Looking for dicount code. Will be staying again in WDW December 2008, either 1st or 2nd weekend depending on when I can get time off from work.

I have been reading so many different things. We were planing on going Dec 6-13th but changed because of Pop Werner. I have no ressies yet.. I was going to hold off till I know I can wait anymore..

We are going Dec 6th-13th and staying at POFQ. What is Pop Werner?? Also I think I need to call about that 40% off code. One can only hope!

subscribing..

Call yesterday and discovered I had the 20% off room code so decided to go ahead and book. Glad I did, we had to do quite a bit of playing around before getting what I wanted. Will be there Dec 7-15, first 3 nights at AKL then 5 at Poly. Glad to hear the pop warner gang will be staying elsewhere.

PopWarner is a national championship for kids sports. I've never stayed during PW week but will be this Dec. Will be at PopCentury so I don't know how busy and loud it will be since alot of the PW families stay at the value resorts. I don't think the parks are all that crowded because they are at the sporting events mostly during the day.

Christmas Week through New Years is one of the busiest times at WDW. The first two weeks of December are traditionally known as slow times of the year but are becoming more and more popular.

We have been the 2nd week of Dec for the past 3 years, and while it is less busy than the rest of Dec. it seemed busier than usual this year. I've talked with several people who felt the same way. I think Disney has promoted it as being "less busy" so much that more people are starting to go the 1st 2 weeks. Smart marketing ploy on Disney's part, don't you think? But, if you want to go during Dec to see the decorations (which I highly recommend) the first 2 weeks will always be the best, I'm sure.

Yes, I agree, very smart of Disney. I don't think there are really any truely "slow" times of year anymore. They seem to be keeping park attendance pretty steady throughout the year nowadays.

more crowded than we thought, but as always, we had a magical time.

We are looking to go probably the first week in December. I made my first trip to WDW 9/2007 and cant wait to get back. Does anyone know if there are any discount codes available? Thanks.:yay:

I requested the DVD two weeks ago from the website. I haven't gotten that yet, but today I got an email with a 30% off pin code! I convinced DF to book a moderate. and we will do it tomorrow!

So excited!! First time in the World! It will also be our Disneymoon.

OOOOH! Congrats on the code! Can I ask who did it come from? And did you upgrade to the moderate or already have a ressie?
I am thinking I won't ever get a code with an existing ressie.
TIA

Other than some very fortunate people who've been getting codes in the mail, I believe it was in August last year when they put out discount codes for Dec. If you have AAA, you can get 20% off now. With a Disney Visa, you'll get first notice of any Dec. discounts before they're made public.

Yeah, I made my ressie for Dec. back in Jan. and I'm thinking I won't be getting any postcard discount codes in the mail. I did get 20% off with AAA, though, and will be waiting and hoping for Disney Visa to send out a good code later in the year.

There is a thread for special things to do for Anniversaries that you'll want to check out but for starters take a carriage ride at either POR or WL, rent a SeaRaycer at either POR or one of the resorts around Seven Seas Lagoon, or reserve a Wishes Celebration Cruise. Congrats! What a great place for a honeymoon!!

It came straight from Disney - the subject was Dana Family, Your Disney Dream is Here! We were going to make a ressie this week anyway, because I saw others on this thread get codes and I didn't think one was headed my way. We haven't made one so far but we will tomorrow, and just book a moderate with DDP then. Yay! Hold on tight for the discount fairy - she'll come!

And schaery - I work for a cruise line, the cruise is the last vacation I would go on! :rotfl: Thank you for the great ideas though!

I just got the same e-mail yesterday (only with my family's name ;) ) and probably ordered my DVD a couple of weeks ago too. Got the e-mail and then the planning DVD was in the mailbox the same day. I'm bummed the code isn't valid for our trip though. :sad1:

My e-mail offered a standard room at a Value Resort for $82 "most nights 11/30-12/18/08" or 30% off the non-discounted price for stays most nights 3/30-4/12/08, 8/10-9/27/08, 10/19-11/1/08, 11/9-11/15/08 and 12/7-12/13/08.
