I assume you're referring to the part about the phones opening at 7. Which is just sensible for logistical reasons. (unless they plan to stop answering the phones after 11.)

But I just saw the panic post about how this is major Disney news and if you don't call right now you'll never get in. While I don't disagree with making ADRs early, I do disagree that this is major news outside of a few tiny Disney forum communities. FLE is not even on the main Disney website! Instead you get advertisements for FD and Art of Animation. That's what Disney is pushing now. I suspect they won't start pushing FLE until after its open.

So excited to be a part of this thread. My DH (42) and DD (12) and myself (39) will be travelling from Saskatchewan Canada to WDW for the first time ever Dec 12-22nd. It'll take us all day flying just to get there but will so be worth it! I've doing research like crazy on the DIS boards and TouringPlans and other sites just to be prepared. Has anyone used the photopass? Did you like it?? Is it worth the money?
Will be staying at Pop and can't wait to get there...can't wait to see you all there! :woohoo:

Welcome! Check back a page or two on this thread. We were just talking about PP. I use PP ( not PP+) every trip. If you're going to see a lot of characters, it's definitely worth it. Even if you're not, there are photographers at all sorts of scenic spots throughout the park. I make the time to stop at all of them. And my family is used to it by now. ;) we get a lot of family photos but also different family groupings too. You can buy photos individually without getting the CD. But it doesn't take many too make it worth the cost. On a long trip I can end up with hundreds of photos.

Word of warning, they're not all stellar shots. Some of the photographers are very good. Others are just a CM with a camera. Also, the PP photographers will happily take photos with your camera. So you can avoid the cost that way too. Still, it's worth it for things like night photos (I'm not dragging a tripod and external flash around the park.) and Magic Shots. My son is obsessed with Magic Shots; we have nearly all of them now.

Anyway, I'm a scrapbookers so PP is my souvenir and my family indulges me. :)

oh geez, i should have been paying attention! thanks for the added info, we won't be doing character dinners, but the magic shots and night photos would be great! i think that in itself would be worth the value (plus the fact all three of us would be in shots for a change!).

:lmao: I don't think you'll get any judgement here. :rotfl2:

Question though: do you really think they MEAN noon? Is anyone else planning on calling at 7 am FL time? I'm pretty specific as to what time I need. Tuesday (party day) Dec 11 at 4pm. I want the early ressie so I don't have any problems getting in line for special photo ops.

This is the same day I am going to the party! :santa:My dilemma is that I have CRT at 5:30 for dinner with BBB at 4. I want to change to BOG and move CRT to another day but I haven't had luck finding CRT on a day I have available at a good time for us :worried: I called the concierge lady today so they can make the BOG ADR and she thought it would be better to keep CRT since it's hard to get and do BOG on Sunday (9th) or Monday (10th). What do you guys think? I'm so confused :confused3

I bet we'll see lots of ADR roulette in the next week. But I do think it will probably be easier to find a CRT than a BOG once Monday is over.

This is what I hope for so I can add two people to my CRT and 'Ohana ADRs!

Mondays are supposed to be bad days for MK but if you can get an ADR for BOG I say go for it. Can you not get CRT on monday or sunday? I wouldn't want to be eating at CRT at 5:30 on a party night only because you will be in there at least an hour......which means you won't get out until 6:30 at the earliest. That may make getting some of the hard to find character's autographs/pictures difficult since it seems people line up for those pretty early. :(

I've looked for CRT on Sunday and Monday and there is availability but funky times. When I made the original CRT ADR I thought that would be a good time but now I'm thinking not so much. We're not really going to do much autograph/picture stuff just because my DD, who will have just turned 4, isn't too good at waiting in lines. From what I've read activities start at 7 or is that just whats on the website and stuff really starts before? I'm gonna keep checking for CRT ADRs pixiedust:

I've also been trying to move my Cali Grill to an early time but haven't had success...I thought the beginning of December was supposed to be a little slower?

I do think the whole noon thing is odd - although a poster said a CM told them it will be ready .... although we all know, if you didn't hear it from a bus driver, it ain't true :p

Small confession .... I check online for BOG at 6am every morning and call at 7am before I do the school run. Just to check, you know, not because I'm psychotic about this whole BOG thing

So, what are everyones plans regarding this?

Is everyone who wants ADRs able to call on Monday?

This is a great thread! So happy I found it.:goodvibes I'm arriving on December 13th, staying at the Boardwalk Villas until the 16th, then switching over to the Villas at Wilderness Lodge until the 22nd, possibly the 23rd. So excited!!! I've been during December several times before, but this is a special trip for me, as I'm celebrating the end of my year of breast cancer treatment. What better way to celebrate than a trip to Disney! Have MVMCP planned for Tuesday, December 18th, and the CP for Thursday, December 20th, when Trace Adkins is the narrarator! Yippee!!!

PS What is the Facebook group, and how do I join?

Congrats on finishing your treatments, what a grand way to celebrate!! Extra pixie dust wishes for you during this trip!

But I think I am the only one here that is not doing flips to eat at Be Our Guest. Don't get me wrong. I would love to see the interior as much as the next person. But the lunch and dinner menus really don't appeal to me.

You all can look at the bright side, barring the others in my group wanting to dine at BOG, you have 1 less person to compete with on Monday.

In right there with you. I have no desire to eat here but I do want to go in during lunch to get some pics and check it out.

I can't wait for BOG to open.... This way the places I want to see are slower!

it is slower but these are some of the hardest-to-get ressies no matter what the crowd level. I think your odds of finding a CRT ressie at a decent hour are slim, definitely before Mon but probably after too. If CRT is important to you for this trip, I would stick with what you have and plan BOG accordingly.

I already told m family, plans are flexible but there are some ADRs that can only be cancelled not moved (Le Cellier, Cali Grill during Wishes, R&C during Illuminations). We've never booked 180 days out before so these are all new experiences for us anyway.

I always hear great things about dining at the Garden Grill, if you want a fun character meal with good food. Akershus is great too, but might be a hard ADR to get now. I love the SAI, so if you don't change your ADR, don't feel bad abot that. They have great food.

So, I start showing my husband the dining options for that Friday. I know he is semi interested because it involves food. Hehe Guess where he wants to go... Akershus! I show him the price - he goes - "It looks really cool, lets go..." I am starting to wonder if my husband has a thing for the castle themes or the princess theme! Hahaha So ADR searching I go and 5:05 pm - PERFECT! :yay:

On a side note... My husbands car is dying - so I need to go car shopping today. :sad2: It was my first brand new car - and it makes me sad... However it has well over 200K on it and I am not paying to replace the transmission... So sad! Ugh but now what cars to look at... I kind of like Subaru's..... Hopefully we can find a good deal... Not what I wanted financially but what can I do?

:coffee:

I think the food looks great and we're big fans as well. But I just have a hard time justifying TS time in MK. Too much else to see and do. If it were just us, I might do it. But it's my in-laws first time so seeing everything and getting good spots for ELP is a must. And I don't want to be rushed. If the lines aren't obscene we might try lunch.

Pitchforks? Ooo that would be great for the whole "themeing" of Beauty & the Beast!! :rolleyes1 Beauty & the Beast is definitely one of the best princess movies in my opinion. I have loved it since I was a kid! :goodvibes My whole thing is tons of people - makes me a little anxious . BOG is a must do for our next trip when its not in the grand opening phase....
