Delta credit card

How does the delta credit card work? Can you cancel before the year is up to not have to pay the fee. I was looking at booking a trip this week, so before I would get the card if I applied. After adding up seat fees, bag fees etc delta ends up being less expensive. Then we wouldnt have to stress about packing tons of carryon to save from baggage fees. How long would it take to appy and get my card? I don't know if its worth the risk of tickets going up in price?

you can cancel before the year is up and you will not have to pay the fee. It can take up to 2 weeks to get the actual card.

You don't have to use the card to buy the tickets. You just have to have it linked to your skymiles account when you check-in to get the free bag. I have bought tickets for business on my corporate card and got the free bag.

I thought you had to purchase your Delta tickets with the AXP card from them...now that I think about I'm "almost" positive it's a requirement that you have to use the Delta Credit Card to buy the tickets. Perhaps your corporate account is different from individuals?
