**December 2012 Roll Call** Holidays, FLE Opening & MVMCP!! A very, merry thread!

What are your thoughts on PhotoPass+? I wasn't going to do it but now I am reading that thread on TPAS since I need something else to obsess over. I really want the CD of 400 stock photos!!! We arent doing any restaurants with the pictures. The ride photos would be nice to have. We didnt do any PP last year and I bought the Test Track picture because I realized it was the only picture of all 3 of us in it. But if I pre-purchase it, I would be on the lookout for PP. And we do plan on meeting a few characters especially during MVMCP. I will just keep going and talk myself into it.

I ordered it because IMO it's a really good deal. The ride photos alone are worth the price plus that CD (which I wanted anyway) and I always end up ordering photos from PP. Now I can get a CD of all my photos and print them myself. To me, it's a bargain. But I am also doing the meals with the photo packages too so it worked out to be really good for me.

I'm a scrapbooker so photos are my souvenir and I always do PP. we're not doing Plus though because we're not eating at any of those restaurants. And I've never seen a ride photo yet that was worth it.

I especially love PP for getting family photos with me in them. Having said that, PP photographers will always take photos with your camera if you ask them to. Often they'll offer before you can even ask. The other advantages of PP are the cute Disney borders and Magic Shots.

The last time i was on the site, they had stock photos for sale. I think there was a set for each park that you could add to your CD. You might try pricing that out. I have a ton of stock photos, some from Wild Africa Trek, and others that were added to our CDs for free. Not sure they'll be adding those anymore. But honestly, I've never used them for anything. They're great pics but none of us are in them.

Biergarten is available and supposed to be fun with the band, if you like German food. Cape May is available too, if you want characters and like seafood. There's actually quite a bit still available. I thought maybe 8 people would be hard to book, but no. Why did I get up at 6 am on my ADR day?? Oh yeah, Le Cellier and Ohana.

I'm most likely going to need to cancel my Le Cellier... Boo! But the added company is a much better payoff!

We love Biergarten! If you're looking for a fun restaurant - and like german food - it's great. Actually, even without loving german food, I'd go for the soup and pretzel rolls! And the kids get to go down in the middle where the band plays and dance, and hear a Christmas story.

Oooo Can I go dance and listen to the story too? Best thing about having a kids - I can usually do the fun stuff too!

We love Biergarten, we have done it almost every trip. The band is great and it is a fun atmosphere. I can make a meal out of the salads alone! You can look on the Steve Soares website for what times the band comes on if you are making your ADR according to the band's sets.

Seeing a lot of Biergarten! Now to see if my mom would go. She can be weird about some places... She doesn't seem to get that Disney restaurants basicallly accomodate all tastes and there is always something for everyone... She thought Kouzzina was too ethnic Choices Choices!!

Decisions, decisions. I do like the ride photos. I dont even know the price difference between the two. I think I just want PP+ because it is the new and shiny one.

So excited to be a part of this thread. My DH (42) and DD (12) and myself (39) will be travelling from Saskatchewan Canada to WDW for the first time ever Dec 12-22nd. It'll take us all day flying just to get there but will so be worth it! I've doing research like crazy on the DIS boards and TouringPlans and other sites just to be prepared. Has anyone used the photopass? Did you like it?? Is it worth the money?
Will be staying at Pop and can't wait to get there...can't wait to see you all there!

Even though we don't usually use Photopass at DLR, we're getting it. We're doing 2 character meals and want the pictures, plus we usually get a few ride pictures per trip. The photopass photographer regular pictures will be a bonus for us, plus it helps a lot that we're splitting the cost with another family, so its totally worth the $85. Is there anyone you could share the cost with? We're going to upload everything and share, or we might see if we can copy the CD and send it to the other person, but we'll definitely make one e-mail account so we can both log in.

As for BOG, I really kind of want to go but don't want to compete with everybody for reservations on the night of 12/3 ... I'm thinking we might see how the lines are for lunch.

I love that Disney is starting to do upscale counter service. Flo's V8 Cafe in DLR sounds very similar to BOG lunch, in that its real plates and silverware and delicious food served counter style. And the food was familiar but with sauces that were extra-special, so something that appealed to both kids and adults. Sounds like BOG will be very similar, familiar ingredients with some flair which sounds just perfect. We loved Flo's so much we ate there twice in our three day trip this summer ...

I think a few of you have talked me into getting the Photopass Plus! We're dining at Akershus so those photos will be on there, right? And don't we automatically get a printed photo at the princess breakfast? What rides are included in the PPplus? How do they know we have a PPplus when we're at the rides? I don't think you'll get any judgement here.

Question though: do you really think they MEAN noon? Is anyone else planning on calling at 7 am FL time? I'm pretty specific as to what time I need. Tuesday (party day) Dec 11 at 4pm. I want the early ressie so I don't have any problems getting in line for special photo ops.
