December 2009 Code Watch

We went last year from Dec 5 to 14 and stayed at POFQ. We did not find that the parks or POFQ were crowded. Although, we took a walk over to POR and it was jammed!

We were not able to get a discount last year, so this year, we are waiting to book for this December when discounts become available.

Count us in. We are taking our daughter for her 4th birthday and she is already talking about going to see the "real" Cinderella castle.

I'm in!! We are going December 5-12th...although I am a little worried about that after hearing about the Pop Warner thing and the lack of discounts during that week. Has it been super crowded during Pop Warner outside of the value hotels? Also, has anyone had a problem getting some kind of discount during that week in past years?? We are crossing our fingers.....

We went for POP week in 2008. Last year's pin code included that week (this year it does not). We got 20% off, but no other general public discounts appeared for that week if memory serves (or at least not at my hotel).

The kids stay at the All Stars and POR. We saw some in the parks at night, but usually smaller groups, and with chaperones. As the week went on and more and more of the teams were eliminated, you saw more groups in the parks. They really weren't too bad. Just don't go on the Haunted Mansion with a group of cheerleaders It turned into a big scream fest and got annoying REAL QUICK!!! It is pretty easy to avoid them otherwise (which we did for the rest of the trip after the HM disaster)

GOOFY4DONALD, since you have so long until your trip you have plenty of time for a code or offer. Just keep a watch on here and I will keep my fingers crossed that you get a good one!


With the economy I have a feeling prices will fall and I might even get a better deal.

Yes, but only for Disney Visa cardholders. It was not available for the general public, and some dates in Dec. were blacked out. We used this promotion for our Christmas trip to Wilderness Lodge and saved a bundle!

I did get a code last Dec for free dining. I do not have a Disney Visa so maybe mine was an accident. There were some black out dates but I did not look too closely since we weren't going anyway.

My DH and I will be there from December 10-13 after our 4 night cruise on the Wonder.

This will be our first Disney cruise but our 21st time to WDW.

Can't wait!!!!

AmandaJayne, I cannot promise you great weather but I can promise you great people. Just look for the lime green and follow your heart!

BTW, bring a jacket and possibly a couple of sweatshirts and all should be well.

Late season free dining issued in September, first with targeted PIN codes, and then to Disney VISA card holders. There were weeks in October, November and December, I can't recall them all, but POP Warner week was NOT a valid week. (Dec 7 to 13), but the following week was (Dec 14 to 20)

I have just booked CBR from Dec 12 thru Dec 18. Used 40% e-mail code through TA. I'm sooooo excited cause we were there in March for our Grandson's first ever trip (our treat) and EVERYONE but me, got sick and was confined to our room! I was just wondering, and I don't mean to be... well, you know, I want it all, but when we booked last year we got a general discount. Since we booked so early, is it possible to get that too??
