Adding my welcome to the newcomers ! Not sure we were on the last list, but we are 3 adults in Cabin 6076 participating in the FE. We haven't received our cruise documents yet--the TA says it is still early, but I'm getting nervous since most of you seem to have yours.

We are definitely participating in the FE exchange, rooms 7550, 7552, 7554.
My daughter Dawn got her cruise documents on Saturday, that just leaves Debbie to get hers. She did move recently, so she probably will get hers in the next couple of days. She will call me when she gets them.
Just 26 more days!

MommaMouse--for the FE, would you mind letting us know how many families/kids are participating so that we can start gathering our gifts? We're so excited! We hadn't mentioned this part to our daughter as we wanted to be sure we could join the exchange first. She is going to LOVE this!!

We are in room 7574. We plan to arrive early that day, so we'd love to join the 3 pm gathering!

I feel your pain MommaMouse! I keep double checking our documents to make sure I have passports, signed cruise contract etc.....I'm starting to drive myself crazy

I spent my WHOLE weekend trying to make my magnets! I procrastinated so I paid the price by losing sleep! I took pictures of them so I'll have to remember to upload them....they actually turned out great, I used glitter on the sorcerer's mickey hat and on the santa hat...I think they look awesome! But now I'm worried someone will steal them, I read on the DIS that people are getting their magnets and FE's stolen.........I will be SO MAD!

Christmas is also coming up so this is me buying the tech toys my daughter wants ----------> What happened to the days of wooden toy horses????????? Kids sure don't get cheaper the older they get! I wish I was buying diapers still!!!!!

I know I read about the stolen magnets and FE...people are horrible...my two cents are that its teenageers...and they are not stealling it to keep but probably throwing it away to ruin our trip...(i know not all teens are evil )

Hi there CherylSue...I remember seeing that wreath on the threads somewhere. It's such a cute idea and I think your doing a great job. My DD and I spent a good part of yesterday putting out FE gifts together. I love crafts and we are having so much fun with these. I'm really pleased with the way they are coming out.I have to admit that I cheated as far as my FE goes. I'm having one made by a woman on ebay and I had my magnets printed online by Kodak Gallery so all I have to do is laminate and add magnetic tape. This part did save on printer ink though. So, I have a question for everyone concerning the meet. How are we going to recognize each other? I've seen pic's of MommaMouse on her PTR so I can find her but what about the others? I'm sure we are not the only ones who plan to meet at the Promenade. I only ask because a friend of mine had a meet at the sail away partyconfused3) and they wore Santa hats. Problem was so did many others so she didn't get to meet the group, just a few. Any ideas? Or am I concerned for no reason...

I also read that it might help to write, "I've been stolen. Please return to cabin xxxx," on the back. of your magnets and to use a barlock to attach your FE to the fish thingy. It can't hurt, right.

Can you imagine all of us wearing bells?Kind of a fun idea though.One of my FE gifts involves bells and when I picked them up last night my poor kitty headed for the hills. And I always thought that cats like bells.

I was totally going to buy sleigh bells and ring them around but I thought people would through me overboard...lol


on my first carnival cruise it was out of Puerto Rico!! and of course we love to sing and play music everywhere so a bunch of us were running around the ship with maracas and congas singing....I had fun...lol

maybe I'll make one of those flags like they do for the Tour Groups from South America.

I can just see us running around with maracas! Although I have to admit that sounds like loads of fun!

I think maybe the bell necklaces......We don't have to put them on until we get to the lounge, so that will lessen our chances of getting fed to the sharks by our fellow cruisers. And if someone forgets theirs all they have to do is look for the nut jobs with bells!

We never did come up with a "title" for our cruise group.......suggestions? That way if a sign is made we know what to look for.......

Hey CherylSue that wreath is really cute! Maybe I'll try to make one of those using my Cricut. I'm trying not to create too many projects for myself, but I keep seeing cute ideas! How much I end up doing will depend on how easy they are. If I have trouble, there won't be much!

And I will have to get a bell necklace to wear! I've already got Santa ears, which I'll probably also wear.

Now I'm worried about my FE and magnets getting stolen. I am going to put my name on everything I can. Hopefully that will help. I just ordered the magnetic sheets from Amazon since I couldn't find them at Staples or Office Max near me. I'm going to attempt to make my own FE. I don't want anything too complicated and I'm semi-crafty so I hope it goes ok.

I still haven't received my cruise documents, but my TA said I should get them soon. My parents got theirs and I was a little jealous!

well talk about a BIG OLE MONKEY WRENCH....I was driving my car to drop off the boys at daycare... singing songs with my boys...I pulled into the driveway, and I tried to put my car into Park and the shifter or whatever its called, went all the way up to the park position but the indicator on my dashboard said it was still on neutral..luckily my emergency break works. so worse case scenerio my transmission just went out...its still in the driveway and all I'm saying is of course this will happen right before christmas, never fails..inside I am sooooo angry but there's nothing I can do but just try and just relax and say it is what it is...and pray that its just the cable to the transmission that is needing replacement and the repari will only cost $300, vs $2000.

I'll be getting it towed to the shop later today and I will know either tonight or tomorrow morning the verdict...

and ps I'm bummed out...really wish this would've happened on January 3rd...after the holidays... wooosa wooosa

Oh MommaMouse! I'm so sad to hear that happened to you!!!! The same things always happen to me right before Christmas....or something else big so I feel your pain and stress! I'll be crossing my fingers....sprinkling pixie dust......and wishing on a star that it's not something serious. Times like these I try to remember that yeah it sucks, but everyone is safe and healthy.

Thank you PrincessSharon! The wreath I saw on the DIS boards was done with a circuit....but I don't have one....but I do have scissors!

Hot Dog Lady, I don't know about a cut off date for the FE sorry I just wasn't going to have enough time to make all of them because of some personal stuff......but I do have stuff for the children and as more people get added with children I shuffle around a bit so I have things for them too.
