Did anyone watch Rock Star: INXS last night?

I found myself enjoying JD's original even though I am totally not a fan of his. The old lady side of me did come out when I saw him toss the chair with the megaphone, I was thinking, "did someone get hit with that????"

I was thinking the same thing! Like was that really necessary JD - it could have hurt someone. Shame on me...and I grew up with the 80's rockers smashing their guitars. It's the mom in me I guess.

OK I'm writing these up as I'm actually watching the show so I don't forget anything

JD: For the first time in weeks..I wasn't cringing. I thought his take on "Come as You Are" was AWESOME and his original song totally kicks hiney. I could've done without the gyrating, but that's just because I don't think he's that good looking lol. He completely reminds me of Michael Hutchence and I think INXS might be keeping him around for just that reason. I might have to throw a few votes his way this week! Nice to see the "old" JD back!

Suzie: Hmm..." I Can't Make You Love Me" was pretty OK, I wasn't blown away but her voice sounded good. I guess it was sort of a letdown compared to her "Bohemian Rhapsody" Original song...didn't care for it. I'm not sure why but it didn't seem to flow very well and was a snooze in my opinion.

MiG: First things first..who the hell did his hair tonight? GOOD GRIEF! I looooove MiG, but his hair is distracting me LOL. "Hard to Handle"...unfortunately I think he tried to add too much "pop sound" into this favorite of mine..just didn't do it for me Whoa wait, did he just tear his shirt open...how YOU doin' MiG??!!! Original: While the song is not moving me too much, his voice gives me the chills...absolutely amazing. I could listen to it all day.

Jordis: What happened to her stage presence and interaction with the audience? She has a great voice but I think her confidence is shaken and now she's just standing on the stage like a sack of potatoes. Original...bleah bleah bleah. Didn't like it at all, I really think she's a completely different performer than she was at the beginning. I absolutely would not be surprised if she goes home this week.

Marty: Totally digging it!!!! Love how he changed the song to fit what our band, INXS is looking for and am just LOVING the whole thing. Awesome, awesome!!!! Original: Holy catchy tune! I'm already singing it and I don't even know all the words . Fabulous stuff this week! "It'll be you and meeeeee, up in theeeeee treeeeees"

I liked Marty from the very beginning and still do. I think he is the most interesting performer. I think it is because his stage presence is so different from his everyday attitude. I think he is the perfect fit for INXS.

Mig isn't in my top 2 anymore. Just not seeing him as the lead singer anymore.

JD I think has a good chance to be in the top 2 after last night.

Susie, good singer just not for this band.

Jordis, time to go home.

Did you guys all see how the producers et al are donating 100% of the proceeds from the music downloads to the Red Cross for the hurricane relief efforts?

I really wasn't going to purchase any songs, but I think it's so great of them to do that, I've changed my mind!

What to choose, what to choose??? I don't want to go broke.

Unfortunatly, I think Jordis will be going home this week. I really like her, but it really seems like she has given up and is ready to go home.

I hate to say it but I like J.D.'s song. It was catchy. Martys was the best however. I think Marty is going to win, but I am still cheering for Mig even though I didnt love his performance last night. Marty scares me and I have a hard time watching him perform.

Suzie has a good shot too...she has really blossomed in the past 3 weeks.

For the love of Pete!!! When are they going to have these singers doing INXS songs???? Seems to me if they're looking for a lead singer for our band INXS they would like to see how these singers can cover INXS songs??????

Not a JD fan, and I no way see any resemblance to Michael Hutchence there. That being said, his performances were pretty good last night.

MiG, MiG, MiG ... I'm afraid he made a big tactical error last night singing "the dead guy song." I totally can see him fronting INXS, though.

Suzi was good with both her songs, Jordis was too busy trying to keep her jeans up (did you see her make those tugs at her pants a few times???)

Marty still has a scary edge to him I'm not digging. But his voice a couple of times last night sounded like Michael Hutchence.

I see Jordis going home tonight, but it'll be good to hear MiG finally do an INXS song. ;-)

Why was Brooke wearing her pajamas?

As soon as I saw that outfit, I said to my DH, "There will be comments on the DIS about that." Every time she was on-screen, he'd go, "Niiiiiiiccccce." Oh, but I got my treat when this happened:

Oh, holy smokes, that man is hot.

That being said, I wasn't completely feeling his performance last night. I liked "Hard to Handle," but his original didn't do for me what I'd hoped.

The same goes for Jordis. She was my favorite before I jumped on the MiG train (after "Baby, I Love Your Way," how could I not?), but I agree that she's gotten so stressed that she's a bit lost at this point. I think she'll go home tonight, as much as it pains me to say that.

I know where all that confidence Jordis lost has gone -- Suzie has it! She has just blossomed over the past few weeks. Her "I Can't Make You Love Me" was beautiful.

I was a bit disappointed to realize I kind of liked JD's performance. I really, really wanted to hate it, because I really, really don't like him. LOL

Marty was awesome. I'm betting he'll get the encore tonight for "Trees."

I am disappointed we didn't get to hear Marty's song again, but I have to say, I REALLY like JD's song, and did enjoy his encore. I would love to hear that song on the radio.

Jordis sounded terrible! Like a bad karaoke performance. I think she sang in the wrong key and to top if off, she messed up the lyrics.

Susie was amazing! She's not going home tonight.

I'm guessing Mig is last one in the bottom 3...can't wait to hear him do an INXS song.

I didn't like their new song either, and if that's the kind of music they'll be churning out, I won't be buying it. Maybe Marty needs to lose this thing, lol.

Jordis deserved to go. She wasn't right at all. Interesting Dave says he knows he'll be playing with her someday. I wonder if he has plans for her.

Well I was wrong about Mig being in the bottom 3. I think it worked out well for JD because he did a good job with the song. I agree with Dave Navarro and INXS that Jordis will have a great solo career. I bet she'll have a record contract by the end of the night. Next to today's pop princesses she's unique and has a great sounding voice (when she's on).

Didn't Jordis used to have a deeper, more sultry sound? I honestly can't remember what she used to sound like, except that it was really good.

Well, I liked the group song (then again, I'm the one person that watches the show that doesn't know INXS songs, so take my opinion with a grain of salt). I can't believe MiG wasn't in the bottom three. It's kind of like AI with all the ladies voting for their favorite teen "hottie" . Anyway, I'm still hoping it comes down to Marty and Suzie. Although, that being said, there's only two more weeks left (at least according to the rightly booted Jordis), so I guess that means there will be a final three, not a final two.

Good show, but I think Marty deserved the encore (although I must admit JD's song was very good, too).

This is the first time I actually cried when someone left. Jordis was my original favorite from the first episode... then JD and Mig caught up, but she was right up there with them.
