Delicious Bites, Halloween Frights & Character Delights. NEW PTR HAS BEGUN!

Congrats on your surgery!! I'll be keeping you in my thoughts for a good surgery and great results!! Great food list, can't wait to hear all of the reviews!!

Wow, LL, good luck with your surgery!! You must have done well on your program to be having your operation sooner than you expected.:goodvibes Will Marc's surgery be soon after yours? You'll definitely be in my thoughts and my prayers.

LL:

That is soooooooo awesome that you are having lap band surgery. That surgery has became very low risk and very routine. You are about to embark on the first day of the rest of your life! You better start packing your "skinny" clothes because you will have already lost weight by the time you leave. Your life is going to change so much over the next year!

congratulations for making the decision. you know you will have lots of unseen faces sending you much support!:thumbsup2

GL with your surgery! A lady in my knitting class had it done in the Fall and the results have been amazing.

I vote for adding Kona. I love Kona!

Allyson

Congratulations on your surgery being so soon! I know you are very excited!

I am most looking forward to your review and photos of Jiko! :goodvibes

Hi LL!

I want to wish you luck with your upcoming surgery!!! My thoughts and prayers will be with you!!

Your lists look good and I"m glad to hear that you will be okay for your trip!! Best wishes always!!:goodvibes

I'm so excited about your surgery! You will have quite an adventure ahead of you with your weight loss!
I hope you will post lots of photos so your DIS friends can see your transformation...

Good idea foregoing the DDP, it would be great if you could find someone to split meals with you.:goodvibes

Congrats on your surgery! That is great that you get to have it earlier than planned and still go to Disney.

I just heard on the Podcast that if you explain that you have had weight loss surgery and you eat at a buffet you can get the child's pricing. I'm not sure if just tell your server or you need a special card from guest services.

I agree that not being on the dining plan is a good thing. You don't know at this point what you will want to eat so it is better to be flexible.

You'll be in my thoughts.

I was just about to post the same thing about the buffets at Disney! They are very accommodating. :thumbsup2 I also once ordered off the Children's Menu at a CS and they didn't bat an eye.

I wish you ALL the best with your surgery!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

I don't know much, but one gal at my church had it done (not sure what type?) and the results have been amazing, both physically and mentally. As her body was changing right before her eyes, she said her mindset and outlook on life and food was also changing. She had rave reviews of the surgery and it was one of the best decisions she has ever made! :goodvibes

Are you planning on sharing pictures with us as you go on your weight loss journey? Weight loss pictures are also so inspiring!

Oh, and I just thought of something - your trip is probably cheaper now, so that just means more money to spend on souvies, right??? LOL

LL, good luck with your surgery. I will be thinking of you.

I wonder, have you ever thought of having tea at the Grand Floridian? It's so nice, and you have the option of ordering many, if not all of the items a la carte, so you could really piece together a little something if that's all you want/can eat! :goodvibes

Thank you EVERYONE for all the wonderful wishes about my surgery.

Your list looks great. I can't wait to hear your review of Jiko

Good luck with your surgery.
Thank you so much. I'm really looking forward to trying Jiko.

Congratulations on having the surgery before your trip! I hope it works well for you and you are able to meet all your goals. :goodvibes I hope you'll keep us updated on your experience/progress.

Our favorite restaurants are Kona Cafe for dinner, Raglan Road, and 50's Prime Time Cafe. Those are the restaurants we went to in April that we will be revisiting in September - they all made the good enough to repeat cut. If I had to chose just one of those I think it would be Kona Cafe, unless you are planning on being at DHS, then I would do 50's Prime Time.
Thanks for the suggestions. I think for right now I am just not going to schedule any other ADRs.
The ressies look good....I hope you still enjoy a little of all your favorites!!!!
That's the plan!

Good luck with your surgery!

Your dining looks great! I don't know if I could do a buffet by myself either. More comfortable eating by myself with a server - sometimes you strike up a conversation with them.
I agree...a buffet seems a bit different then a sit down place.

I'm so happy for you!! I know you are very excited about being able to have the surgery so soon and I'm very happy that it won't be interfering with your trip, that would be a major no no LOL!!!!! I hope all will go well with the surgery!!!

YAY for lots of updates!!!!

Your ADR list looks like a lot of fun!!!!! I'm sure you'll figure something out on Thursday and Friday...if not you could just snack your way through each park just eating a little here and there!
Thanks. I think I am just going play it by ear. :thumbsup2

I'm a bit behind and just read your lists. You should totally do Expedition Everest! It is pretty similar to Thunder Mountain but faster. You can do it!
I hope so!! Still a little scared!

You are having Lapband????? i will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Do you have to do the liquid diet beforehand like Gastric Bi-pass?

You have a pretty good dining list! I've very excited for you all around today
Yes I am. I will have to a clear liquid diet for one week after surgery. The recovery is not quite as long as gastric bypass. I've been on a diet for about month so far and have lost 12.6lbs. I technically need to lose 8lbs for my surgery to happen by they are not worried about me losing it before August 26th. It's doable!

Wow, that is some news. Good Luck with your surgery... you will certainly be in my prayers. I hope too that you have the results you hope for. I totally think the no dining plan is a good option for you then too.
I think so too. I think I'll mainly be eating off of the appetizer menu.

Good luck with your surgery :flower3: My next door neighbor (who I am taking to Disney next May) had the lap band surgery last year and she is doing great:thumbsup2 I on the other hand go over the top eating when I am there so she will be able to keep me in check!

Tracy
:lmao: I've heard a lot of success stories and they are all so encouraging.

