Decorating your resort room?

Here's our windows!
We had 4 rooms at Pop Century all decorated for my DD's birthday. I put everything on the inside of our windows. I picked up suction cups at our local dollar store along with the birthday decorations for inside our room & our door.
My brother was not able to leave his lights plugged in at night because the curtain didn't close all the way, but the rest of us plugged them in & left them on until we left.

Sorry the pictures have a glare. Don't forget the extension cords if you're using lights!

I love the pictures of everyones windows!! :) We are palnning a trip in Aug '08and I can't wait to decorate our window and room.:woohoo:

I have found a couple of "plain" Cars clings (and hopefully after the holidays they will have regular (non Christmas)) ones at the Dollar Tree. I have also found "wall clings" in Cars, and Princesses there as well. I figure the kids could decorate inside as well.

I have also gone to Home Depot and picked up the Disney "paint chips" shaped like Mickey heads.

Hopefully someone can tell me if magnets will attach to the doors. I have cut up those cheapo magnets that come from pizza and flower places they send you in the mail, and was going to glue them to the Mickey heads to attach to the doors. Will that work?

The doors are metal at resorts- fire code reasons - so magnets stick!!!!! The "cheapo" magnets will work - sometimes they aren't as strong as other magnets so test them out on the refrig. once you have glued on your artwork. You can also buy rolls of stick on magnets from craft stores (i.e. Michaels).

Have fun planning your decorations!!!!

We are staying at CSR Dec 9-15 and we are ready to decorate our window :cool1: . I got the Christmas princess window clings and Pooh at DollarTree today and my lights for the inside window. Now this may be a dumb question but the clings have to be put on the outside window, will they be ok? I mean I sure nobody would stoop low enough to steal.:scared: I also made my trip to Depot and got my green & red (for Christmas) mickey heads along with the lime green.:santa:

I've used them at ASSp and PC with no problems, but I'm sad to say that we just returned from CSR and someone stole Pooh and friends. :sad2: It was on the very bottom of the window, so I figure it was a little kid who took it without the parent's seeing. I wouldn't worry though, I'm sure it doesn't happen very often.

Just wondering if anyone can tell me the dimensions of the windows for me at the all stars??? I am in full planning what to decorate mode- esp since after Christmas I can get nice cheap decorations!

Anyone decorated at the Poly? We'll be there in May for birthdays, graduation and an anniversary!! We've also got four first-timers!

Hi All!

We are back and had a great time last week! Weather was in the 80's. :cool1: We stayed at CSR and here is our window. We had a great location with corner room with 2 windows. I think I was only one who decorated but we enjoyed it!

DH and I brought the window clings from the cars at our wedding that said 'Just Married' and plastered them all over our POFQ windows. I thought it looked pretty cute! :)

My husband has been secretly cruising the dis and he found this thread. He have me stacks of red, black and lime green MM heads from HD for xmas. He said he read about decorating rooms with them on here. I've read several pages and have seen the window idea, but since there are 53 pages, I'm thinking there must be more ideas than that. Can someone summarize or point me towards a few posts to look at? With the trip coming up and decorations coming down, I'll never get through all those posts!

We are going to have a GV and one bedroom at SSR in 29 days! 13 people...

I'm thinking they'll be great to hang on door and leave each other messages, but any other ideas?

I need ideas for cruise ship cabin door's. DD19 is going with her aunt and children on Feb.1 Anyone have pictures?

I have already started collecting decorating supplies. We will be there to celebrate DD's b-day. Her friend is going to stay with us on the trip, but is arriving later then us. When DD goes to meet her friend, I am going to hang banners, lights, and ofcourse LGHMHs....I can not wait to see her face when she gets back.

I'm going next month and will use the Valentine theme . I have red lights, extension cord( from last trip)also red stars I found at the Dollar Tree in the Teacher section . Now I am waiting for the Valentine clings to come out and I'll get some red MH at HD. We had fun with 2 windows last time 1 was Tink the other Mickey. This time I'm solo, but next time the family goes I know 1 will have to be POTC!!

We were at ASMu 12/20-12/26. Here are my pics of our decorated room:

DS and I were at Michael's yesterday, and they had their new $1.00 items out, including gel cling letters! So...if you want to spell something out, you can! (Start saving those 40% off coupons! :thumbsup2 )

Happy planning everyone!!
