Decorating your resort room?

We leave the 30th and I am realizing I better get with the program on my decorations!:santa: I need to find a Dollar Tree for the princess clingsprincess:

Ive been to the dollar tree twice near my house and they still dont have any Disney window clings! Im going to try a difernt one this week. Im running out of time we leave in 20 days!:santa:

Does anyone have any suggestions for decorating a room for a honeymoon?? DF and I are 19 and 21 years old and will be at WDW for the FIRST TIME and this will also be our honeymoon. We are staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge. I am looking more for ideas just for our door and maybe a few for our room. Something that lets everyone who walks by know we are newlyweds!!! Thanks!!

I'd ask someone on the DISigns board for a creation, then print it on magnetic paper for your door.

Yep, or browse through their threads. Some of the DIsigners have really nice couple/wedding themed designs already posted. They are very friendly and will customize them with your name/date/etc. :)

We will be at VWL 11/27-12/1 and will be doing some decorating too. We are getting window clings, but I am also getting some things for the door. I am so excited...this is our first Xmas time trip and it is also DS2 and my birthday trip..(I am 12/4 and he is 12/10, but work wouldn't cooperate with those dates).

Newbie here. I just spent two hours reading this thread. Finally had to browse through the last 35 pages or I'd never get to bed.

I decorated out window at Pop last year, just lights though. I used the "Command" adhesive hooks. They are just like the regular plastic hooks that stick to the wall or window except that after you're finished with them, they peel off clean-as-you-please. Next time you use them, you use a new sticky back. I love, love, love these things. I'll be getting a new pack this week for my Jan 5 - 10 trip. I'll try to post a picture of them.

I tried the suction cup hooks but the very cold air at night made them pop off a lot. I got frustrated.

Here's the command strips. They have several different kinds. I use these on trips to hang lights and also the larger ones to use as extra hooks in a hotel bathroom. I always take them down before we leave. You can buy more of the adhesive strips that go with them and reuse the hooks over and over. I love these things. They've never damaged anything I've put them on.

Very cool...I will have to pick some of those up for our trip and some for the house. We had vinyl windows put in our front room and those would be perfect for putting the lights in them this year. :)

We hit 2 of the dollar trees this afternoon and came home with a bunch of window clings.

I bought a Minnie and a Tigger stocking while we there in Oct and left them in our Owner's Locker. We are going to stuff them for the kids on this trip. We found Disney coloring books (Xmas theme, villians, My friend pooh with Darby, and MIckey Mouse Clubhouse), figurines (they had princesses, pooh, and all the villians), disney kaleidoscopes (my kids love those silly things), pens...they had a ton of Disney stuff. We also bought a bunch of the red and green glow necklaces. I figured the kids could use one of each color for MVMCP, and we could share the rest! :goodvibes

I almost slipped a couple of times today and let the cat out of the bag. The kids don't know we are going.

I also found "Chalk Paint" in the automotive section at WalMart. $2.69 each I think. Only four colors though, red white yellow blue. I tried it and it washes off with just water like a champ! Really easy!

Here are some of the decorations that I will be using in our room for Christmas. I couldn't get any good pics of the Disney window clings.

I got the Christmas princess window clings and Pooh at DollarTree today and my lights for the inside window. Now this may be a dumb question but the clings have to be put on the outside window, will they be ok? I mean I sure nobody would stoop low enough to steal.:scared:

They should be just fine on the outside. I put window clings on the outside of my window at POP (week before last). I put them up on the 1st day of my trip and they were all still there the day I left. I was worried, but no one even touched them!

Which isle are the window clings located in? I went to the Dollar Tree and did not find any window clings
