I just caught up on your last few posts and I have to say that I love, love, love how you took pics of all the things you're preparing and bringing along on the trip. Your new camera really does take great pics. I know when we bought our new digital for this trip this past spring how much fun we had experimenting with it, to see how it would do with low lighting (for the MK night time parade), food for when we take pics of what we eat on our trip, etc. My DH loves that our camera is so small that he could even stick it in his pocket!

I'm so glad your brother did come and visit and that you had a good time with him. Poor thing. Couldn't handle watching the Disney DVD.

I am so, so, so happy for you that tomorrow your kids will be home!!! I know you've had a hard time waiting for them to return, and just think. . .now, you and Reese can spend the next four months doing any final preparations, like getting her those Croc flip flops! I had never seen Crocs as flip flops, and seeing yours is making me think about getting a pair. Make sure you fill us in on your reunion with the kids.

I can't wait to keep reading what you do for your Disney trip over the coming months. But, please, try to chill and not get so stressed about it. When you start having dreams like the one you shared, you are definitely stressing way too much about it. Believe me. I talk in my sleep, and I don't remember if I'd have dreams like that. But, there have been times when my DH wakes me up and says, "Okay, you just have to relax about the Disney trip. You're talking about it in your sleep A-gain." So, I understand.

Your trip will be amazing! I just know it.

jackdis your trip is 13 days away, I hope you have started packing by now, my trip is months away and I have already started my packing now. I am not ready for summer to be over yet, I have 2 weeks till the kids start school and it's not enough time.
I am looking forward to a trip report from you when you get back.

ElizaB39 Thank you for putting my dream into perspective. I know it's happy stress combined with over stress that is causing me to have bad dreams. I know the dream itself was ridiculous, Mickey is first on my list, I refuse to miss out on him this year and my itinerary is fool prrof. Thank you so much for the encouraging words. If for some reason you find yourself at Disney during the same time I am there please look me up, you would be more than welcome to join us and all our antics.

njdisneyfreak Kids are home!!!! life is almost back to normal, I have my sister Bo's kid with me for the week so it's hectic along with Reese's cheering, and Jim's guitar and oral surgery prep. But we are trucking right along. I am ready to get back to planning again. I have made another purchase for my trip, I will post pics again soon.

roxannensteve crocs are working out great, I strongly recommend a pair or two or three. I can't believe how comfy they are.

ILMICKEY I am back, the kids are doing great, Reese grew an inch (even though I told her no growing when not in my presence) Jim's hair grew an inch, it must be the michigan water. My Dad's party was so awesome, thanks for asking. He was completely surprised to see the kids there. We played volley ball, and let me tell you, my Dads 60 years does not show, he was diving for the ball and going up to the net and spiking it, old man? not my Dad, he is still a young 25 in my eyes.
The ex... hhmmm, what can I say about the ex? The kids hate him even more now. Jim said he was the perfect example of what NOT to do when your a father. Would it be wrong of me to wish he drive off the Mackinac bridge?

TheLastPrincess Welcome to this pre trip report, I am glad you like my last one. I am having a blast planning this trip with Reese, she has a few ideas up her sleeve that I think all our Dis friends will enjoy, so keep coming back and checking in for more.

I have made some new purchases and will post some pics of them soon as well as pics from my Dads B-day party.

I have purchased my airline tickets, we leave Dec 4th at 2:20pm from Baltimore, we hadn't planned to leave until that evening, but we got excited at AAA and decided to leave early. for our first night there we have room only, our park tickets do not start until our second day, so we will resort hop that first day and check out all the christmas decorations, and maybe even try and see the water pageant parade from the Wilderness Lodge. Our return flight is Dec11th at 8:00pm, so we are going to get 7 full days at the park.

Last but not least, we have a 5th traveler now, Reeses idea. I will introduce him and post a picture of him soon. I think you will all love him.

I can tell you he has never been to Disney, Reese refers to him as our foreign exchange student.

I think I had said earlier that it was my sister who went and picked up the kids from my ex and brought them back to her house for my Dads party, Kent and I drove in from Pa. and got to Bo's house about 20 minutes after the kids did. My sister was taking their pictures to put in a frame for my Dad as a gift when Kent and and I pulled in, I could not get out of the truck fast enough to get to them, I was shaking and crying and just needed to hold them. My sister snapped this picture.

Reese had grown an inch and got even more beautiful. I was a bit bummed that she had cut 2 inches off her hair, I love her long hair.

Jims hair had grown alot and was in need of another dye job. I don't mind his long hair, there is so much in his life that he does not have control of so I feel this is something he does have a say in, although he does have to fight to keep it long while at his Dads. the long hair is growing on me, I think he is a good looking boy.

After all of our hugs and hellos we just waited for my Dad to show up, and once he did we got the party started, I got to see Aunts and uncles that I havent seen in 10 years, the kids were meeting some for the first time ever. My uncle Lenny is from Mexico and he was just all about Reese. Jim got out his guitar and played for everyone (he's not shy) Then we got the volley ball game going.

WUTAM

He comes up with some off the wall stuff, he said wutam is Mathew backwards and he is slowly trying to create a world where he will be the leader and he will go by WUTAM, he had hands signs and all, everytime he would spike the ball he'd yell WUTAM! it became a big thing that day. He's a nerd sometimes.

Our game was interupted so Reese could go to the mall, Matt took her and she came back with lots of clothes for school. By then the party had moved inside for Karaoke. My sister is famous for her karaoke parties, this one was low key but still fun. We wrapped it up around 2:30am.

Wanna hear something sad? My mom doesn't know I am going to Disney now. She kept saying that Disney was a frivolous expense and that I shouldn't be going. So last May I told her I canceled my trip just to get her off my back. Pathetic that I am 30ish and having to lie to my mom about what I am doing. I'm like 16 all over again.

Anyway, I gotta run, just wanted to post pics of how grown my babies got over the summer. I will be back later in the week to post pics of our new traveler.

We are heading to Chincoteague this weekend, PM me if you would like a post card.

So last May I told her I canceled my trip just to get her off my back. Pathetic that I am 30ish and having to lie to my mom about what I am doing. I'm like 16 all over again.

Hey last weekend we went to Birch Run shopping (by Frankenmuth). They had awesome deals on school clothes. Didn't have time to run to Frankenmuth though! Have a great weekend! Take Pics~~~~that was stupid, you are the scrapbook queen!

There is nothing wrong with long hair! My husband has been growing his hair since he was 13....so that makes 17 years of growing! Needless to say, it's pretty long now.... Guitars and long hair go hand in hand.

Thanks for the bump back to page one, I am swamped with work and have no time for fun, plus we are preparing for Reese's back to school slumber/pool party this weekend (14 drama queens in one room...uber fun) But I will back to the boards in a major way in about a week or two. Honestly, who could think Disney is a waste of money? My mom spends thousands of dollars a year on quilting retreats, supplies and fabrics, and I think it's a waste of money, but it makes her happy, just like Disney makes me happy, it's all a matter of individual preference right? but it is sad that I have to lie about it.

xoprincessmomxo Long hair suits Jim, yup long hair and guitars belong together. I know he is judged by his apearance and I hate that because he is a great kid and people miss out on knowing him by assuming he is trouble.
17 years of growing hair? it's gotta be looooooong. Jim plans to not cut his until he joins the Coast Guard, that is 3 years away, I can't even imagine the length, but it will make for a great scrapbook page.
