Coming out of Lurkdom today :goodvibes Wow how the boys have grown, I read the last TR and they are becoming lil men!

I totally know how you feel about TOT, and I am unfortunately forced to ride this again this upcoming Sept. since dh will not be with us. He is usually the scary ride partner for dd13. So how will you be with RRC? :lmao:

Funny story about the ghost. Last year we stayed at ASMu and dd went in to get a snack while I held our seats outside at the movie and she came back with a brownie sundae.....so not a snack option....but they let her leave with it. When I went back to pay for it they were like oh, okay Thanks. Most people wouldn't have come back in and paid. But it worried me something terrible since I knew it wasn't a snack credit!

Have fun with ToT! It's nuts, but I'm excited for that coaster. I know nothing about it so that could potentially change things, but I always liked coasters growing up in Ohio. They have some nifty ones up there, too! It has been a lot of years since then though..:rolleyes1

Interesting ASMu story. That would've made me nuts, too! I bet most don't actually go back for stuff like this. Those CMs really acted like we were ridiculous for coming back in to pay for it. I guess we know they wouldn't have gone back, right?

Oh my goodness!! The boys look SO MUCH younger in those pictures! I love, love, LOVE that Nemo costume! Sooo adorable!

Don't they?? It's breaking my heart how fast they're growing. The Nemo costume was awesome. His little tail would go back and forth as he walked. It was sooo cute! He hated it though. I don't have a lot of pics because he insisted on taking it off.

My daughter is six.

I have been going through our Disney pictures too, looking at how much she has grown. It goes by way too fast. :(

It really does. :sad1: I wish I could slow it down, just a little bit. Maybe one more year with them like this. I was not prepared for how fast time would fly once we had children. One blink and a year is behind you. It doesn't seem fair. These are the days I wish it would slow down a bit.

October 14th, 2011 * Thursday * Day Twelve

The days and weeks leading up to MNSSHP were a little stressful. Looking back, all that stress was really quite silly. I started off not knowing which party to choose. We knew we wanted something close to Halloween, but not too close or too crowded. I settled on October 14th. It was about the same as we had done the year before.

Unfortunately, John wasn’t going to be able to get away from work the day after. He wouldn’t have to be there early, so a late night would still work for us. We both agreed that staying overnight was silly since we’d have to rush back home early in the morning. I was sad about this being a day trip, but happy that we would be able to make it. (I’m not so sure this is going to work out for 2011!)

Then there was the costume issue..

John and I weren’t going to dress up, but we were clueless on what to do with the boys! Blake insisted he would Peter Pan “like brother was!” and we eventually went with it. I didn’t want him to be stuck in the land of hand-me-downs so I really tried to find a new costume for him. That’s what all the in park costume searching was about. Sadly, we just didn’t care for the other versions! He was excited about brother’s old costume, so we went with it. Might as well take advantage of this while he’s still into it and save some money, right? ;) Andrew picked Hook for his costume when Blake wanted Peter Pan. We thought the Disney Store version was much cuter than the park’s Hook costume and went with that!

Finally! We’re ready!!

Or are we??

As the big day grew even closer, we made a very sad discovery. We only had one of Peter Pan’s boots! I think one of them found it’s way into a box of baby clothes I donated. Oops! I seriously considered buying a brand new costume just for that one boot but ultimately let it go. Neither of us liked the Disney Store costume and the parks turned up nothing. He was still adorable.

So now you know where my head was that morning. :headache:

We slept late that Thursday. The night before had been rough for Blake. He just wouldn’t settle and we all woke up exhausted. A late night at the party wasn’t looking so good. The drive home at the end was looking even worse! Maybe staying overnight wasn’t so bad afterall. I jumped online to see what was available. Disney’s reservation system was down! This day was going great, huh?

I grabbed the phone and called instead. I asked what was open at the values on the AP rate and got three choices. Without thinking, I called them out to Andrew.

“Sports, Music, or Pop?”

“Totally Music!”

