Decorating your resort room?

Ok, I love this idea of decorating the window while at the resorts. I presented the idea to my DH a couple of weeks ago and he kind of frowned at me and so I didn't mention it again. When I got home yesterday there was a pile of Disney items on the table that we collected last time we were there. I asked what they were for and he said the window at the resort, the he preceeded to get out some colored christmas lights. So I guess we are decorating the window. Then it hit me, I'm sure others have thought of this, in my daughters room we have wall clings of tinkerbell. So I went in search online and found these really cute wall clings of Mickey Mouse and the gang. These are not the small ones either, these are 9" tall and 6" wide and you get 4 sheets for $12.95. You can find these at berlinewallpaper.com. I also like the Mickey heads that you can get at Home Depot. Unfortunately we don't have a one where we live. I am considering making a road trip to one before August.

We are staying at the POP so stop by and see us if you see the wall clings.

I may make some enimies here, but I have to speak my mind on this topic. I stumbled across this thread thinking it would be cute to decorate our room and I am shocked. Maybe I am missed something, I have not read all 82 pages but I don't get it. For people who read these boards it is a sin to pool hop, but it is ok to take 240 paint samples, fill your pockets with them, or have your kids take them for you. Sure, maybe they cost practically nothing to make, but if every diser took 240, it adds up. Am I the only one who thinks this is wrong?

Guilty asd charged !! But I have never taken 240 as they never have that many out! But you are right, it is not exactly honest but they are free so I don't think it is stealing !Not sure what I think it is Sneaky maybe !!

Has anyone decorated their windows for New Year's? Have a couple ideas, but still don't know. If you have, can you please post some pictures.

I really don't think we're stealing. They're free, but on top of that... Think about it... They're always getting new ones, we don't throw them away after we decide "It wasn't the right color after all", we actually use them. I think they're useful. I think we all exaggerate the numbers sometimes. We like to seem like we're saving them

If you go back through this thread you will actually see some pics and ideas for decorating. I have taken a few LGMH (10 and you can see what I did on something I did) but now I have a cricuit and dont need to. Just getting the right shade of paper is the new difficulty, but I guess I am not as obsessed as others.

They are clings. I got the cling film at Michael's and cut the large Mickeys using a cookie cutter and the smaller ones from a home depot mickey head.

I went to Michaels today and they said they did not have them!! Can you remember where in the store they are.......maybe I didnt explain to them well enough for them to understand what I was looking for. AC Moore said the same thing - they dont carry it!!

I love all the ideas!! I am going to decorate our door--- not the balcony since it rains almost daily. But I am decorating for ME, my b day which I am celebrating with ds while we are there--- bought stuff to make a birthday t shirt today.... door next project... anything to kill time!!! 23 days and counting!

I have been feeling the same way! Maybe it is something in the MI air! LOL

I am actually thinking of doing the same thing, and the kids bedroom doors, lol.

It might take my mind of how junky I have been feeling AND brighten up the house!

That's actually a really good idea. Why not do a pre-trip house decorating just to keep the excitement going. Surprise the kids or better yet, let them do it.

I just got some too from Michael's. I'm going to be cutting them out using cookie cutters and punches to stick on the window. Not sure if they'll go through the printer because of the static.
