DECEMBER 2010....Who's comin??

We'll be at the WL from 11/28-12/5. We can't wait to see all the decorations as I am sure they are breathtaking!

We will be in the cabins at FW!! We will be there until the 7th, so maybe we will see you! We are hoping to get a cart to decorate as well.

Question: How do you get all your camping gear to WDW from Idaho? We love camping, but live in Nor. California. We didn't think it was possible without driving to get our gear over there. But we also have two kids and a service dog, so it would be a LOT of gear!! I great up in WA state so camping is second nature to me. I did hear that there are biting ants in FL though. So be on the look out for that! Eeek!

We should all have a sign to put on our carts or something so we can recognize each other or something. It would be great to meet other Dis'ers while there. This will be our first time at FW, but third time to WDW. So we are really excited.

We went the week after Thanksgiving and rente a golf cart. I brought battery operated lights and some gel stickers and decorated the golf cart and also made a DisBoarder sign and we met alot of people that are also on the boards. If you go to the Disney Ft. Wilderness Campers, they will tell you who will be going during that time frame as well. I love the cabins but this time, we're getting married so we're actually booked at the Boardwalk Villas. We are going to the Hoop Dee Doo on Dec 3rd for the 5:00 show then onto MVMCP... I hope you have a good time. Just a tip, not alot of drawer space, very small.

Could anyone tell me if Trails Ends is any good for breakfast. Im getting mixed reviews from the forums. I hear the price is not bad for the buffet. Really would like to check it out. Also dose any one know whats the best or fastest why using the Disney Buses to get to Fort Wilderness from Pop Century resort?

Yes, that the bus from your resort to the Magic Kingdom, then walk over to the boat ramps right in front of the entrance of Magic Kingdom and take the boat directly to Ft.Wilderness from there.

Yes, that the bus from your resort to the Magic Kingdom, then walk over to the boat ramps right in front of the entrance of Magic Kingdom and take the boat directly to Ft.Wilderness from there.

Hi everyone! We are booked for Dec 17-23 at the Contemporary. We have all our adrs and tickets to mvmcp for the 17. Do people decorate at the resorts also or just the campgrounds? That sounds like fun!

We'll be there December 18 - 23. Right now we have a bounce back reservation we made last year at WL, but we're hoping to get a DVC studio if it's not too late.

We've been Thanksgiving week before, but never the week of Christmas. The decorations are absolutely beautiful. It's going to be hard to go to the Candlelight Processional, Grand Floridian for decorations, and visit Fort Wilderness to get in the Christmas spirit.

The resorts decorate; but I've seen people put strings of lights in their windows; no reason not to. I would suggest using a lime Mickey head (available in the pain section of Home Depot) to tell others you are a DisBoarder!

We're thinking about a trip down 12/27-1/1. Are the parks/resorts still decorated? I'm assuming they stay decorated until after the 1st, but I just wanted to be sure. We've never gone in December, so I don't have a clue about planning for that time of the year. My DH may not be able to go, so it would be just me and my two DDs. I'm nervous about not going with him, but it's been a dream of mine to take the girls to Disney at Christmas time before they outgrow it.

Sounds like a good idea. I have window candles I planned on bringing and maybe a wreath for the door. I will have to get some lime green mickeys to show my support!

They stay decorated until the 5-6 of Jan. We went down to first week of January and they were still all decked out for Christmas. It was great! Although I think they had gone back to the regular shows, not holiday themed ones by then. It is a great time to go because there is hardly any crowd.

Guests do not tend to decorate at the deluxe resorts (windows or doors). we never saw any in 6 Dec visits, but guests do often have some decorations in their rooms and some even have a small Tree!

At the values you'll see lots of decorations by guests - it is very festive! We've seen some at mods too, but not as much as the values.

On December trips we've stayed at the Poly, FQ and POP - POP had the most festive and creative guests!
