**December 2012 Roll Call** Holidays, FLE Opening & MVMCP!! A very, merry thread!

As we're talking about the dessert party ....

I asked this question before but I don't think it was answered (if it was, I hold my hands up and admit to not paying attention )

We would like to do the dessert party MVMCP. My question is, we will have time to get from the dessert party down to main street for the second parade?

An awful lot of folks stay in place after Wishes for the parade. Since you'll be in the Main Street vicinity, you can probably assume you'll have trouble finding any curbside spots open.

Thats what I was thinking, even though the second parade is less crowded. I read on easywdw you could turn up at 10.15 on main st and find spots but that seemed a bit hard to believe.

Maybe at the early November parties. But that's highly doubtful in December.

Ok, thank you so much for the info. Everything else is locked in, done deal. I only had the dessert party hanging over me and I wasn't sure if it was a good idea. Our only other opportunity is on Sat 8th but that would mean we would miss the Electrical parade.

Are you doing the Dessert Party the night of MVMCP? I didn't realize they held them then! I want to do the DP the next night (Dec 12). I'm hoping we'll be able to see the MSEP at 7, then still make it to the DP directly afterwards. I'm wondering when these parties will become available to book for December......shoot, November still isn't available to book yet!

My family suggested we go 3 days earlier (so who am I to argue) - We will be arriving Dec. 7th to stay at AofA Lion King then checking into BLT (does that abbrev. make anyone else hungry?) on Monday, Dec. 10th. I have yet another dessert party question: for my first time seeing Wishes, do y'all think I should see it the traditional way (from Main St.), or is it better to see it from the Tomorrowland Terrace?

We'll only be in MK for one day of traditional Wishes fireworks (plus one night with MVMCP fireworks, but I don't think I wanna give up so much time in MVMCP to attend the Wishes party).

I would find a place to see the Electric Light parade, castle show and Wishes and just stay put. It can get really crowded during these and hard to move around. I wouldn't risk missing any of it. Now that we've seen them a few times we usually watch from behind the castle/Liberty Square. But for my in-laws first time we'll be back in front of the castle where we can see Tink fly.

We are watching the parade and holiday wishes for MVMCP from main st and are planning to do the dessert party on our regular MK night. It means not seeing the parade very well, so that is a choice you have to make. I debated for a long time (I know, shocking), but thats our plan for now.
I agree I wouldn't do it on a party night. I want a good spot for that parade!

I'm just going to throw this out there - there is a lot to see and do at MVMCP , and the tickets are a good amount of money - will you really get your money's worth out of either the dessrt party of MVMCP if you do them on the same night? Can you do the dessert party another night?

I felt the need to come post here and say how much fun this thread has been!

I just got off a thread that turned really ugly and nasty for no good reason. I try to avoid flame threads but this wasn't even trolls. And it was personally insulting. Honestly, I just don't understand the point of hanging out on a Disney board if you're not looking for the "magic".

I think I'm going to go watch the Christmas special. These people are killing my Disney groove.

Just posting because I'm in a Disney/Christmas mood...and can't wait! Barely managed to snag a Be Our Guest reservation and just waiting until they open December up for the dessert party reservations.

December bookings won't be available until October apparently!
