DEST EE 5K PTR - 19days Apr/May-(I'm BaaaaaCK!)

Your HS day sounds GREAT! We really enjoyed that park last year, and can't wait to get back! Especially for the Disney Jr. show and the dance party they have on EMH nights. It's a blast!

I totally LOVED your family's HS day tshirts. They are too cute! I would've definitely thought ya'll would've been family of the day, because they were PERFECT shirts!

Just thought Id pop on to show those shirts in a little more detail. I found the photos still sitting in photobucket. These are from two trips ago :)

Here we go... Incredible Mom, Incredible Dad and Incredible Kid with the letter i on the side to go with Incredible and Iverson :goodvibes

And while I'm at it I'll show off some other shirts from that trip. If you havn't checked out the design threads you should do so - there is SO much amazing talent showcased on there and you can find anything you could possibly want on there...

Here is what DH and I wore to MK...

125CANONCAMERA.jpg

and b/c that day was Halloween DD wore a semi costume (we didn't do the full costume b/c we wanted to be comfortable in the park and we weren't going to be there for the party that night but we did want her to do something at least) and we came up with a pirate pixie costume...

Here are mine and Dd's fairy shirts b/c we LOVE fairies....

and DD's other fairy shirt...

Here's a shirt for me that I wore in DTD trick or treating...

64July07.jpg

and just so you know dd DID get to wear a Halloween Costume here is what she wore to DTD to trick or treat. I'm SO sad that they don't offer that anymore. It was such an incredible experience for us to give to our DD b/c here you have to wear warm costumes or else cover them up with coat, boots, mitts, hats, scarves b/c it's so cold so this is the only opportunity she EVER had to dress in a lighter costume and trick or treat...

oh, theres a few random trick or treating ones too..

OK sooo, that was a TOTAL random unplanned for post. I hope you all don't mind my sharing it. :lmao:

I followed you over from my TR...I need to go back and catch up. I love the matching shirts and all the great pictures from trips past!

Well, I know that I replied to your DHS plans yesterday, but my post is no where to be seen. Oh well!

I can see the resemblance in your pose and Mrs. Incredible! :)

Also, I can't remember if 50s Prime Time is a new place for you or not?

I like your DHS plans; the park isn't very big so it's easy to do the things you want several times. And I think you all are going to like TSMM! :thumbsup2

Man, the front of the line at rope drop...must've been nice! (If only TSM was open then...getting FPs would've been a breeze!:rotfl:)

Plus there are a lot of reports for people with smaller kids and not as many for thrill seekers so that's something too that's a bit different.
So true! My DS, Leo, will be 10 soon and it seems we're leaving the baby rides behind and moving up a bit... he's not even remotely excited about the Fantasyland expansion, lol! BUT, he still won't ride TOT, so we still have a ways to go. ;)

i wish we had known about you when we were looking for a place around Madeira Beach. We gave up and decided to just drive down to Busch and again drive down for the wedding but we looked a LOT for a nice place to stay on the beach that was affordable. They all had minimums of 3 nights to a week though it seemed :(
I wouldn't have been much help - living here makes me wholly unqualified when it comes to accommodations! What I do know anecdotally, though, is that last-minute reservations can sometimes be had for nightly rates at those places that normally have 3-night minimums. :thumbsup2

Love the shirts!

Thanks :goodvibes and we were RIGHT at the front of the turnstyle too so i thought it was a for sure thing but oh well, we got family of the day over at Universal studios and didn't even know they did that! lol. so that was cool.

YAY! happy to have you :thumbsup2 I had to follow your link to make sure again who you were but it got me all confused b/c I hadn't seen alot of the stuff on your post and I couldn't find my replies but I did finally realize that you must have just the Universal stuff over in the Universal section?? Well then - I have some more catching up to do then!! So I'll be back to that one to check it all out.

Well, I know that I replied to your DHS plans yesterday, but my post is no where to be seen. Oh well!

That has happened to me before :( Frustrating.

I can see the resemblance in your pose and Mrs. Incredible! :)

THANK YOU :worship: I felt pathetic when she kept trying and finally shrugged her shoulders. Maybe my hand was reached out exactly right??? Sorry I'm not elastic like the person on my shirt. :rotfl2:

Also, I can't remember if 50s Prime Time is a new place for you or not?

Yes it's new - we are looking forward to it but plan to order things we know we'll eat b/c DD would be appalled if she got scolded or spoon fed. I'm not going to tell dh though b/c he is famous for not finishing everything on his plate and i always bug him about it so I'm SSOOOO hoping he gets BUSTED!!! :lmao:

YAY for TSM!! DH wants to ride BUZZ more than once but I told him this one was similar too so he's happy to hear that. It's also similar to MIB over at Universal so we'll get quite our fill of that sort of ride.

