Departure Day park. January 24 is out flight out

If I am planning on flying out at 7:45pm and I have a park ticket for departure day, what park is best to try to hit?
We are staying at BWI,
I am thinking HS or maybe hit Disney springs and drop a park day?

There is no best answer other than the park you want to visit. It would be easier to visit DHS, leaving your bags at Boardwalk, as you can walk there and back. I would take an Uber/Lyft to MCO to maximize your day. I would not use Magical Express as it will cut short your park time. If you have TSA PreCheck and are not checking bags you could easily stay at the park until 5:00. If not, I would be out of the park by 4:30 if using a rideshare, expecting 45 minutes to get back to the resort, grab bags, and get a ride.

With not flying out until 7:45, I think any park except Epcot is a good choice. Studios and Magic Kingdom have the most attractions so I would probably choose there, but I recently did Animal Kingdom before a 4 pm flight and it was great. Got on all the rides I wanted to, watched Festival of the Lion King, and ate at Satuli before having to leave.

If you are taking Magical Express they will probably pick you up around 4:45. If you go to a park where you need to take a bus allow at least 90 minutes to exit the park and walk to the bus stop, wait for the bus, the buses are funning slow because lack of drivers. Usually when we stay at BWI or YC/BC our park day is Epcot with a meal at Via Napoli

You won’t be taking DME … service stops after the first of the year … unless you are lucky enough to have a trip scheduled to start before the 1st! We will be at BWI in December and will, as always, spend our last day at Epcot. The fact that it is now apparently opening at 11:00 stinks but we will make the best of it and sleep in a little, pack in the AM and enjoy a leisurely breakfast at Trattoria al Forno before going into the park at the 10:30 early entry time.
We will take MDE one last time … have no problem getting to the airport early (we have a 5:00 PM flight). We got stuck in horrendous security lines once at MCO and barely made it to our flight so we are a bit “gun shy” about cutting things too close! It’s a short last morning but by that point in our trip we’re ready for a little bit of a slowdown.

Just a reminder that Disney's Magical Express (DME) ends Dec 31, 2021 so in Jan 2022, DME will not be an option.

This is great to hear. We are doing a quick weekend this weekend, and I was thinking of doing it on our departure day since we will have to leave early-mid afternoon for our flight. We will have hoppers, so I guess if we run out of things to do/see on Saturday and Sunday, we could swing over to AK, but since we've never done any of the Star Wars at HS, I think that may take a good chunk of a day.

We could not decide on a last park for our last visit. we ended up doing our one ride at each park. If you have hoppers you could probably do two under current rules. Go to HS and then take Skyliner over to Epcot. Then again you run the risk of being stuck on an unmoving gondola has your flight takes off. Second thought one park sounds good.:thumbsup2
