I told my DH I wasn't the only one planning ADR's I have been compiling park hours and predictions from the last 2 years and doing rough lists of park days and food for the last 2 months. I think we will be doing the deluxe dining plan but everything hangs on whether free dining is offered and the cost comparison (can you tell I'm OCD and in love with excel )

I will be there December 26th-30th with my mom and sister! I've never been in December, always when it was hot as Hades! I'm most looking forward to the decorations and the rides! As it says in my siggy, we're staying at POR in a riverview room! My mom wants to upgrade it to royal room though, so we may be doing that soon!

I was just talking to DH and he has vacation for the week AFTER I have us booked for WDW. Guess I will be calling tomorrow to change our ressie again. This puts us there the third week of December instead of the second, like we did last year. Little nervous about how much worse the crowds will be, but excited about the extended hours. Glad we talked about it!!

does anyone know when they record the christmas parade i really dont want to be at mk when they are recording, I am looking for more of a less crowded vacation, my past two with our kids has been very crowded being summer and all. I am guessing it would have to be on a weekend? I am thinking of 8-13 doing magic kingdom on the 10 which is a monday

For anyone who has gone before---Is MVMCP worth the $$ for 2 adults?? I would love to see the Christmas parade and the Holiday Wishes. Not big on character meet and greets. Are there extra shows like the Villians show at MNSHP? Decisions, decisions.

Last time we went to Disney, we went as 2 adults. And we did the MVMCP. And we both agreed, it was totally worth it. I liked it for the non existent lines for things like Pirates of the Carribean, Thunder Mtn, and Space Mtn and that fact that no one bumped into anyone else cuz of all the free room. She liked it for the additional characters that are not usually in the reg. rotation and the MVMCP specific merchandise (if you are a pin trader, it's a must). We both loved the fireworks, the parade and the snow(p) on Main St.

Plus the way we did it, since this was a hard ticket event, we were actually able to save a day on our park hopper passes.

So for us, we will definitely be doing it again this Dec.

We always go right before Christmas - this year we will be there 12/15-12/22. On one of our first December trips we thinking about buying last minute tickets, and we were talking to a CM who told us "I wouldn't really waste your time. Tomorrow (I think that was on 12/17 or so) MCMCP ends and the regular park parade and fireworks will be the same as what went on during the party. We were told the same this past year - that at a certain point, they changes the parades and Wishes over to the same that was only used during the party.

Since you don't care about the character interactions, that might influence your decision.

The date has not been officially announced. But historically, the taping of the WDW Christmas parade has happened on the first Friday and Saturday of December.

I thought the same thing at first. We are there Dec 16-21 (my ticker is wrong). Last year the last party was the 18th but this year the last one is the 21st, so we wont see the Christmas parade and fireworks unless we go to the party.

How does one go about getting tickets for this? Will they sell them online, or do I need to call and buy them?
