Delta Song have FREE tv?

Does anyone know if Song direct tv is free of charge? I know on Jetblue it is, atleast basic is (not sure if there the possibility of ordering pay preview type movies) I'm only interested in a basic plan.

Yes, they are free, and they are wonderful!!! I have two small boys, and the TV's were a blessing!! I will only fly Song from now on!!

P.S. The free headphones they give you are a little uncomfortable, so if you have some of your own, bring them! The seats have a standard jack for the headphones!

Another big thumbs up for Song and it's t.v.'s. We love it. We usually buy one of the two movies offered for my dd. When she's done watching it, she amuses herself with the basic t.v. stuff. DH and I love to track our flight and play the music trivia game with the other passengers.

Yep, Delta Song has 20 something free channels, music, and a trivia game you can play with other passengers. They are on Dish Network.

JetBlue also has free TV.

I agree about the headphones, bring your own if you have them.

I am fascinated that you can see what state you are flying over now, with these GPS systems on the tv screens. But what exactly does it say on the screen, is it a map on the screen with the name of the city you're flying over or what?

On that channel you get alternating screens, two have maps, a somewhat wide multi-state area and a somewhat closer up less-than-one-state view, respectively. A few cities are named. The approximate position of the airplane is shown too. One other screen has numbers -- air speed, altitude, outside temperature, distance traveled.