The CM on the phone started laughing so hard. I’m thinking most guests don’t plan their resort choice this way? I’d read some TRs with ASMu and went with it. We’re staying overnight!

Then the day started to speed up. I hurried to pack an overnight bag for everyone. We had lunch at home and hit the road. Things should go fine from here on. It was naptime for the boys so I knew the ride would be easy!

However, something was still bugging me as John drove us to WDW. I couldn’t get that missing boot out of my head! I’d bring it up and John would assure me that Blake looked just fine without it. I shouldn’t worry. No one would even know there was supposed to be boots with his costume. I knew though and felt like I was cheating him. I couldn’t help but worry!

“Someday, he’s going to look back at these pictures and think what a rotten mommy he had. She didn’t care enough to buy him a new costume with a boot!”

“No, he’ll look back and think what a wonderful mommy he had for taking him to Disney to begin with!”

“No. He’s going to be hurt and think we love Andrew more.”

“He’ll be fine, but if it really bothers you we’ll check one more place.”

This discussion resulted in the first time our family would go to DTD since Andrew was a baby!

CIMG1583.jpg

CIMG1591.jpg

We parked at DTD and walked to the World of Disney store. The boys were so excited to be at DTD, even if this is as far as we went. I loved the smell and sounds as we walked around. It brought back so many memories! Before kids, John and I would come here to shop now and then. In fact, when we first found out we were expecting Andrew, we took a spur of the moment trip over to buy him something special! We really should plan a day there, but I’m stuck on getting as much park time out of our APs as possible. We’ll have lots of time for DTD soon enough.

This stop didn’t result in anything but some rude guests and CMs who didn’t have a clue! We were sent from one end of the store to the other. The crowds in here were insane! I had Blake in the stroller and John took Andrew’s hand. We repeatedly got separated until I said I’d just wait in one spot and let him look! Eventually, he found a more important looking CM who told him they didn’t have any Peter Pan costumes at all. Too bad. John promised to one day tell Blake how hard we tried to get that boot.

On to ASMu!

CIMG1600.jpg

Gas was so expensive back then, huh?

CIMG1601.jpg

Blake calls it this "Mickey's Duck”

CIMG1602.jpg

CIMG1603.jpg

Check-in was a breeze. Obviously, I hadn’t done online check-in, but it went fairly fast. There was no one else in line. That always helps, right? The CMs here were great. One offered the boys balloon swords. They were thrilled and immediately started battling. Thank goodness the place was mostly empty! John did end that pretty quick though!

CIMG1605.jpg

CIMG1606.jpg

Our room was located at Rock Inn, on the second floor. I had no real knowledge of the resort, but we weren’t doing much beyond sleeping. We didn’t exactly care where the room was! The boys loved it and I enjoyed the music.

CIMG1610.jpg

There are 160 records along the balconies of Rock Inn, just in case you wanted to know. I read it on Disney’s site after and still remember!

CIMG1611.jpg

He was okay with this elevator. Haha.. Even these make me a little nervous though.

The room wasn't very exciting, but it was very clean. The boys rushed to get Stacey on while John left for a much needed cup of coffee.

CIMG1631.jpg

How cute!

CIMG1650.jpg

While John was off getting fuel, I got the boys dressed for the party. I do suspect this might be the reason he needed coffee actually. He didn’t have to help! Men are too sneaky that way. I had told him to grab me a coke if he was abandoning us already!

It was quite a project just to get them changed. They were both wiggling bundles of excited energy! It took some work, but I did transform my sweet little boys into Captain Hook and Peter Pan.

CIMG1657.jpg

How cute are they?

CIMG1663.jpg

They were so sweet to each other and had fun checking themselves out in the mirror for a few minutes. A short few minutes! Afterall, Hook and Pan are enemies, right? Andrew grabbed his balloon sword and challenged baby brother!

CIMG1673.jpg

They had so much fun, but got pretty loud. John walked right into it, so they teamed and attacked him instead. Haha.. It was great! Thankfully, no one was covered in hot coffee.

