the more they like him. It is a business and I think they'll go with the one who fits best with the sound of the band and right now I think that's JD. Mig seems like a really nice guy and a good performer. I hope he wins.

I think Susie will be gone because they're not ready for a female, and Marty just doesn't work with their sound (but I think he's great and should stay true to his own sound).

After listening to most of Marty's performances my absolute favorite is his rendition of The Killers' Mr. Brightside. WoW! It's unbelievable...far surpasses the original. LOVE IT!

Sorry, but I've gotta say this for all of us who thought INXS's new song sucked. If that's what they're going to be putting out, they need someone to help them shape a new image. I'm not saying Marty's the only one who could do this, or his style is best for them, but right now I don't see them having much style at all. Very disappointing because I loved them so much "back in the day" .

I know a lot of people think Suzie will be going this week but if INXS needs a new image, a female singer could definitely be the way to go. That would set them apart from all the other rock groups and give them something unique.


I'm probably the only one but I couldn't stand Marty's version of "Mr. Brightside". I am a big fan of the original and I don't think he even comes close. But just so I don't get majorly flamed here, I did like "Wish You Were Here" and "Trees".

They gave Marty - Creep by Radiohead and his original song

They didn't say what they gave to Suzie

They gave Mig - Painted Black by the Rolling Stones and Kiss from a Rose

They gave J.D. - Money and his original song

Let me start by saying I've been really into this show since the first episode. The only thing that kills me is all the hype they do to put INXS on the same level as a band like U2. Last I heard of INXS doing any shows around here, it was the Akron Ribfest with free admission before 5:00.

In any case, I had read on another board where someone postedand they were supposedly in the final 50 that they cast prior to the start of the show. He said that Mig was never there at that point, and must have been brought in as a ringer. Who knows? He's got my vote though. I think J.D. would be the best fit if he wasn't such an idiot.

It is so great to see 2 Canadian singers still in it with JD and Suzie hanging in the final 4 the guy from the States was a bit of an arogant prick IMHO. Mig just seems far to happy go lucky to be in that kind of spotlight and Suzie although she is from Canada is a little to nervous/skittish in the questioning to hold her own in a press conference IMHO.
