Been raining here also, was hoping to get out on the boat todaypirate: Hopefully it will stop for the fireworks tonight.

granmaz - When is the rain going to stop. Are they ever going to make it through the Championships

Things are the opposite here. It hasn't rained in weeks and today they were calling for storms most of the day.....it literally rained 5 drops here today and the skies cleared. It was PERFECT for fireworks! LOL Now the flowers... they are not so happy.
Not a good week for Tennis in the UK.

Wimbledon!!! Someone(a player) once said - 'Wimbledon is a great tournament, shame it isn't held in summer!'

Sunny today, so they may get some play in!

Yeah we are going on the Mousefest cruise too. Me, DH, DD(4), BIL and friend. It is our first time, my friend has been before. I cannot wait it is getting closer now. Will there really be enough to keep 4 year old happy ??
Also anyone know the best place to stay the night before the cruise leaves and should we rent a car for the whole time we are going to be there or just to get us to the hotel and then from the hotel to our condo in Disney ? We are staying in Orlando until the 15th after the cruise.

Hi. Is it Meg, or is that your daughter? Welcome to our small but growing group. This will be our first ever cruise and I am very excited. I didn't know anything about Mousefest, but have been reading up, and it looks like it will add to our already great time.

We are at WDW for a week before the cruise and for 4 nights after, so we are just going to get one car and leave it at the port car park to save the double hassle of going to/from the depot at Port Canaveral. We will be going straight from POFQ on the Sunday morning of the cruise and I don't have any experience of pre night stays at the port, but I have read many threads on the general bit of the Cruise forum here. Seems like the Residence Inn and Country Inn and Suites are the most popular.

Looking forward to meeting you.

Hi Meg! Welcome
I don't think I have ever heard anyone else besides my roommate use the term pennsyltucky!! :rotfl: Her whole family is from what she calls pennsyltucky. Where abouts are you? Again welcome to the board.

Hi Meg,

We felt the same way last year when we took our DDs, 5 and 9. They had a blast. We had a hard time getting them out of the kids club to have family time. Did manage to see a few shows together and plenty to keep busy on Castaway Cay.

Tom

Hi Meg :welcome: There are so many things to do on the cruise I don't think you have to worry about a 4 year old being bored. Like my dh said we had a hard time getting them out of the clubs to do things with us. I'm not sure if my husband can't type or doesn't know how old our girls were last year but they were 7 and 9. :rotfl2:

We have been really busy here the last few weeks. Had a garage sale that was a lot of work but made almost $500 and cleaned out our basement.

I think we are going to stay a few days after the cruise now. I can call on Monday to try to get AKL for two days after. We have a few points left that would be enough for two nights so I hope it is available. We have never stayed there and I think we would love it.

Ann Marie

Welcome, Meg!

Ann Marie and Tom, great haul on the garage sale! Here's hoping you get your stay at VAK!!

Marilyn, TURN OFF THE WATER WORKS OVER THERE!!!

Have a great weekend everyone!!

Michael

Have a great weekend yourself!!

It hasn't rained today, but it has been cool and windy. Rain tomorrow, nice on Sunday then a changeable week!:sad2: The country is a little fed up now.

Hi Anne Marie,

I just wanted to let you know that my daughter Adriane sent your girls a PM today. I hope all is well and have a nice weekend!

Vicki

Hello Everyone.... Had to dig the Thread back up and bump it up. How was the weekend?
Have a great Week!!:wizard:

Not a bad weekend thanks. Didn't rain much either, which is brilliant!!!

Bought some algae eater fish for the new aquarium, had a lovely cake and coffee out and yesterday had to go into work for a while.

How about you?

Well, I worked the entire weekend. Normally this would be a bad thing, but it was all overtime, which means MORE MONEY FOR DISNEY!!
I lead a pretty boring life... LOL

Glad to hear everyone had a good weekend, can't complain here either. Spent it on the boat and swimming with the DDs. Doesn't get much better:thumbsup2

Hi Anne Marie,

I just wanted to let you know that my daughter Adriane sent your girls a PM today. I hope all is well and have a nice weekend!

Vicki

My girls sent Adriane a pm a few days ago with their new e-mail address.

We are trying to decide what to do after the cruise. Our original plan was to go home but have since changed to staying at Disney for a few more days. The only problem is that there are no DVC rooms available. We are on the waiting list but I really don't think it will come through. Now we need to decide where to stay. I would really like to try something new but I really don't want to pay too much. We were thinking about Caribbean Beach but I think Pop Warner will be there and I really can't handle the cheerleaders. I am holding out for an AP rate. Any suggestions? What is your favorite resort?

Hope everyone has a great weekend. :cool1:

We are staying at POP and I don't think the Pop Warner kids go there. We like POFQ and are staying there before the cruise, but I know some go there and Riverside, and I read some not very good reports of the buses last year,so we are avoiding there!

Great news:cool1: we were wait listed for after the cruise and just found out we got two nights at OKW. A few more days with the holiday spirit:santa: before we have to head back north. Hope eveyone else is having an enjoyable summer.
