Hey, Tom! Congrats on the waitlist coming through!!! Have only stayed at OKW once (our first time) and LOVED it.

4-1/2 months to go, gang!

Michael

Having not been on a cruise before, do we get any information sent out telling us about excursions etc?

I just received info in the mail the other day from DCL. It talks all about the excursions. Hopefully they will send you one too! If not, I would be happy to send you mine. Let me know.

Ah, thanks Kim. I imagine I will get one then, but of course I am in the UK so it should take awhile longer. I will contact DU if I don't receive anything in few weeks.

Marilyn:
Go to disneycruise.com and click "My Disney Cruise."
Click on "Retrieve Reservation."
Enter the confirmation number, et al (or register first if you haven't already!)
Click on "My Cruise Plans."
Select "Learn More about Shore Excursions."

Select Nassau and Castaway Cay as the ports of call and you'll see what's available.

I believe you can book the excursions at the 75-day mark.

Michael

Thanks Michael! Yes I can't book anything till 75 days out, though I doubt we will book anything actually. This will be more of a budget trip as we are in Disney for the 10 days around the cruise, and of course the airfares are on top too!!I think for a first cruise we will just love what the Disney cruise has to offer.

We are doing the Panama Canal repo next May, so hopefully we will do some extras then.

Just to say we received the cruise planning info this morning. Makes me more excited. I imagine when you have been on a few cruises it isn't just as exciting to receive this!:)

Oh, no no no!!!! We do the one-legged hop through the house and out the back door into the back yard causing the neighbors to wonder (once again!) why these two wackos ever moved in and when the heck will they move out!

Hmmmmm..... maybe we should request that they teach the one-legged dance instead of the electric slide at one of the on-deck parties.

:rotfl: Michael!!! I will let you know if John does a dance tonight when I show him the info!!! :rotfl2:

Well, just to say John read the booklet through from cover to cover!! No jumping around the room, but at least he showed interest!!:rotfl:

He was impressed with the presentation and info. Well it is so cute looking.

Just to let you know that you can now register for the Mousefest cruise if you want, on the Mousefest website.

Michael I hope you and Marc will show us your dance on the cruise. Did everyone get something from DCL? Nothing here.....

We booked our airfare this week for $123 RT. I was very happy with that price.

Going to register for Mousefest now. Have a great weekend everyone.

Oh my, if that happened I would either be crowned the new Goofy or Dopey!!! Marc would be hanging his head in shame as I would hauled off to the brig!

We received our package from DCL telling us to get ready. I'm sure yours will be arriving shortly! I was so pleased to hear that you guys scored OKW for a few days after the cruise.

NICE airfare!!! We got REAL lucky as we bumped ourselves from the last flight we took from MCO and each got $400 in vouchers to be used on future flights. Well, we're using them on this one! We're also hoping we can bump ourselves again and do another free flight for next September!

(Don't tell Marc but I'm gonna sign us up for Mousefest, too!)

Have a great weekend all!!

WHOA!! 123! I must say I am jealous!! Where are you flying out of and what carrier? Maybe it will be worth my drive up. Flights here are 230 at the lowest.

Thanks for the info about Mousefest, I have taken care of that.:thumbsup2

Any of you planning to decorate your door? I am thinking this time to just look at everyone elses as I have absolutely no idea about how to print things out etc and don't want it to be embarrassing!!!

I thought we might go on Dave Marx' walking tour of Nassau as we were only planning to get off the boat for a walk, but this seems a good idea to get some exercise as well as see the place.

I won't be parasailing but I might just watch you!!:)

I think there will be more things added as the time approaches.

Welcome Ray Glad you found us here. :welcome:

Tom will be decorating our door. Last year he used photoshop to make the pictures and then we printed some off on magnetic paper and some on card stock that we had laminated and used magnetic tape to apply to our door.

Kimmy I got that price on Travelocity and I am pretty sure that it was an error. I had to fight them for 4 days to get that price and actually get tickets. It was a nightmare but I stood my ground and finally were issued tickets today. We leave Detroit Nov. 28 and return on Dec 8.

I still don't know what we are going to do in Nassau. I don't think the girls would like a walking tour and I really don't want to pay to go to Atlantis.

Hello, bcvprincesses, and thank you for the welcome.

I will get off the ship at Nassau, but maybe not to go too far.

On my first trip, I took the ship excursion on bus to Atlantis, and had a good time seeing the sites and playing a little one arm bandit in the Atlantis casino.

I started off with $40.00, won a total of $150.00, but lost $130.00.

So I got my $40.00 back plus $20.00 extra.

It was O.K., but I am not much of a gambler. I've never been to Las Vegas.

If I were to go to Atlantis again, I would take a cab instead and just look around.

I know some people swim, but I didn't want to bother.

Dave Marx of www.PassPorter.com has a trip report on his Nassau walk from last year if you would like to see it and some pictures at last year's www.MouseFest.org site.

I am going to try and decorate my door, too.
