I just looked and I still see our cruise available to book for a party of 4 with Cat 12 still available.

Yeah, they're working on rooms or they're up to something...that's what's usually happening when it disappears and shortly thereafter reappears.

Aloha friends,

Well, the packing is 90% done. This trip is a little more complicated due to the land vacation after the cruise so I have to pack "two" ways for each segment. We are also driving from the Chicago area which adds a few more items to the car load. I can't wait for this trip to begin. We take of Wednesday afternoon.

I am making a list and checking it twice


Is anybody decorating the inside of their cabin for the holiday season?

Another hectic thing about this trip is that I'm going to do the majority of my Christmas shopping in Florida after the cruise. It almost feels like we are skipping Christmas because the two trips are the big presents for the family so I will buy just small things for the kids to have under the tree at WDW.


I am so looking forward to this vacation. I want to do a whole lot of nothing. I want a good book, a nice cup of coffee and the biggest decision being what chair to fall asleep in.

Ooooooooooooh..... Yay!!! I told my mom and she and my dad are over the moon. : Thank you to the upgrade fairy! You're da best.

Of course, the cynical side of me is saying Disney probably figured that as soon as I cruised in CAT 6, there was no way I'd cruise without a balcony ever again and they've now got me sucked in for future adventures. But I don't care!!!

I can't believe the cruise is finally happening. Today...I'm doing laundry for the packing. LOL Ahhh... the glamourous life of cruising.

I went and checked our reservation. Sad to say no upgrade for us. I was hoping for the balcony pixie dust as well. Probably good as I imagine I would be like you and want one again in the future. Congrats on your upgrade!

No upgrade here, but I'm still excited because we have connecting cabins in a quiet location.

We have connecting rooms as well. If I had to chose I would much rather have a connecting room than a balcony. Otherwise, my DH and I will be separated. Any Disney cruise is a good cruise for me!

Trying not to panic. Calendar for this week is back-to-back insane with kids activites and volunteer stuff, plans on M, T, W and Fr nite. Nothing except the FEs are packed. Not even sure which bags we're using. Haven't decided on all clothes yet. It's NOT COMING TOGETHER....

Why would then joke around? For the same reason they tell the Customs inspector that they have a pet bird in their suitcase--just plain nuisance value! "But mom, he KNEW we were joking."

Was anyone else rolling on the floor when they read this? Sounds like something I would have done growing up. They must have a great sense of humor.

I'm writing this from my hotel room in Florida. Unfortunately not Orlando though. I'm in Tampa for a 2 day business trip. Nothing like being super far from home when you're trying to do last minute preparations. DH and I even skipped using our Theatre tickets last night for some last minute prep, though yesterday's snow storm did cut into our preparation time.

And yes, she has a much better sense of humor than her mother at moments like that. I mean reality, who would stuff a pet bird in a suitcase....but mom doesn't laugh much at those moments.

My fav was the Customs dude when I came back from Europe. He pointed to my dirty laundry bag and asked what was in it. I told him, and he said that he had to inspect it. I honestly stood there while the dude riffled thru my dirty underwear. I bit my tongue to keep from saying, "Told ya!" Must have been inspecting every 10th bag or something equally brilliant. Fortunately, they don't do such things at the cruise terminal.

For awhile there it was doubtful we'd hit 1000 posts, but we've made incredible progress. We're at 1850+ posts already. Think we can hit 2000 by the end of the week? Just need to average just about 30 posts a day!

I too am about to panic. The only thing keeping me sane is the decision to fly instead of drive. DH is completely swamped a work this week...so no help from him.

Saying a prayer for your family and mine. The cruise will be well worth a stressful week. IT WILL COME TOGETHER!

1. Paid reservation
2. Driver's License
3. Passport.

Those things will get me on the boat. Everything else is just icing on the cake!

I am totally panicked. Our family just finished 2 weeks of daily Nutcracker rehearsals followed by 5 shows. Lot of hair curling and hair spray! What that means is we haven't packed the first outfit. Tomorrow night we are going to see the Rockettes and we all have hair appointments on Tuesday. I have no idea when we will get everything ready to go. We leave Thursday morning.