Saving my soda from the battle, I let them beat him up a bit with their balloon swords. I took a sip and relaxed while I watched my boys play. They were all wound up and ready for fun. This night was going to be interesting!

It’s party time!!

Coming soon!! Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party! :yay: :yay: :yay:

Those costumes looks great! Your boys are too cute!! Can't wait to read about the party! Its a goal of mine to get down there at Halloween some day! For now I'll live vicariously through your trip report!

Love the swords - can't wait to see what a hit I bet they were at the party in those costumes!
Did I even mention that I have a Smee costume - he loved it that I dressed like him at a Pirate and Princess Party a few years back. Hook just tried to order me around!

They look so cute!!
I can't wait to hear about the party!!

I have tried and tried to get my daughter to dress as Wendy (my favorite Disney character) but she is just not interested. :sad2:
she has been Tinker Bell and a pirate. :)

Enjoy! I might be doing the same later this year. Hope we can both somehow manage October trips in the future. I love that time of year!

Those swords were definitely a hit! Too bad they must've deflated while we were at the party and the boys couldn't bring them home to battle. :rolleyes1

I remember you dressing as Smee! That sounded too funny!

Thanks! Dh started saying we needed a little Wendy that night. Yeah right.. That's not happening for us either! Too bad she's not into it, but I bet she was adorable in either of those. I love the little girly pirates!

We didn’t make it the car before we were stopped. A couple headed into their room called to the boys as we walked by.

“They’re so cute!”

This would be the theme for the first couple of hours at MK. The boys ate up the attention this time and posed a bit. It happened so much this time. By the end of the evening, Andrew would be down to saying, “Yes. We are.” and nothing more. :lmao: We hurried them to say thank you so we could get on the road!

CIMG1682.jpg

A tram ride at the TTC, we were waiting to pick up our tickets.

“We’re here for tickets!” Andrew called to the CM.

The CM wasn't amused and I was greeted with raised eyebrows. Rough day maybe? Even though he was ignored, Andrew was thrilled to have Donald on his ticket minutes later. I was a little disappointed. While in line for Soarin’ the last time, I thought I saw someone with Halloween themed tickets. Ours’ were the same as our APs. Boring!

CIMG1686.jpg

When we made it up to the monorail, I noticed something we hadn’t seen before!

CIMG1693.jpg

CIMG1694.jpg

CIMG1695.jpg

CIMG1697.jpg

How cute are they dressed up for the party? I didn’t notice this on our last visit and made sure to get a pic of each.

CIMG1698.jpg

Blake planning out the evening. Guess we'd be walking on our heads..?

CIMG1705.jpg

CIMG1706.jpg

CIMG1707.jpg

Even though the MNSSHP line said to go right, we went left. Haha.. It was still early, so we used our APs to get in, planning to grab our arm bands in the park later.

CIMG1710.jpg

CIMG1713.jpg

Our first stop in the park was over beside Crystal Palace. I loved taking pictures of Andrew here in his costume the year before and wanted to repeat it. It didn’t go quite as well as last time. Too many people wanted to comment on how they looked! We were repeatedly interrupted and an older lady even asked if she could take their picture! That was a little awkward. Geesh though. I thought they looked adorable, but didn’t really expect all of this. John and Andrew were loving all the attention, but Blake and I would’ve been fine with a little less.

Between chats with other guests, I managed a few shots of them.

CIMG1718.jpg

CIMG1732.jpg

CIMG1737.jpg

Andrew loved running his sword back and forth here.

CIMG1738.jpg

Blake hiding from the strangers baby talking to him.

Our next stop of the day was a logical choice. PPF, right? Wrong. These two wanted POTC! We walked over and parked the stroller. As the boys ran to the ride, a CM rushed at Blake.

“I’ve got him for ya, Captain!”

He may have been dressed as Pan’s enemy, but Andrew was a big brother first. He ran towards the CM to rescue Blakers! This confused the other pirate and Pan was easily saved. The CM stood, scratching his head. Aren’t they supposed to be trying to catch Peter Pan? :rotfl:

“Right this way, Captain!” another CM closer to the entrance called us.

