Delicious Bites, Halloween Frights & Character Delights. NEW PTR HAS BEGUN!

Hey LL, I'll echo pretty much what everyone has said here and say good for you making that difficult decision. Booking your January trip must have gone a long way to help and also knowing you'll be a brand new LL by the time you go :thumbsup2 Starting a family is of course the most motivation of all!

Hey LL, just the same thoughts as everyone else. Sorry about canceling Disney, but it is a good decision. Your health comes first :thumbsup2 And Disney in January, just imagine it won't be so hot and sticky, hehe, and more time to plan and shop:rolleyes1 for your trip ;) I'll have to keep my eye open for when you start your new PTR. Best of luck with the surgery:goodvibes

LL, great for you to have booked the new trip already!! I am really sorry that we will miss you by just a week or so! But then you will be able to come back with the newest updates on the world for us! :goodvibes Looking forward to the new PTR!

LL,
I really have to agree with everyone and think that it is best and a good idea that you wait a bit before you go. My neighbor was off work quite awhile and like you said you don't want to go and not have a good time! :goodvibes
It is important that you take the time out for yourself to heal and feel better and then to just think that you will be back there soon enough! :)
Please take good care of yourself and keep us in the loop of your success!
Tracy

It really does stink to be a grown up!! When are you going in January?? I called and booked last night to make myself feel better.

We're not quite sure yet. We really just want a good AP rate on a room and are hoping for a weekend away, possibly a Saturday to Tuesday.

Did you start a new PTR yet? :goodvibes

LL:

You will love going in January. The weather is so much nicer and the crowds are wonderful. Don't feel bad about canceling. You didn't know your surgery was going to be scheduled we you planned your trip. First things first. Keep us posted with all the highlights of your surgery and your january trip. :flower3: You didn't really want to change resorts three times anyway.

We have a bariatric surgery program at the hospital where I work and you will be out of bed walking the next day. You are going to do great! :thumbsup2 Just make sure your taste buds like crystal light, because that's what they give you to drink afterwards.

*I already had a trip where conditions were not ideal (blisters) and I know that I will not enjoy myself if I am not feeling 100%. I don't pay good money to be miserable.

I'm doing this surgery so that I can be healthy, happy and more ready to start Marc & I's own little family. I can't be upset that this wonderful surgery is going to postpone my Disney plans. It's very worth it. :goodvibes

I do know that. My stupid leg just aggravated me the whole time, and that part was no fun. Not being able to do something as simple as walk around WS without excruciating pain was just ridiculous to me.

Starting a family is a great motivation for any sacrifice you may make. And MEK is right, January weather will be much more comfortable than September weather.

A sweet little baby to love is a great prize at the end of this journey! Good luck with everything!

LL, I do understand completely and think you have made the right decision! I bet you are a lot less stressed now, aren't you? We will meet one day -- I just know we will!

LL, there is so much to write here. I think your decision is a great one for you! I also want to wish you the best with your upcoming surgery. From all I have read you are a great gal and it sounds like you have made some excellent choices for your future.
Although we are all sad that you can't go this trip, I think January is a much better time - that's when I am going (jan 23 -31). I have been in Jan 2007 and 2009 around MLK. The weekend surrounding MLK is busier than expected, but not horrible and the weather was nice, being from the north we handled this 2009 cold spell just fine.
I can't wait to hear about your new adventures!

I'm sorry you had to cancel your trip - but, it does sound like you are making the best decision for yourself and your family (current and future! :yay:). I was a bit nervous about you traveling so soon after surgery too, I'm sure this is a huge weight off your shoulders.

I look forward to the new PTR! Just think how good you are going to feel in January!

I LOVE your new ticker, the pics are beautiful. :goodvibes

Ditto to what everyone said! You are doing the right decision. Good job! :thumbsup2

Let me know when you post your January PTR as I'm not on that board much.

I will continue to pray for your safe outcome with the surgery. Maybe I can come down in January too! :goodvibes
I say the more the merrier in January!

Yes, booking January really helped. It was hard to postpone but I know I am doing the right thing.

More time to plan and shop is always a good thing....though Marc might not agree! :rotfl2:

I will. I'll make sure on my new PTR to have updates the day of my surgery!

Not yet, probably tonight or tomorrow. I need to fine tune my new title. :rotfl:

Oh yes, I have been trying to find the best protein shake combination for myself. Bah. One week of liquids is going to be ROUGH. :lmao:

I think the January weather will be delightful, it's a big motivation to go then. The reason I decided to do this surgery is to have a family so any sacrafice I have to make is well worth it. :goodvibes

I think January weather will be way better than the New England snowy weather. :rotfl: Thanks for your kind words.

Thanks on the ticker. I love how it turned out. :thumbsup2

I'm planning to start my new PTR either tonight or sometime this weekend. I will post the link here when I do. :thumbsup2

Don't worry about the week. It will fly by. When I was in high school I had to have surgery on my jaw that required me to have it wired shut for two months, and then I couldn't really eat solid food for another month after that until my jaw learned how to work again. My advice is to avoid anything that smells really good. I don't want to tell you how much I was craving the weirdest things just because they smelled good.

I hope it does. Though, I will eat 6 times a day. One meal will be broth or 1/2 cup of jello and then the next meal will be a protein shake, so I will alternate those over the course of the day.

Already with the diet I am on, it's amazing how much less I eat and how sometimes I have to force myself to eat all of what I am supposed too. I thought I would miss things like french fries and potatoes but the thing I crave 24/7 is the spinich dip with tortilla chips from Bugaboo Creek. :rotfl:

I'm late to chime in...however you know my feelings on wanting you to be happy and not stressed on your next Disney trip LOL!!!! I saw how hard it was at times for you in May and I would not want that for you again, I'm glad you listened to your heart and made this decision!! Besides I'm a full supporter of going to Disney in January its a beautiful time of the year...you know if you go near MLK weekend...I have 2 days off from work then maybe I could come visit you LOL!!!!! :rolleyes1 (Feel free to try to enable me, of course you might want to try to enable Prince P which might mean a week of really bad bejeweled scores...I'll let you think about who's idea that was LOL)!!

I would be more than happy to have a week of low bejeweld scores in order for you to join me in January!! :yay:

You should have heard me last night, I beat my own high score and said out loud to the computer "In your face, Prince P". Needless to say Marc laughed at me for quite a long time. :rotfl2: I was looking at our scores last night and though I have more high scores, he has had the highest scores of the two of us much to my chagrin. :rolleyes1