Man, the front of the line at rope drop...must've been nice! (If only TSM was open then...getting FPs would've been a breeze!:rotfl:)

It was awesome!!! But I'm pretty sure we would NOT have liked the crowds swarming in around us on our way there from the rope. I was even upset that a few people felt the need to run past the CM's leading us to RnR that year. WHY??? Just follow the CM's there but people are so greedy it's sad :sad2: i mean honestly it's not going to make a difference if you are 1st or 20th even by that much and let the people that made a point of ARRIVING early enough to be at the front to reap the benefits by being first!

So true! My DS, Leo, will be 10 soon and it seems we're leaving the baby rides behind and moving up a bit... he's not even remotely excited about the Fantasyland expansion, lol! BUT, he still won't ride TOT, so we still have a ways to go. ;)

We've been lucky to always get to hit the big rides b/c when dd was too young we took the grandmas along :) So they would do things like TTA while we did SPACE and other similar things. DH and I love thrill rides and are so spoiled about it. :goodvibes

Hmmmm, maybe if we look right before going we could find something REALLY cheap and just stay the night out there between going to Busch and doing the wedding. Something to look into for sure. Thanks for the little pointer!

party:WOO HOO!!!! Less than a month and a half to go before we leave and just over a month and a half until our first 5K race

So it's official - I cannot skimp out on my running anymore. I need to commit to 3 runs/week and I want to add in some strength a few times/week and some stretching every day. I will report on how I'm doing at the end of March so WISH ME LUCK!!!

Now for my problem!! DD has completely stopped running and hasn't run since December sometime :sad2: I REFUSE to nag her about it b/c this is supposed to be something fun and special for us and the last thing I need is to add one more thing to the list of things to nag about. It brings enough negativity into the house when i have to be on her case about homework, flyers, and instrument.

If anyone has any suggestions on how to motivate her I'm all ears. I've brought it up several times. At first we would tease and say DH would have to run with me and now I just remind her that she needs to think about running because it's getting close but alas nothing works and again I refuse become a nag about it.

One thing I did was put a call out on facebook and ask friends and family to try and help encourage her by asking her how the training is going and to keep reminding her but I'm not sure if that will make a difference.

Aw, sorry about your daughter. Maybe make some t-shirts that you and her can wear after the race? Maybe "5K mother-daughter team 2012!" and that will get her more excited about it or wanting to make sure she can run it so she can wear the shirt.

Maybe set up dates where you and her run together outside?

Hope you get her motivated! Sorry, I don't have too many ideas.

I know it can be frustrating. A friend was suppose to run a half-marathon with me but she would never train so I'm going it solo now. :sad2:

shirts won't work b/c she's told me no cute Disney/matchy shirts anymore - too old now I guess. lol but that gave me an idea that just might work. I won't post it on here bc she sometimes reads my ptr ;)

Maybe set up dates where you and her run together outside?
Definitely going to try this but it's still so wet out - I definitely think at the pace it's melting that we'll be able to do this for the last 3 weeks before we go though.

no, just reading your ideas got my brain working and hopefully what i came up wtih works :thumbsup2

awe :( that sucks! Hope you still had fun on your own.

:goodvibes

wow, I am being SO totally useless today!!! I cannot get OFF the DISBOARDS and my other DISNEY sites I check out!!!! I just need to be there already!!!!

SOOO, I thought if i went ahead and posted another day then maybe i could get my butt off this computer and get something done so we are now on to ....

DAY 8 PLANS!!!

The sad thing is that we are finished with our FULL WDW park day :sad1:

The good news is.... we have done each of the parks for a full day plus one water park and Downtown Disney AND shopping and STILL HAVE 13 days to enjoy wonderful sunny Florida!!!! :beach:

On this particular day we have something special for DH planned:banana: I'm SSOOO excited for him!!!!

We will be waking up early (why is it that these special activities always require early mornings???) but we want to catch the 8am slot in hopes of it not being too busy.
Anyway, this is where we will be heading .....

drivingmap.jpg

Does that look familiar at all? Or have i got you totally baffled? lol. Well, maybe this next pic will explain it a bit better...

exoticcar.jpg

YES!!!! :woohoo: DH has decided to splurge a bit and try out the INCREDIBLE experience of driving a completely and INSANELY expensive car at crazy high speeds around a race track that has some awesome turns to check out the handling of the car and to be able to experience the incredible high speeds that these cars can handle! he is SSSOOOOO stoked!!! I can't wait to see him there - he's going to be like a kid in a candy shop! :drive::hyper: and normally he's a very mellow even keeled kinda guy.