The wait time was at five minutes, which we all know means walk on here! Yay! The “Captain” comments started again at the boat and Andrew was given front row. These were his pirates now! He loved how the CMs played up his costume!

In the shop after the ride, we had a side mission to take care of. Captain Hook had his sword, but we forgot to go back to the Disney Store for Peter Pan’s playset. He needed a dagger! While we couldn’t find anything like that, Andrew did spot something he liked for brother. Both of the boys thought it was perfect, so we bought it. The looks I got from a couple other moms while Blake carried around a toy knife were priceless! I must be a bad mommy now, but I promise we do keep the real knives and swords far out of Blake’s reach at home.

CIMG1741.jpg

The next stop on the boys’ list was PPF! Captain Hook and Peter Pan couldn’t possibly come to MK without riding this one eventually. We made our way around the park, pausing to repeatedly hear how cute the boys are, and stopped in front of the ride. It was at 35 minutes. That's a bit much for us, as we still needed to grab an early dinner. Andrew got us some FPs for later on. Our return was 6pm, so it wasn’t too bad. We didn’t have any plans to waste party time on rides, but this was a “must do” on our list.

On to dinner.. Ten Mickey stickers to whoever can guess where we ate! Wait. I’m pretty sure everyone can. We walked back to CHH! Our timing was awesome. It was pretty empty in here so we didn’t wait at all and had no trouble finding a table.

CIMG1747.jpg

CIMG1748.jpg

It was this night that we met perhaps the most “friendly” CM ever. One was walking around and cleaning things up while we ate. Since there wasn’t really anything going on to clean, he decided to come pay us a visit.

It started with talk about their costumes, moved on to the party, then went in so many directions that I didn’t have a clue what he was talking about. He did admit to taking his children to any resort pool he wanted. Is this allowed for CMs? It made me curious. One thing I did know, he wasn’t going anywhere! Maybe it’s just me, but trying to make sure the boys eat isn’t easy with so much attention. He stood beside our table and endlessly talked for over fifteen solid minutes before moving on. Was I wrong to be annoyed? He was just being friendly and doing what he felt was his job, but I couldn’t wait until he moved on!

CIMG1751.jpg

CIMG1752.jpg

After the CM moved on to a new family, the boys finished up their food. It was almost party time and we needed to finally get our arm bands! Blake jumped back in the stroller so we could walk to the rose garden. This is where we’d gotten them last time anyway. Today, it didn’t work. No one was there. The popcorn cart nearby sent us to the front of the park. Guess we should’ve grabbed those earlier afterall, huh?

...next post..

CIMG1754.jpg

CIMG1756.jpg

I kinda want one of these outfits..

Finally where we should have started, a CM greeted us and sent another to the turnstile with our tickets. He pulled out arm bands and explained how they were being given out this year. It turned out that we could’ve just walked over to Stich’s ride instead of all the way up here. Silly Popcorn lady!

While John was putting on his band, Andrew had to address something important. He very carefully explained that Blake was free and that was good. He's just a "little guy" right now. But, it's also bad. If Blake's free, he doesn't get an arm band. Blake thinks arm bands are cool. Andrew wanted to know how much just an arm band was for a free kid!

How sweet, huh? I didn’t expect it, but thought it was adorable that Andrew broke into this. The CM must’ve agreed as Blake was soon wearing his very own MNSSHP arm band! Arm bands for free kids were free. He was so thrilled at having one, too! Andrew is a great big brother.

Still some time to kill before the party actually started, John decided to take the long road back to ride PPF right at six. I wasn’t so sure this plan was going to work. I only had two goals for the night. First, Andrew and I were both hoping to get a picture with the Seven Dwarfs. Second, I wanted to see HalloWishes. The rest of the night would be up to whatever the boys decided.

As six grew closer, I thought it would be best to keep to FL for that pic, but John said we had plenty of time. It was an hour away until the party! He doesn’t read DISboards though and I knew how rough this pic seemed to be. I wasn’t so sure about his decision.