Congratulations on your upcoming surgery. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. :littleangel:

Mmm food....
Thank you!

Good luck with the surgery!
Thank you.

Your ressies all look great-I like all of those places-and with the exception of Brown Derby where I never finished my meal..(.:confused3-someday) think the food is very good...

I'm sending you all kinds of good wishes and thoughts for a safe surgery with a skilled surgeon and a comfortable and easy recovery...
Thank you so much. I adore Brown Derby, I just won't be eating quite as much as I thought. :rotfl2:

Wow for the surgery! Your scheduled date is the day after I come back from our trip... you'll be in my thoughts. And yes, yay for the extra updates!

pixiedust:
Wow...that makes it seem so much closer! :scared1:

Wow, LL, good luck with your surgery!! You must have done well on your program to be having your operation sooner than you expected.:goodvibes Will Marc's surgery be soon after yours? You'll definitely be in my thoughts and my prayers.
Yes, they were very happy. Marc has a bit more weight to lose than me so the surgeon is looking at October for him.

Thanks, MEK. I'm really excited. Just with losing the 12lbs I already feel my clothes fitting differently and such.

Thanks! I love Kona too, so very yummy.

I am very excited although last night I started to get a bit nervous when I was thinking about it.

Hi LL!

Thank you! Missing my trip would have been a deal breaker...I really want to go. :rolleyes1

I'm really happy that I am getting it sooner. I was a bit overwhelmed when I found out since I had to make arrangements with work and such but everything is going good with that.

I was just about to post the same thing about the buffets at Disney! They are very accommodating. :thumbsup2 I also once ordered off the Children's Menu at a CS and they didn't bat an eye.

I'm going to have to look into this whole buffet thing, especially when both Marc & I go on our next trip.

I already have such a better mindset, things are going really great. I can't wait to see how everything works out. Of course I will share pictures!! :thumbsup2

LL, good luck with your surgery. I will be thinking of you.

Thanks, TK! I have thought about doing it, I just don't know if I can fit it in this trip. Hopefully though it's something I can do in the future. :thumbsup2

Just want to add my congratulations and good wishes for your decision to have this surgery! I think it's terrific and am so relieved it won't interfere with Disney! We have some great meals planned!!

Hmmm... nothing on Thurs or Fri. You might want to add one. But on the other hand there will be lots of noshing around the World Showcase if you and Epcot kiss and make up. ;)

:rotfl: If Epcot and I kiss and make up!? :rotfl2: That is hilarious. Thanks for the chuckle! :rotfl:

This trip is totally sneaking up on me!! I can't believe we are only at 54 Days. Yikes! :scared1:

Seeing that I am staying at three different resorts I thought it would be nice to have a list of things that I want to do at each of them.

All Star Movies Resort:
*Explore the gift shop
*Take pictures of the giant icons
*Take a swim in the pool time permitting

This is the shortest list since I'm only here one night. I would like to take a walk of the grounds to explore since I feel like I never got around to doing that at Music in May.

Old Key West Resort:
*Night Swims
*Explore the Resort, taking lots of pictures
*Take the boat to Saratoga Springs or Downtown Disney

Okay, I guess this is a short list too. BUT the biggest thing for me at OKW is to get the feel of a DVC resort. Marc & I really want to buy DVC within the next couple of years and Marc has requested that I take a lot of pictures and take notes about OKW. Also that explains the stop at SSR, plus you know how I love those Disney boats!

Port Orleans Riverside:
*Night Swims
*Photo Tour of the Resort
*Boat to DTD.
*Relax by the Pool
*Explore the food court options
*Take a stroll to POFQ.

I am so excited about my two nights at POR. For some reason I have become obsessed with this resort and as long as my stay is a good one I am 99% sure Marc & I will be staying here in December 2010. It just seems like such a relaxing resort and that is one of the things that we both loved about Wilderness Lodge. We like to have peaceful downtime back at our resort. I also want the chance to check out POFQ in case I find that resort more peaceful/relaxing. Must explore all options! I want our December 2010 trip to be a celebration extravaganza!

You know I love lists, and I'm especially into this one! What a great idea to make a list of the things you want to do at each resort.

And I can't wait to see what you think of OKW as well, it's one of the resorts I haven't stayed at, so I'll be looking forward to lots of pictures right along with Marc! :goodvibes

I also think you need to find a seat in the lounge if you can and check out the singer... he is so much fun and a treat to see.

As for my  of POR, it is a fantastic resort, so pretty. The girls and DH loved FQ too, probably because the size cannot be beat. Despite being a DVC member I am secreting hoping we get to stay there a lot still... it was my FB resort of choice from the quiz, and I am not surprised at all! It also has a great gift shop, they seem to have stuff I don't see anywhere else!

Lists help organize my jumbled brain! :rotfl:

I have heard such great things about OKW that I am really excited to be staying there. :cool1:

Oh yes, I was going to check the singer out too! I forgot about that.

I hope you get to stay there a lot too. Between your TR from last year and CP's, I have been dying to stay there. Last September we drove past the resort on one of the buses and I was dying to check it out. I can't wait!!

Definitely take a boat to Saratoga Springs! If you like peaceful/relaxing resorts you'd probably like SSR. It seems like a lot of people on the DIS complain about it but it is a nice place.

oooohhhh photo tour of POR, can't wait :thumbsup2:cool1:popcorn::

If I go without kiddos in March we might stay at POR, I have a huge list of resorts I want to stay at over the course of the next ten years or so:rolleyes1

And I like you LOVE lists, you should see my notebook and binder oh and some saved on my computer:lmao:

:woohoo::yay: 54 days :yay::woohoo:
