**December 2012 Roll Call** Holidays, FLE Opening & MVMCP!! A very, merry thread!

Ok. I was reading more into this and I came up with some questions again. :rotfl:

Last year the CPDP went on sale on July 26th. The 180 day mark to make ADR's for must of us (if not all of us) is in June. Hypothetically, if the CPDP doesn't go on sale until July again; If I were to make a lunch ADR for Le Cellier at my 180 day mark in June, would I be able to tie that ADR to the CPDP? Or am I required to make a new ADR?

From my understanding, you cannot convert an ADR to a CPDP. You can book an ADR as a backup plan, then when CPDP are announced call and see if a package is still available for your resturant of choice. If it is, book it and cancel the ADR. But again, I do not think they convert it nor is there any assurances that if you have an ADR you are assured a CPDP at the same time.

I tried a quick search to back this up but I could only find a 2010 discussion from DIS about it. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2480595 Maybe things have changed, but that discussion jives with my understanding.

ETA: mom2rtk beat me to the answer. And I'm reading her trip report so I know that's good info ;)

Glad you're reading along!

I was back and forth a lot last year about whether to do the CPDP so I watched all those threads really closely. On our 2010 trip we finally scored a LeCellier ADR when they released all the CPDPs. So it's helpful to watch the boards for the announcement whether you want a package or just an ADR you couldn't get earlier.

Something to keep in mind is that because they have to hold back the spots for the packages, getting those Epcot ADR's that time of year is even harder early on.

Does anyone know when pop warmer is this year I am thinking of switch from last week november to 2nd week of december. According to last year calendar more schedule shows and longer park hours, has anyone done the sleigh ride carriages at fort wilderness lodge seems so awesome deff. have to book that:santa:

We are coming in on December 15th and will be at Art of Animation through the 21st in the Lion King Suites. So excited!! Second December in a row to take a Disney trip. By far my favorite time of year in WDW!!

Made us a luggage tag tonight! I will make them two sided and laminate them so they are rigid! I crossed out part of our address and phone number so it wasn't all over the web.

Ok, 2 questions:

1) What's the story behind the Purple Cat in HS?

2) I read somewhere on DIS that when I meet Flynn, I should ask him what's in his satchel, but the person didn't say why. Anybody have a clue? :confused3

Thanks!

So is anyone else starting to plan their ADR's? Or am i the only one? DW, DSis and I had a meeting yesterday as to where and when. I hope I can them all for us.

I am definitely starting to think where we want to eat. Here is where I am at so far for ADRs.

Tusker House-lunch
Cape May -dinner
Liberty Tavern-lunch (or possibly Be Our Guest)
Kouzzina (possibility)
Akershus (dinner)
50's PT or Mama Mel (dinner possibility)

1) The story behind that cat is that when Disney approached Jennings Osbourne (RIP) and his family about bringing the Osbourne Lights to Disney, they packed all their Christmas decorations themselves and had it shipped to Florida. When the decorations arrived, and was being unpacked, the Disney people discovered that the Osbournes had packed 1 of their Halloween decorations mixed with the Christmas decorations. The purple cat. Instead of omitting the cat, they decided to have some fun with it and they keep moving it around year to year.

2) I have no idea.

Thanks for the info on that cat! That's fun! I'll remember to look for it! Anyone have any ideas on the Flynn-satchel-thing?

I'm not sure about Flynn either. When we went this past December we were told the same thing, and my girls were SO excited to ask. But when we waited in line and met Rapunzel, Flynn wasn't with her. So I guess he isn't always there? Something to prepare your kids for if they are hoping to meet both! In any case, we never got to ask.

I've heard it's Rapunzel's crown

Ok, I couldn't wait, so I checked it out....it is Rapunzel's crown. There's also a paintbrush, apparently. He isn't with her all the time, apparently just special events. I hope to see them both at MVMCP - that is, if the line isn't insane. I wouldn't know what to ask them! I just want a picture! Oh, and the smoulder!

Just getting opinions as I plan ADRs...anyone have opinions on Biergarten for dinner? We're trying to eat at all restaurants (both quick-service and table) that we've not eat at before...

We always eat at Biergarten. For my husband, it's a must-do every trip to WDW. For me, I really enjoy it, but would be happy to skip it in favor of trying somewhere different, but he absolutely loves it.

Do you like german food? If so, I think you'll really like it. I think their soup and their pretzel rolls are wonderful. I love the rest too. My kids really like it also - especially that they get to go down to the stage in the middle to dance while the band plays.

Cool!!!! :-D Do you have a pic of the smoulder?

I got a lot of great expressions, but not sure if I got the smoulder. I tried to get one of the girls to ask for one, but at age 11 they were too embarrassed! Ask over on my trip report and I bet Finally08 will post one for you!

In the bottom right corner of the post, there's a Quote icon. Click on that and it will quote the text and take you to the reply screen. Just make sure and put your cursor after the last QUOTE or else you'll land up quoting in the text, or before it. Then once you get really good at it, you'll learn how to edit inside the quote itself. Or edit only the parts you want to quote. Gets real easy after a while. :thumbsup2

Thanks Thumper_Man!! :goodvibes