CIMG1762.jpg

CIMG1787.jpg

It’s six!

CIMG1792.jpg

The boys LOVED riding in their costumes. Everytime we’d pass by Peter Pan, Blake would call out. “That’s me!” He was so funny!

Still following my husband’s silly plan, we moved on to Pooh’s ride. At least over here, I could see that no one was lining up for the Seven Dwarfs just yet. Wait times were excellent, but I couldn’t help but worry we’d be in for a longer one soon!

CIMG1795.jpg

CIMG1798.jpg

Hats are made for knife storage. This is where I got those looks.

CIMG1801.jpg

Back from our journey into the 100 Acre Wood, John insisted we still had plenty of time and not to worry about the Dwarfs. Buzz shouldn’t have a wait now either! As I was fully addicted to that ride, we all headed into Tomorrowland.

For a few minutes, Zurg pulled my mind away from the Dwarfs. The ride was fun and I wouldn’t have minded another time. My score was rough, only 347,400. It didn't matter much because it was nearly seven now. We had to get back to Fantasyland! John said I was still being silly. No one would be lining up yet.

Guess what. There was a line. A long line. We joined in and began 40 minutes of waiting for seven special men. I suppose it wasn’t terribly bad. The year before, we’d completely skipped meeting them. The wait was actually fun at times. The boys played with a CM and talked to the other kids. I loved people watching. There were so many creative costumes, but most stuck to different versions of the same. It was neat to see the differences and pick our favorites. I was a little amazed at how little there was to some of the costumes, but that's really a discussion for another board... :rolleyes1 It was all very entertaining anyway!

CIMG1806.jpg

Someone’s so proud of that arm band, huh?

As we waited, the sun slowly disappeared. That part was sad. I was hoping we’d manage to catch them before the light was gone. John noticed this and expressed some concern. Resisting the urge to give him an “I told you so” was tough. Instead, I said it didn’t really matter. The boys would still meet them.

Our turn came and we were rushed into the group. The CM in charge tried to push me into the pic! You know how that turned out. :lmao: She wasn’t playing around or nice about, just rushing things along. They were so quick with the pics here. I wonder how many get through this line during one party. It never seems to get any shorter!

CIMG18101.jpg

Mission Completion! Andrew and I ran off to the side to check out their pic. We met the Seven Dwarfs! Hooray!! Beyond all the costume attention, the day had been a normal visit to MK so far. Now, things were starting to move and we were excited! The best was yet to come!

Coming soooon!! Lots of candy and some wedding planning?

Yeah! I'm catching up...
Love the costumes! The boys look great in them!

Every night the kids tell me there favorite character...and I tell them mine is Captain Hook. They get a kick out of it...:goodvibes

The CM @ CHH was trying to be nice...but I think I would have been a little annoyed too.
I like the 7 dwarfs picture!

I want to go to MNSSHP someday. Maybe this year I can talk DH into it :rolleyes1!

I made my parents stand in line for the Dwarves at the Christmas Party. Man, it took FOREVER, group picture, individual picture, hug this dwarf - no hug that one!
Finally our turn and we felt rushed and the CM who took a picture with my camera was awful - it was fuzzy! And I have a point and shoot - it focuses automatically - how she did that, who knows!?
But dad wore his grumpy shirt - so they bonded!

Once again, I love the costumes!

As far the CM in CHH, I would have been annoyed too! There is a limit between friendly and awkward...and think the line is pretty clear! I hate when things like that happen...

As you were writing about wanting to get in line for the Seven Dwarfs pic in my head I was like "Goooo get in line!!! No time for Buzzz!!" When we were at the Christmas party we waited in line for them for a little over an hour! We waited because, like you, that and the Holiday Wishes were my only two goals for the night! It felt like it ate up our whole evening...glad you were still able to get it done in a reasonable amount of time!

Wedding planning!? Oh oh oh, do mine for me!!! :lmao:

LOVING your report and pictures!! I can't believe how big your boys are getting! The boys looked so STINKIN' cute for Halloween!

