DECEMBER 6, 2009 Winter WONDERland sailing!!!

I really like the name graphic! I want one!

Smiles,

Holly

thank ya...go over to the DIS creation board and see what they have...alot of them have a link into their photobucket accts that have a list of a ton of names so you can just copy it and make your own...if you find a design you like but not your name you can always request it from the artist and they are really good about doing it quick

I think for my door decor I might gather up all my Christmas-time Chip 'n' Dale stuff, photograph it, then make a photo collage door sign with my name on it to hopefully dissuade thieves. Hey - The little pink-marbled Mickey head that had been on my car antenna for EIGHT years was stolen in the Epcot parking lot just over a week ago. I have others, but that one was the easiest for me to spot in the lot, day or night. This plus having had several of my door magnets stolen in the past makes me hesitant to spend much time gettng elaborately creative with door decor. :sad2:

I am DEFINITELY going to decorate my door. BUT... I'm going to make sure it's stuff with my name or DIS user name so it has less of a chance of getting stolen.

Hey everyone.

Haven't been on the board for awhile, but I've been busy reading my copy of Birnbaum 2009 Disney Cruise Line guide. Have any of you ever invested in the Passporter about the DCL? I'm thinking about purchasing one as this is our first Disney cruise and I want all the info I can get.

Thanks.

I bought The PassPorter before my first cruise. I found it FUN to peruse and it surely was pretty all in it's nice binder... But I also found out pretty much everything I wanted to know on the DIS and asking my friend Shari about things. I don't regret buying it - but in the end it wasn't necessary.

Thanks for the info.

I am such a Disney geek that I want to be sure I know EVERYTHING before we go on our cruise.

We've been to WDW 20 times so I'm comfortable with that, but not the cruise.

I can hardly wait!!!

:yay:

BTW ThePhantomsGirl, I noticed you are a psychic. That's neat.

Sylvia Browne is one of my favorites. Do you do readings?

Glad to see you back on the thread! Yes - I've had 3 of them in the past. In my case I didn't need them because I was already a CDK Disney and Disney Cruise Line Specialist, but for newbies, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT! There is A LOT of detailed info in there. BTW - The "nice binder" is only with the deluxe leather edition. :)

My only caveat is that you wait awhile or find out if they will produce a 2009 edition. They DO post downloadable updates on their site, but to me that's a bit of a pain. If you buy one now, keep in mind that info can become rapidly outdated. Still, as a guide for those new to DCL, it can't be beat! However, it's a bit big and heavy to carry on the cruise, but with the deluxe edition you can remove and carry whatever pages you like.

Do you do readings?

I do - but don't advertise on here or put a link as I don't break the DIS rules. If anyone wants to see my website or blog - PM me for the URL.

Back on topic: It's nice to see you on here again Ms.Goofy! I know our numbers will really increase once this year's MF cruise is over as people will look to book for next years (ours).

I too, wanted to know EVERYTHING before I went on my first cruise. Of course once I got there, I went with the flow and didn't do all that I had planned or said I was definitely going to do. I had said I was going to get a pass to the Rainforest Spa, but just ended up being too busy. I'd never have gotten full use of it. I still would love to use it at least one day, but I bet I'll be darned busy again.

Things I did do that were not planned - and that stuck out in my memory: I LOVED when we sat on Deck 4 during the At Sea day. It really was relaxing and I still remember the feeling I had - total contentment and happiness. Spending time in Sessions (forget the name of the Wonder's version of that club/bar)

And yeah, we sat IN one of the portholes!

Smiles,

Holly

But Holly, at least our MICE got plenty of spa experience!

Yes, Sessions, on the Wonder it is Cadillac Lounge. The only problem for us NON-smokers is the smoke. Unless things have changed, I think you'll find it worse in Cadillac Lounge, unfortunately. It's never had a decent ventilation system.

what is the deal with deck 4???

I had only wanted to make it clear that we were on the Magic when watching Captain Tom jogging around. Nice view! :)

The two ships are the same except for decor and a few minor differences. That "lounging" deck is DECK FOUR - remember that - DECK FOUR. LOL. Those loungers may not look like much, but the cushions are HEAVENLY and it's the quietest deck you'll find unless they are having an "event" - uh-oh - I suppose during MouseFest there could be a few of those. ;)

As I said, I found sitting on Deck 4 on a At Sea day to be one of the best memories. Fantastic views (besides Captain Tom jogging in shorts), a nice breeze and mostly QUIET. Saw a few other cruise ships in the distance and lots of beautiful ocean.

Smiles,
Holly

Ah-ha! YOU mentioned the SHORTS, I didn't! You DID notice! :rotfl2:

Just kidding! Captain Tom has always been my favorite because he was on my very first DCL cruise (on the Wonder) and I was impressed. He is not likely to be our captain this time though, but they are ALL good. :)

But of COURSE! :rolleyes1

Psssst...Shari....should we tell them about Secret Deck 7? ;)

Smiles,

Holly
Ha-ha - If they read any of the rest of the DCL part of the DIS, they probably already lknow about it. No? I don't think it's much of a secret anymore. :rolleyes1
