Delicious Bites, Halloween Frights & Character Delights. NEW PTR HAS BEGUN!

TarzansKat - I can look at your Cpt Jack photos all day (swwoooon) - I think it's time for some more eye candy in my PTR and TR!

I don't get motion sickness, it's more a fear of plunging to my death. :rolleyes1
:lmao::lmao::lmao:

I so get this-it's why I haven't ridden ToT-DH loves it...:lovestruc-but he can't do the teacups-the spinning makes him dizzy...

I'll be riding EE for the first time this trip too...and if I make it through that undamaged-seriously considering Rock r Roller Coaster...:confused3

(I have to do every "thrill" ride before I do ToT-:confused3)

LL, forgive the mini hijack.

I am always happy to oblige with copious photos of Captain Jack. ;)

I just reread your most recent lists. You're really going on Expedition Everest? Bless you! You are a brave, brave soul!!!

I wish I had the courage. :lmao:

LL....you can do EE!!! I just KNOW it!!!! I enjoyed all the references to the Yeti so much, I kind of forgot to pay attention to the coaster part itself!!! YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!! GO LL GO!!!!

You and my DH both. :rolleyes1
Yeah, it's scary!

You will probably get a better outcome with the blurry nighttime Dumbo photo than a daytime one since the shutter will need to be open for a period of time, allowing light in and possibly overexposing the picture. (You can purchase a ND filter to overcome this obstacle, but they can be pricey) - throw this out the window if you have a filter already.
I didn't even think of that, thanks. :goodvibes

Congrats!! Have fun!! Can't wait to hear all about your trip!! Are you going to have a TR? Sorry LL for stealing your PTR! :flower3:
Go right ahead! :goodvibes

Thanks guys. I am thinking about a trip report. I will let you know when I get back.
Yes to the TR! :rolleyes1

Woo hoo for 60 (now 59) days! :woohoo:
WOO HOO!

I don't think I'll ever do Rock N' Roller coaster. TOO SCARY!

LL, forgive the mini hijack.

Go right ahead! :thumbsup2

Well, the Food List has changed drastically since the beginning of the week. I have some news to share about why it is changing so much. I'm going to be having gastric banding surgery on August 26th! Gastric banding or (lapband or realize band, you may have seen the commericials) is for weight loss which I have struggled with my whole life. Marc & I are both in the program and have been working towards this goal. I didn't think I'd be able to have mine so soon but they told me yesterday so I'm having surgery before my trip! :scared1:

The surgeon and dietician assured me I will be fine to travel and such so I am still going to Disney! I'll be out of work for a few weeks so expect a lot of updates. ;) I should be eating normally or close to normal by the time the trip rolls around, I just won't be gorging myself so much.

I've been searching the menus on Allears and I know I'll be able to find things to eat at each place, I am only canceling one ADR which is 1900 Park Fare, I was going to do that solo for breakfast. I think going to a buffet by myself will just be silly now.

I've also decided to forgo any Dining Plan, I want the flexibility to order whatever I want and I am not going to need all that food now with my stomach being much smaller.

For now I will just list my ADRs, who knows what I'll be eating when I actually get there!

Sunday:
Whispering Canyon Cafe with Jen.

Monday:
Sci Fi Drive in with Christine.

Brown Derby with Christine, Jen & Paula.

Tuesday:
Jiko with Christine.

Wednesday:

Les Chefs de France with Christine, Jen & Paula.

I still don't have any ADRs for Thursday and Friday. I might add something in for those two days but I am not 100% sure yet. Any suggestions??

Your list looks great. I can't wait to hear your review of Jiko

Good luck with your surgery.

Congratulations on having the surgery before your trip! I hope it works well for you and you are able to meet all your goals. :goodvibes I hope you'll keep us updated on your experience/progress.

Our favorite restaurants are Kona Cafe for dinner, Raglan Road, and 50's Prime Time Cafe. Those are the restaurants we went to in April that we will be revisiting in September - they all made the good enough to repeat cut. If I had to chose just one of those I think it would be Kona Cafe, unless you are planning on being at DHS, then I would do 50's Prime Time.

The ressies look good....I hope you still enjoy a little of all your favorites!!!!

Good luck with your surgery!

Your dining looks great! I don't know if I could do a buffet by myself either. More comfortable eating by myself with a server - sometimes you strike up a conversation with them.

I'm so happy for you!! I know you are very excited about being able to have the surgery so soon and I'm very happy that it won't be interfering with your trip, that would be a major no no LOL!!!!! I hope all will go well with the surgery!!!

YAY for lots of updates!!!!

Your ADR list looks like a lot of fun!!!!! I'm sure you'll figure something out on Thursday and Friday...if not you could just snack your way through each park just eating a little here and there!

I'm a bit behind and just read your lists. You should totally do Expedition Everest! It is pretty similar to Thunder Mountain but faster. You can do it!

You are having Lapband????? i will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Do you have to do the liquid diet beforehand like Gastric Bi-pass?

You have a pretty good dining list! I've very excited for you all around today

Wow, that is some news. Good Luck with your surgery... you will certainly be in my prayers. I hope too that you have the results you hope for. I totally think the no dining plan is a good option for you then too.

Good luck with your surgery :flower3: My next door neighbor (who I am taking to Disney next May) had the lap band surgery last year and she is doing great:thumbsup2 I on the other hand go over the top eating when I am there so she will be able to keep me in check!

Tracy

Congratulations on your upcoming surgery. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. :littleangel:

Mmm food....

Your ressies all look great-I like all of those places-and with the exception of Brown Derby where I never finished my meal..(.:confused3-someday) think the food is very good...

I'm sending you all kinds of good wishes and thoughts for a safe surgery with a skilled surgeon and a comfortable and easy recovery...

Wow for the surgery! Your scheduled date is the day after I come back from our trip... you'll be in my thoughts. And yes, yay for the extra updates!
