Does anyone know if the MD-88's have the video screen on the back of the seats? I know the 737's had them but this time flying the MD-88. Thanks!

They do not. DH works on the MD-88s plus we fly them all the time when going to visit the in-laws. I'm sorry. It is a small plane. HTH

The MD-88 has a 2x3 seating configuration in coach. There are no video screens in the back of the seats in the Delta MD-88s. Honestly there aren't video screens in the 737 seat backs either on Delta. The only Delta planes that I have ever seen these options on are the former SONG 757s, SOME of the 767s and the 777s.

If you are on the MD-88 try to sit as far forward as possible. The engines are in the back of the plane and it is LOUD back there!

Whether any type of planes have tv screens in the headrest or not, is actually up to the individual airline itself.
Any type of airplane can be fitted with them, its whether the airline feels it worth the investment.
You would be better off calling the airline itself and asking the question or I'm sure there is someone on the boards here that will be able to answer your question specifically relating to Delta's MD-88's.

What 737 has video screens? You mean 320?

MD-80 series -- think DC-9.

We have an airline up here in Canada called Westjet that only uses 737's like
Southwest and they are all fitted with TV screens.

Delta MD series aircraft 88 or 90 do not have audio or video sytem.
Bring along a portable DVD player