BIG KUDDOS to you for taking Andy-Roo on the ToT! Unlike you, I love the ToT, in fact I think it's my favorite in all of DW!

I'm so excited because we booked a trip to WDW for Sept. 11th-18th! :woohoo: Tell Andy-Roo it's just me and DH, no kids!! Well, our kids are MUCH older, they are 23 & 27! They don't know we are going yet, but I can guarantee you they will be jealous!! We took them enough, time for them to pay their own way and go when they want!! :rotfl2:

Just an fyi since I know you are from OH. Not sure you remember, I told you we were moving to OH? Well, we did in Dec. and we had a total of 117 inches of snow!! I'm used to snow because I'm from PA, but that was NUTSO!! AND, guess what....it was flurrying today!!

Some smilies for the boys!
:dance3: :banana::banana::banana: :sail::sail::sail: :mickeyjum:mickeyjum:mickeyjum

We are going to MNSHHP in Sept. and reading your TR I now know I messed up! I made us an ADR at Tonys for 6:50pm thinking we would be done eating about the time of the parade and if possible maybe I could request an outside table. But I forgot about the DWARFS!! argh. Good spot for parade? or Dwarfs short line? :confused3 what to do what to do.......:headache:

Captain Hook is pretty awesome. Good pick for an unusual favorite!

I'll hope you can talk your dh into this year!! It is a lot of fun!

Yay for Grumpy bonding. :thumbsup2 Yuck for a bad pic. You'd think the CMs would have a little bit of experience with different cameras after what they do all day. I wasn't really paying attention to other guests in that line, but we were definitely rushed! I wonder if I followed one of those million hug families.

Once again, I love the costumes!

I was so worried about that line! John kept going on about how much time we had and then acted like he didn't expect that line. Ummm.. I kept saying we should hurry! Oh well. I bit my tongue and let it go. Forty minutes wasn't too bad for that, I suppose. I do wish these parties started earlier so you could accomplish more in those few hours. Guess they're betting on some of us doing more than one to fit it in, I'm sure.

This wedding planning was hilarious! I don't think you'd wanna use it. ;)

Uh oh.. I dunno what to tell you. :confused3 The parade gets so packed, but the dwarfs line was soo long until the end. It's impossible to fit everything in with little waiting! We skipped some stuff this time since we'd done it the year before. I would love to know how they plan these out. With everyone really wanting to accomplish the same things, you spend too much time in line! I know you'll have fun no matter what you decide to focus on! :goodvibes

With the party finally underway, Andrew had only one thing in mind. CANDY! He couldn’t wait to start checking out all the treats stop to see what goodies Disney had planned for us this year. I’d read him the reports from the DIS and my baby had chocolate in his head. We headed straight to Toontown after visiting the Dwarfs.

The first stop has us going into Minnie’s house!

CIMG1812.jpg

CIMG1813.jpg

Looking at this almost had me in tears right now! When we took Andrew on his first birthday, we had a family pic taken back there with Pluto. It was such a special moment for us with some amazing interaction between Pluto and Andy-Roo. Anytime I looked this way on each visit since, I’d think of that day. It’s sad to know I’ll never see it again.

The stop made Andrew’s dreams come true, as he was treated three mini chocolate bars! He was so excited to get them and made everyone stop to check out his bag after. When I reminded him we’d have many more candy treats filling that bag over the evening, he was ready to run to the next one.

Our next stop was a special one!

As we walked into the treat trail, the Mad Hatter was out greeting guests. He was so much fun the year before that we had to join the line! While we were waiting, someone special came skipping up to join him. Andrew was thrilled that he’d be seeing his girl tonight! I’m sure you’ve noticed that our Alice visits weren’t happening as much in this Disney year as the last so this was super exciting!

Alice was so bouncy and full of energy. A little girl dressed as Alice had just left the Mad Hatter, but he pointed her out. Alice ran over to the girl and grabbed her hand. They had to have a picture afterall! How sweet was that? They looked so cute together! :thumbsup2

Still waiting, Andrew was nearly jumping up and down for his turn when he suddenly had something to tell me.

