Dec. 2, 2007-4 night Wonder and MouseFest Cruise

Hi Joan. Great to have you with us and good to hear from someone who has actually been on a Mousefest cruise.

We will be there without children too, though they are all much older than your girls! We are at POFQ for a week before the cruise and at POP for 4 night after. This will be our first ever cruise, a taster before our 15 night Panama Canal Repo cruise next May!

Are you actually going to register with Mousefest? I had heard you can take part in most of the activities even if you are not an 'official' Mousefest cruiser, though there must be some benefit to registering with Mousefest.

We loved WDW at Christmas time last yearso I am looking forward to seeing onboard too this time.

HI, Marilyn!

Thanks for the welcome.

For some reason I am still having trouble with my postings and replies. I'm hoping to sort it all out soon, so I can continue to talk with you all about the cruise and explain a bit about Mousefest.

Looking forward to sending more.

Take two. Take four, actually.

I'm not sure what I am including that is keeping some of my replies from posting, so be patient with me.

The main advantage of registering for Mousefest is that you get a list of all the activities, as well as a badge which identifies you as participating. No obligation, no cost (well, at least so far.)

We loved our cruise but felt that Mousefest was the icing on the cake because it helped us easily meet so many new friends, and featured many extra activities. My favorite was the Hidden Mickey ship tour!

I'm trying to keep this short till I get the hang of what I can and can't do, so let me know if you have more specific questions.

There is a mousefest website, but I'm not sure if I can post the URL on this board or not.

I have been on the website but there isn't much there yet. I will keep my eye on it. I can't see that it is in competition with this site so shouldn't really be a problem naming the site. Better to be safe though.

My husband John is rather a reluctant Disney visitor, though I think he secretly really enjoys it! Well he enjoys many of the rides anyway. I worry actually becoming an official 'Mousfester' might not go down too well!:lmao:

Fred(Majestic) and his family are definately part of Mousefest. He hasn't posted for a while. I think he is organising a 'Mega Mouse Meet' somewhere!

Welcome to the thread, Joan. I've been incommunicado for the past week as work is getting a bit crazy. Looking forward to meeting you and Kevin on board and chatting with you these next few months!

Michael

Hi Marilyn!

I accidentially opened this thread while scanning for my 12/6 Wonder cruise (12/2 is the day I arrive at WDW) and thought I'd stop in and say HI.

To everyone on this cruise...you are saling with some pretty nice folks. ::yes:: Marilyn and I will cruise together next spring on the Panama Canal Westbound repositioning cruise and I've really enjoyed getting to know her on our (VERY active) thread. I'm so sorry we won't get to meet in December, as I'll be getting on the Wonder when you all get off (keep her neat for me, OK?).

I see Fred is on this cruise too. He was a great help to me when I planned my visit to Wilderness Lodge back in Jan of 05. Thanks, Fred!

Looks, like I'll be trading places with one of you (Kim? sorry I don't remember who's post it was I saw), as I'll be at POFQ while you are on the ship (I'll keep it neat for you ;) ). I really love FQ, it small and charming and just a boat ride away from shopping and dining! DON'T change your mind and move over to CBR...trust me on this....give French Quarter a try.

OK.....off to find my way home to my 3 day Wonder thread......

Hello Jackie! I leave POFQ on the 2nd to go on our cruise, so you might get our room there as well as our cabin on the Wonder!!!! What a shame we just miss each other, but we will have 15 days next May to make up for it!

I am sooooooooooooooo jealous of you two for going on the PC cruise. We so wish we had the time to do that.

Jackie, I'm assuming Valley of Sun is the Phoenix area, yes? Just had a great weekend with friends from there and Tucson.

Stay cool!

Michael

Hi....
Thank you so much for your advice, I have not changed resorts yet I was still debating and I think you have been the deciding factor. The reason I did pick FQ in the first place is because I  DTD so much and I love the fact that it is just a boats ride away. I have stayed in POR before and liked it a lot. I was just a little scared off by those cheerleaders lol.
Thanks again... I wish you were sailing with us your sound like someone I would like to meet.

Yes, I'm in Phoenix (where it is just a tad too warm today).

I TRIED to get my crowd to do the four day cruise, but actually we were all horning in on someones WEEK at WDW and talked them into converting part of the trip to a cruise, so I guess I can't complain. There are 14 of us who cruised together last November who are meeting up for this December adventure. Plus I found out some other friends were ALSO on the cruise and invited my sister and I to join them in the Walt Suite! (Like that was a hard decision!)

I'd just like to say that meeting DISers on your cruise can be a wonderful thing...and create some friendships that can last for years to come. You will all have so much fun on this cruise ::yes::

 Hi Everyone! I just thought I would share the fact that it is EXACTLY 5 months until the cruise!! :dancer:

I'm so busy trying to work out flights for next year's trip that I am slacking on this cruise!!

Hi everyone, been keeping an eye on the board but haven't had time to post, helping DW with garage sale this past weekend. Have to pay off this trip :rotfl2:

Can hardly wait, trip can't come fast enough. Five months and counting:cool1: . Two years ago was our only time visiting when the Christmas decorations were up and could not take it all in. DDs didn't want to stop and look at the decorations, go figure.

Pretty excited around our house this morning, DW booked Le Cellier for CP before the cruise:santa:

Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Wishing everyone a good day. It's going to be hot out here, they're talking 105. We were going to head to Palm Springs but it's gonna be 116 there so we're going to try and make friends with the neighbors who have a pool!

Michael
