Desiree's Journal - (Posts welcome)

Let's see if I remember Friday's menu:

B- Nutrigrain Bar
L- Chicken and rice casserole
D- Popeyes

Yesterday we went to the beach at Ship Island so everything was off
B- Chicken salad Sandwich w potato chips :(
L- Tuna Salad Sandwich
D- Arby's Roast Beef Sandwich with potato cakes.

Needless to say my choices could been much better. I didn't do so good this week at all. I'm back up to my starting point of 190 so it's like I'm back at the beginning. Not sure if I'll even be able to go to the gym today as I've got a sunburn. Not too bad, but I'm still very tender. :(

Bad couple of days.

Well I did much better today despite not getting all my water in.

B- Nutrigrain
L- Subway turkey & ham on wheat w/ Baked Lays
D- Talapia w/ small serving of mashed potatoes and green beans

Also did 35 on the Elliptical and 45 min. in the weight room and I upped some of my routine's weight by 5 pounds. Just the stuff that was getting too easy. Mainly legs and a couple of arm ones. I've decided I also need to do the sit-ups every day. Not just on weight days at the gym.

Chris has stopped going to the gym, but my mom started. :( I wish he'd go too. He's still trying to cook better for us and will help with that, but I'm afraid he's lacking motivation. Maybe if he sees me loose alot of weight and look all sexy he'll want to start going back. :) I'm not going to take him off the membership either. It would only save $10.00 bucks by doing so, so it's not a real big deal, other than the fact that he isn't going. But my mom does seem to be enjoying it so far. I had a rude awakening though. I didn't realize it (she always "seemed" much bigger to me) but she's only 10 pounds heavier than I am now. UGGH! Boy is that horrible wake up call.

:wave2: Hi Desiree,
I'm happy to hear you are still going to the gym even if Chris hasn't been joining you. It's good that you are still eating healthy together. Every little lifestyle change makes a difference :D . Take care and have a great night  .

Desiree, hang in there and keep getting to the gym! We all go through those periods of low motivation - Chris will get back into it soon if he sees you going. It's neat that your mom is going now!! Maybe you inspired her??

Drink your water, Desiree!! :drinking: :drinking: :drinking:

:wave2: Hi Desiree,
Just checking in to say hi and see how you're doing :D .

Hey Desiree,

Long time no talk. Just wanted to say hi!

Later,

The incredible shrinking one!

Dax

Hey guys. Sorry it's been a while since I've posted. I'm still exercising but having some trouble getting down a few sizes. I'm not dropping anything yet. :( It's been a rough couple of weeks. We had to put Devyn in the hospital with a staph infection (another one) and she was dehydrated too. So needless to say, with makeup homework and everything else, it's been really hectic around here! I'll try to post more though! I am still going to the gym. I need to work a bit better on getting my water in and making better choices.

Oh my goodness, Desiree!:earseek:

How is Devyn doing now? We will be saying prayers for her complete healing and for her to be able to get caught up at school.

Des, you are an amazing woman! With all that you have been through, you still managed to take the time and exercise. (I'm sure that helped relieve some of the stress that can come with a hectic schedule.) I am proud of you! Way to go!:cheer2:

Have a great day today! Sending prayers and :wizard: for all of you!

Tracy:wave2:

Hey Desiree,

I hope little one gets to feeling better! It is never fun to go to the hospital.

Well, I just had to get your take on the LSU-OSU game. You guys dodged a major bullet! Were you there?

Well, after Kentucky's anemic performance at Louisville, 28-0 Sunday, we Wildcat fans are looking forward to basketball season! Oh well, you can't win everything can you?

Gotta run,

Dax

Desiree, I sure hope Devyn is feeling all better and ready to get back to school! Best wishes for a week that is less hectic!

Thanks everyone! She's doing much better! It seems to have cleared up fairly fast. Thank goodness!

Dax: Oh man. .Yes, I was there. It was pathetic. We totally didn't deserve to win. I feel really bad for the Oregan St. fans. They really played their hearts out and oh that poor kicker. :( Saban better chew some butt out for sure. At least we may have found a starting qb though. But offensive line, there is none. And defense was hit and miss. We really better get it together before SEC play starts.