“I’m going to ask Alice to marry me!”

Some history on this.. At the time, Andrew was asking me to marry him all the time! I’m not sure where he picked the idea up, but it was really quite adorable. I couldn’t believe he was now going to drop me for Alice! He was crazy over the idea and whispered it to John, too.

Soon, it was our turn and Andrew ran as fast as he could to Alice! He said he had a secret...

Yep, he proposed.... and she accepted!

Next began the long conversation filled with wedding details. They went on forever! I do sincerely apologize to the other guests waiting, but this was hilarious! They talked about where, the guests, what they should wear, etc.. Would Cinderella let them live in the castle? Andrew was so serious about everything and Alice went right along with him. Thank goodness the Mad Hatter was here to entertain Blake!

They decided the wedding must have tea, of course!

As the wedding details went on, something important had to be discussed. When would this wedding take place? Alice asked if Andrew didn’t think he was really much too young to be getting married. She was still a little girl, too! That was no problem. If Alice found treats to grow taller or shorter, there had to be treats to grow up, too. Right?

“GROW UP??!?!” The Mad Hatter burst in on their conversation. We couldn’t possibly talk about growing up with Peter Pan around! He quickly covered Blake’s ears.

Guests in line behind us were really starting to get grumpy, but we just couldn’t stop laughing. Everything was too funny, especially when the Mad Hatter joined in about Blake being Peter Pan. We did eventually break up the planning for a group pic. This was just the beginng for Alice and Andrew! ;)

Andrew is in love. :)

Saying goodbye, we hurried into the treat trail. A rather large man wasn’t being shy about voicing how annoying we were. I wanted to get some distance between us fast! :scared1:

Blake checking out candy.. Even though the boys had their Mickey Halloween bags, we used the ones Disney gave us. They were so much easier!

The treat trail was a lot of fun. There were three different stops for candy and we walked right through. Andrew got more chocolate, but didn’t get away with scamming both sides of the treat barrels this year. :rotfl: I caught him before he circled around!

Once we were finished, we saw some CMs at the shop by Space Mountain had a sort of hopscotch game set up. Andrew couldn't resist taking a turn. Blake would hop out of the stroller to follow, too!

At the end of the game, they were handing out stickers and buttons. The buttons were too funny. They’d taken the regular “I’m Celebrating” buttons and written, “Halloween In Tomorrowland!” with “2-0-1-0" across the four balloons. So there's a note for you next celebration, imagine how many buttons you could wear if you celebrated your bday in each part of the park! ;)

We stopped for more trick-or-’treating before headed across the park. It was time to track down a pirate.. pirate:

That was fantastic! I was laughing right along with you about Andrew and Alice's wedding! And the part about growing up and the Mad Hatter covering Blake's ears!! I laughed out loud! I wish there was a video!
I can't believe the people in the line were being grumpy. I love standing in line and watching all the interactions the kids have with the characters! It's half the fun!

You have no idea how bad I wish I'd been recording that. I think about it everytime I look at the pics. I was having trouble with my camera as it was and didn't even think about getting some video. :sad1: It was soo funny! I can still hear the Mad Hatter yelling "Grow Up??" in that voice he uses. It was crazy! :lmao:

The man should've probably held his tongue, but we did take up a lot of time. How could you break something like this up though? The CM with them was laughing right along with us. It was awesome!

I love reading about the Halloween party! It looks like so much fun. Was there a long line to meet Alice and the Mad Hatter? I don't think the dwarfs would be worth the wait for us. Sounds like some fun stuff with Alice. I can see how the people in behind you would be annoyed, but it really is awfully cute.

Were the boys hot in their costumes at all? I've been thinking about what my boys should wear and I had thought they would be most comfortable in costumes made of shorts and t-shirts. Is it cooler in October than I thought?

What a cute story!!! I'd like to think that if I had been in the line I would have been thoroughly entertained, not annoyed at all!
