So sorry it has been forever since I posted. DW and I have been going crazy at work, her prepping for a big trial and me trying to finish up our 5 month long budget process! We REALLY need a vacation!

We are first time cruisers but Disney vets. We honeymooned at WDW in 1997 and just celebrated our 13th anniversary yesterday! We will be in cabin 6098 for this cruise. We won't be participating in the FE, because we just have not had time. I am an amateur photographer so I will try and get some good shots of the FEs and door decorations from this group. We are looking forward to this trip and meeting some of our fellow DISers and cruisers!

Hey MommaMouse......we are all ok, it is just a family issue that is going to eat up a lot of our spare time. My family's business that opened in 1946 will be closing this year so there are a lot of loose ends that need to be tied. Everyone kinda knew it was coming....but it's just terrible, sad news......our whole family loved that business and it was my grandfather's baby. I really appreciate you still giving your gift, that is very sweet! I do have the candy and some stickers that I have already bagged, so I want the kids to have that

you know I was thinking this trip is coming up to fast...I had a great time planning it I can't believe its almost here..

I also got a quote today for the Fantasy ship in april 2012...deposits a little steep right now...so maybe in February (tax return time hee hee)...I can book it..if its not full...I hope it won't be...

I know! The cruise is almost here I can't believe time flew the way it has!

We priced out another 4 night on the Dream for the same time next year......I'm hoping we have enough money to book while on this cruise, I think I read somewhere that you get 10 percent off and half off the deposit????? Then maybe when we're on the Dream we can book either the Fantasy or the Wonder again for ALASKA! (I've always wanted to take an Alaskan cruise!)

Shadowryter - Sorry to have absconded with your cabin! We were originally booked into 6588, but when we found out it was across the hall from the laundry, we requested a change and that was the cabin that popped up!

I have the meet time and place written down and we will try to make it there. I told my DW and she seems up for it too!

I'll bring my camera and if everyone wants a group shot I will be more than happy to give it a go. You will probably see me wandering around the ship with my camera glued to my hip!

Several of the folks on the photo board here (where I spend most of my DIS time) are avid cruisers and have given me great ideas for shots while on board.

We are looking forward to a nice relaxing trip and meeting as monay of you as we can while on board.

Now that my "busy season" is over at work, I will be checking in a little more frequently.

Sorry to hear the sad news...been there done that. Your family is amazing for it to have lasted this long...we lost ours way back in 83 when big businesses beat us out!!! we couldn't compete..

Same thing happened to our business.....it was a custom cabinet shop and we just can't compete with Lowe's and Home Depot. People today want really low prices and just don't care about custom work anymore.

On a better note......the cruise is almost here!!!!!! I can't wait to watch the shows, eat the food and RELAX!

Yes, we are participating in the FE exchange. Our stateroom # is 2608.

We just went to Disney late last Friday through this past Monday. The weather was in the upper 80's, low humidity and beautiful blue skies. We went primarily for MNSSHP and had a ton of fun. I was a bit worried having to use a ECV/electric scooter because of the boot on my foot but I managed to drive safely. I'm hoping to have the boot off by the cruise but it doesn't look too promising.

We can't wait for the cruise!! I'm not sure we'll be at the meet with the kids probably wanting to swim during that low crowd time. If anyone is up for meeting around the pools that isn't going to the Promenade lounge, please let me know.

I sure hope the next 36 days fly by!

Great!!! I will add your cabin to your info...hopefully youll get the boot off. but maybe you'll be able to relax more if you still had it on...soak in the sun and sights??? drink of the day all day? lol

Boy you are really ambitous. I was going to make my own FE but with all the handmade gifts I decided to let someone else do it for me.It's going to be great though, Tiffany is personalizing every aspect of it and I'm really excited to see the final results. Now as far as license plates go, not my area of design but if you look on the Creative DISign thread you will find a lot folks that can help. I personalized a couple of Dolly's plates just today, but she has blanks in her 4shared. There's also a DISign thread on the cruise boards. Happy planning.

I am SOOOOOOOOO ready for some relaxation!

I can't decide where we are going to eat when we board the ship. Leave it to me to think of food.........I think I have a problem which would be the reason why my diet plans were....uhhhh....unsuccessful! So anyway...we were thinking Parrot Cay, reading the DISboards it seems like it's not as crazy as BBB.

We weren't planning on doing anything before or after the cruise, but we decided we are going to Universal on December 4th. They have Christmas decorations up, I wonder if they'll decorate the Harry Potter area for Christmas.....that would be cool! Our schedules have been so crazy we haven't been able to utilize our annual passes, so we'll go to Universal for a couple of hours then head over to Country Inn and Suites....that way we are going to be REALLY tired and will fall asleep FAST then be well rested for boarding day!!!