Oh I guess I should post about what I've been doing this week! I started a new program that our governor initiated called "Lighten up Louisiana". I'm keeping track of my miles a day and amount of veggies and fruit I eat. Not to mention exercising. So it's been fun so far!

Desiree,

The movie that you are going to be in, you know who those 5 black starters beat in the Championship game don't you.....my Kentucky Wildcats!

Desiree, I hope that you knew that!!!

Anyway, we are real worried about that movie up here in the Bluegrass state. Our main concern is that they will cast us in a negative light with regard to race, especially our coach at the time Adolph Rupp. It was a great thing that happened and I think we would all agree that it was an important milestone in America, but the national media tends to really play up certain aspects of history to meet its own needs. Coach Rupp has been cast in the past in a light that was not really fair. One of the main advisors for the movie is a guy named Larry Conley who was a member of the Kentucky team (Rupp's Runts) at the time and he has said that he will do his best to make sure Kentucky and coach Rupp are given a fair shake.

You probably already knew this, but Ben Affleck is playing Texas Western's coach in the movie. Try to restrain yourself!

Dax

Ahh.. I didn't realize it was about the namesake of your basketball arena. Yikes, Yea, I know movies about things such as race do tend to put a negative light on people in that time. I hope they don't go that route with this movie. I think Affleck dropped out after all the Bennifer business and Josh Lucas replaced him. Which I'm not complaining in the least! He's not hard on the eyes thats for sure! Well I'll keep you posted on how the filming goes and all the famous folk I see. :) It seems Louisiana is getting alot of movie opportunities lately. When Monster's Ball was filming in and around the area, Chris saw Billy Bob and Angelina (when they were still an item).

:wave2: Hi Desiree,
Just checking in to see if how you're doing :D . The new state program sounds fun. Good luck with it ::yes:: !

Hey Desiree,

If there are any former Kentucky players there, (Larry Conley, Pat Riley etc...) try to get an autograph for your old Kentucky pal huh?

Hope you have fun!

Dax

Hey guys. I'm back revisiting my journal that I've all but abandoned. I'm not doing so well. I've still be exercising regularly, but my eating habits are back in the gutter. And I've really got to lay off the beer. I've been relaxing by having 1 or 2 a night. I know what I have to do and I've just got to do it. Less than a month to go to the wedding and I've not lost an ounce. In fact, I've gained. So here I am again. Will you have me back?

Dax: They cancelled the filming because of the hurricane a few months ago but when they did reschedule it, it was smack in the middle of my wedding shower (which was fantastic, btw!). So needless to say, I couldn't go. I really wanted to do it also. :(

In other news, Devyn just finished up Volleyball season at her school and just got asked to be a Ball Girl for the LSU Women's Basketball team! I think I'm more excited about it than her! They asked us to pick the games that we'd, er, SHE! (freudian slip there!) would be willing to work. Well I made several circles around the Tennessee vs. LSU game! hehehe Our girls will be on national tv several times this year, so if you watch closely enough for the girls who wipe the sweat off the court, you may just see Devyn!

I'm getting ready to go pound the pavement at the gym and then go tailgating for the football game. That's where my downfall has been alot lately. Too many chips and dips and desserts. I vow (again) that this will stop and one day I'll see 125 again.

Hope you all are doing well.

 Welcome back, Desiree! How is the wedding and honeymoon planning going? It's hard to believe it will be THIS month, isn't it?

Hope you have a great day :sunny: !

Thanks Val! Yes! I can't believe it's this month either!! :) Yes, we're pretty much finished with everything. Just waiting for it to happen now!

About to head to the gym and then go vote. I love free days off! :)

Y'all have a good day!

Hey Desiree,

I too have been on an extended eating binge, but to quote George Costanza, "I'm back baby, I'm Back!!!!!!!!!!!".

That's great news about your daughter getting to work the LSU girls games!

Gotta run,

Dax
