So I just booked this cruise over the weekend, and thought I would stop by and say HI. I'm looking forward to going. Just me and my DS (8) on this cruise, which will be new for me not having the rest of the family around.

I'm looking forward to being on the ship and enjoying the Christmas decorations.
I cannot beli

eve I only have 5 days to prepare for the cruise!

look forward to meeting you! only 5 days indeed! Get crackin' and packin'

My husband gave me the go ahead to call and see what suites were still available and how much they would cost as an upgrade... will call this afternoon after I get home... will let you know the answer...in case anyone is interested.

good luck!

One thing we love to do ahead of the cruise is the whole family gets manicures and pedicures ..... it relaxes us before we leave.

16 yo DS wants to know if they'll have egg nog on the ship. Anyone cruised this time of year? He plans on making chicken strips and egg nog his meal 24/7. :confused3

Dont forget to have your mail held and turn off PC, TV's etc and the coffeepot especially if its a Bunn we turn down th thermostat too.

The price you will be quoted NOW will be the full price, not the upgrade at the terminal price...unless you qualify for a TA discount or some other sort of discount.

The closest I ever booked a cruise was a Thursday morning for a Sat. sailing! It was sort of an "emergency move" as I wasn't going to be able to sail the dates we had originally booked, but was able to move it up.

OK, DD's car is fixed, forms for insurance dropped off....what else was I supposed to do today?

You'll save even more if you completely unplug them. Even when they're off, there is a certain amount of current used.

Actually we do unplug them. The Bunn coffee pot has a reservoir that is heated constantly and will evaporate if left on for long periods of time.... and we have many power surges here so we have surge protectors on most appliances that we turn off.

I dont think most areas have power outages like we do here. At least 2 or 3 a month, we live on a prairie by a lake and the storms that rage are amazing.

We're in Apopka; where are you?

I confess, I enjoyed yesterday's blustery, cold, rainy weather! I'm from GA, and I miss the seasons. Unrelenting warmth actually doesn't agree with me! :rotfl2: However, I sure hope it returns to regional sameness before next Saturday!

What special did I miss?
:confused3

Hello neighbor! I live in Sanford, right on the Lake Mary line. So I'm much closer to LM than actual downtown Sanford.

The Disney special was on ABC @ 8pm. It reviewed the history of Disney films and Princess's and gave insight into the new Disney princess, with interviews and the making of. It also explained that this is a drawn film, not computer done. As well, it had about 10 special guest stars talking about how the love Disney! It was really cool to watch! It also showed a clip from the one coming on tonight, Prep & Landing. Sorry you missed it!

Am am curious who's going to be the last to leave for the cruise?

I mean..... somebody has to turn off the light here and lock the door...

We leave Friday early like 4 Am.

We actually might make 2000!

I think I have my excursion planned for Cayman...the Native Way Ray & Island tour...the rum facotry sounds like too much fun to pass up! Is anyone else taking this?

Also, if you’re sending out Christmas cards this year, would you kindly take a moment to send one to a healing solider? I don't know if I can post the address here or not, so PM for it. I personally went to the dollar store (love that place) and bought cards just for this purpose (along with some other fun cool stuff for the cruise!!)

I'll be hanging my FE just in case Santa :santa: comes by...even though I am not signed up!