And in case your wondering, here is the car he's selected...

carwhite.jpg

forgive my spelling as i probably butcher it completely but ti's the Lamborghinni Gellardo.

After all that excitement we'll probably have some down time back at the condo and then since Epcot is a green park we are thinking it will be our second visit over there. We'll eat an early supper at the condo around 4pm and head into the World Showcase. Walk around and view whatever we missed last time and finish off the night with....

Illuminations :goodvibes

0338DISNEY.jpg

sorry, not the best pic I know - he didn't have a tripod.

My DH really wants to that Exotic driving thing too! I actually thought about booking it for him while we're on our anniversary trip, but it would take up way too much time. One of these days I'm going to surprise him with it! Looks like fun! :thumbsup2

My DH was by the computer when he saw that pic and he just let out a long whistle. I think most everyone's husbands/boyfriends/etc are super jealous of your husband right now. :rotfl:

Yes, it DEFINITELY is an opportunity of a lifetime! If your never going to own one you might as well at least be able to play a bit right?? LOL :rotfl:

I made a mistake on the colour though - it's going to be white! So I'm off to replace that green one with a white one now.

Thanks for checking in and leaving some comments for me to read everyone :)

OHHH - I did another outside run yesterday :goodvibes and it sucked brutally :scared: and now i have shin splints (I couldn't bring myself to wear my new runners outside b/c there are still lots of puddles and some snow) and my butt hurts too.

Oh well, hopefully the weather stays nice so I can get this body trained the PROPER way and not have to die doing a 5K. I only did 3K b/c i found it so hard.

Today I'm getting stuff ready for our Toy Story 3 theme night so I'll post pics before the weekend is done on that :)

Wow on that car!!! Whew, she's a beauty!!! That sounds like SO much fun! When my DH saw the picture of it, I think he might've drooled just a little bit. :lmao:

And shin slints? Bless your heart, those are NO fun. I had them several times when I was doing competitive cheerleading, and they just plain ole sucked. I hope they are better soon! Lots of stretching, lots of hot baths and even more tylenol or aleve always helped me.

I know - they REALLY SUCK!! I havn't gotten them in AGES but I used to every time I'd go for a long walk. Then i got my runners and never had the problem again. I did use my old runners outside though so that probably didn't help my cause. They were still sore today but for the sake of not wrecking the role I'm on I forced myself to go anyway. I especially couldn't postpone my run b/c DD was going with me since the forcast was for nice weather :goodvibes

So, on March 17th we did another /Dinner/Movie Theme Night:goodvibes

We havn't ridden Toy Story Midway Mania (did I get that right?) and we havn't watched Toy Story 3 so we figured that we should have a Toy Story 3 theme night to get ourselves even MORE excited for the new ride!! (If that's even possible :lmao:)

Soooo, the movie
....

Aaaaannnnddd, the SPREAD!... :hyper:

DSC_3950.jpg

Mmmmmm! now let me show you and explain the spread a little better...

We started off with Mr Tortilla Heads!
Now, let me tell you - we have not seen this movie yet so when I researched the food for the show I just thought the tortilla heads were just a spin off of Mr. Potato Heads. Imagine all our excitement when we realized there REALLY WAS a Mr. Tortilla portion in the movie!!!:rotfl2:

We all got a good chuckle out of that!!! Now take a look at our Mr. tortilla Heads and If you dare - try and guess our personalities by our Tortilla Heads. i'd like to see if you can guess which one was mine ;)

DSC_3965.jpg

DSC_3969.jpg

We had some salad too as you can see in the "spread" picture but it doesn't have anything to do with the show so we won't go into that.

So that means next comes our other vegis to go with our meal. We had lots of vegis ON the tortillas of course but these little guys are SSOOO cute that when I saw them online I just HAD TO MAKE THEM!!!
Here are our ALIEN CUCUMBERS...

DSC_3942.jpg

So, how cute are THOSE right?!?!?!

Next we are on to dessert and of course what is a Toy Story themed event without Alien cupcakes?!?! Here they are...

DSC_3931.jpg

and as you can see DD definitely approves of them :thumbsup2

DSC_3979.jpg

Aaannnndd, a little bit of snacks for the movie!

DSC_3953.jpg

These have nothing to do with the movie by the way but I used them for the cupcakes and it was St. Patricks Day so it was the perfect lil green snack to eat with our movie :thumbsup2

Next up will be DAY 9 PLANS. I think I might start doubling up on some dates since i have so many left to do!!!!!! Especially if it's a slower day.

Toy Story 3 movie night is soooo cute! What a great job you did with the food!!! Love the PTR:goodvibes
