I just got those links in a newsletter this morning and they both sound like great ideas to me!
Thanks- I will check those out:goodvibes
I can't wait for Dec 1 either! That is when we are flying to Orlando! We're spending the day at DTD before hitting the parks the next day. Yesterday in the car, Haley asked me if we could just go ahead and go. She knew we couldn't but we are both so excited. We ended up singing part of the song on Splash Mountain.

We did start packing a few days ago. Cameron found his little Mickey suitcase and starting loading it up with toys! He rolls it all over the place now and says he is ready for Mickey Mouse's House! We are all ready :yay: Well, not packing wise but emotionally we are !!!
The image of Cameron with his suitcase is adorable:thumbsup2
THanks!!!!

I just have to remember I need to slow down and try not to do so much but that is just so hard to do.

It is HARD--especially when you are a mom. Good luck:hug:

[Sorry if I am not being so chipper around here lately.... I fell last month and broke my coccyx and it is very, very painful. I really thought that I would be feeling better by now but it is still killing me.[/QUOTE]

I hope you are feeling better soon. I've had friends do the same thing in the past and it seems to be a very painful thing to do. They had little blow up donut things to sit on but were still in pain with that too.

Our run of being healthy has come to a bump in the road with Keegan. He came home yesterday and said he felt awful and had fallen asleep on the school bus ride home. He had a bad headache and started a fever and he only has ever had them when he's had strep or from the mass in his chest. I immediately called to bring him in and he does have strep. The asthma/oncology doctor stopped by when he saw us there (we were seeing a different doctor) to make sure we weren't back with problems in his chest. Luckily they said he sounds all clear and he hasn't had any chest pain. We have to be extremely careful with him and any infections. He got 2 antibiotic shots in his backside and gets to stay home from school today. With having the shots he doesn't have to take liquid antibiotics for 10 days---he actually wanted the shots over the liquid meds! I thought he might be embarrassed to have 2 young blonde nurses administer them but he had the biggest smile and then they had to massage the injection sites to help move the "thick medicine." He's already feeling much better and I'm glad it wasn't the flu. The office was jam packed with under 3 y/o high risk kids getting h1n1 shots. They still don't have any of the above age 3 shots in stock. Still no word on them getting the vaccine at school either. We are one of the last schools to get them and I'm just waiting for them to say they'll come in while we are gone on vacation. I'm hoping to get some packing done this weekend. We'll be leaving before we know it!!

I got the shirts washed yesterday.

I am hoping to get them done today. I only have 9 total days to get them done along with 3 journals ~ my journal is the back up if something happens to one of their journals.

I was wrong ... I only have 6 days  to do things without the kiddos seeing/watching what I am doing.

Wow, that must be scary! Glad that it was "just" strep and nothing more serious. Of course, strep if left untreated can become serious but good thing y'all caught early!

Here's hoping everyone gets well and/or stays well for the cruise!

Wow, as Carmie said, good thing you caught it early enough! You'd hate to miss out on the cruise so close to the sail date.

Stay healthy everyone!

Hope Keegan feels better soon

I have to ask is he a handful, my sister actually named my boys and I already fell in love with that name before I knew the meaning of it and boy ohh boy does it fit him.......:rotfl:

I got home from work early today, as our department is moving to our company's brand new offices in Chicago.

Also, I found out today that a co-worker is retiring, and since my boss is taking her place, I am being promoted to a supervisory position on December 1st(just in time to celebrate on the cruise)! It also means I will be incredibly busy wrapping up my old business with a shortened Thanksgiving week coming up, and then the cruise.

I look forward to seeing you all then!

Scot

If anyone has any last minute cabin changes please leave me a note on my Cabin Door so I can fix the list before I pass them out.
THANKS.

Hmmm, I guess you'll be cancelling the cruise then? Supervisors are not supposed to stray too far from the office. It's in the contract ;):lmao:

Yay! It's good to hear positive news in the job market. :cool1:

Congratulations!

Congratulations Scot:cheer2: I am sure it will be hetic settling into that position over the holiday weekend, but it will give you al the more reason to enjoye the relaxation of the cruise:upsidedow

Thanks everyone for the well wishes for Keegan. He's feeling much better and was glad to be home all dayf rom school and relaxing.

Scot--congrats on your promotion! What a way to celebrate with a cruise!

Mommyoftwininfants-- I'm guessing you are meaning the "fiery little one" interpretation of the name Keegan? He was a fiesty little thing in utero but is extremely laid back and well behaved (at least that's what his teachers tell me!) He's very, very shy unless he's on a football or baseball field. Brennan is the exact opposite and can go in to a room full of kids he doesn't know and come out with all their names and phone numbers! He does behave in school as well, but he just has a very different temperament. You are nice to let you sister name your kids! I had been teaching before getting pregnant with Keegan and wanted a name where I didn't associate it with a kid that caused trouble. I saw the name in a baby book and didn't know a single kid with that name and loved it. He's got 2 more Keegan's in his grade and we've run into a dozen others. We've only run into about 4 other Brennan's. Funny thing is one was a girl on our first Wonder cruise and her last name also started with an R.

Hanover-
my boys are the only ones in town with their name but when we head to austin to see my nieces do their little activities I hear their names quite a few times. I too wanted a name that was not popular, I hated growing up having 5 other girls in my class with my name but I am the only one with and f.:lmao: which meant nobody ever spelled my name right...:headache:

How is everyone's packing going?

DH & I have "free babysitting" ~ which means the kids at church have service hours to get and our "charge" is a bag of items for the local food pantry ~ on Sunday.

We still have to try on the dresses for the girls & make sure their shoes get packed along with their tights.

We will be semi-formal for both our "dress up" nights. How about the rest of you ladies?

I placed a call to DCL to check on my waitlist status for a change to early dinner. The CM told me that they work on the list 3-4 days before the cruise. I am still hoping for early dining. Especially since I am an early riser ... 5 am or so every day with NO alarm. Go figure, I never woke up w/o an alarm while I worked f/t in an office and now that I don't NEED to be up, I am:rotfl:

I printed the last couple of pages for the dkids journals. I was at school yesterday and found out that I can use the equipment there to make a comb binder (think the plastic thingy that holds the pages together). And it's FREE!:cool1:

I am not sure how much it was at KINKO's but FREE is better!

Congrats on the promotion!!:cheer2:

Does this mean that they can contact you on the cruise?

Or do you get your last work free week for a l o n g while?
