And now you are at 82 days. Oh I have no doubt that you will find something to celebrate in 2013. Like Tuesday, you could go and celebrate Tuesday, Or Wednesday, that's a good thing to celebrate. :yay:

Hiya :goodvibes

Your kids look great, glad the show went well and that you finally got your house back safely

YAAAAAY for 81 days :dance3:
Thank you, it was such a fun night, I am over it and recooperated. The kids are planning a big show October 9th. This is good, it gives me something else to look forward to and keep my mind occupied so I don't blow a DIsney circuit.:headache:

Please be completely honest when answering this question.
I have been reading trip reports up the wahzoo, and alot op people have celebrated their birthday at Disney, some of those people wore their Disney Birthday buttons every day. When I went for my B-day before I only wore it on my B-day. Now these other people are saying, "I am here to celebrate my b-day all week so why not wear the pin all week?" And they get all kinds of extras, you know like a fast pass, or a free desert, jump to the head of the line etc..etc...
So I have thought about wearing my pin everyday of my trip, but I kind of feel like it's cheating. I also feel like it will take away from the novelty of my actual B-day, but then again, I would love all the little extras.

Give me your totally honest opinion, should I just wear it on my B-day only?

Oooh thats great!! I'm sure it will be another great night :goodvibes It's good that you've got other things to keep your mind occupied too :thumbsup2 Although, dont stray from us too much ;) We've got quite a few things coming up between now and disney, need to properly start getting myself organised otherwise the trip will be here and christmas and I wont have done anything  :scared1:

I'd be wearing it :wizard: This year is all about letting them know if you are celebrating something and you are :thumbsup2 We wore our just married pins the day before the wedding, the CM at AK wrote the wedding date on them as if to say 'nearly married' Our wedding anniversary is today, but i'll be wearing our pins for the whole trip in december as disney is our gift & celebration :yay: Dont worry honey, pop it on your shirt and wear with pride  And I hope you get a tasty cake ;)

:eek:I haven't even started Christmas shopping!

Thank you for you opinion. I really do not want people to think I'm taking advantage of Disney's hospitality or that I'm trying to hog the magic all for myself.

Ok my opinion.... :)

I'm wearing it every day. Why? Well for one, because this trip is my birthday gift to myself (and my mother). The whole trip is celebrate my bday so why not? If it wasn't for my bday, we never would be going to Disney this year.

An even better reason? A few CMs I've talked to on the phone for ADRs, questions, etc...have told me to. :) When I made my ADRs online, I only put my bday on the actual ADRs on my bday. Then when I called to change one of them, the CM on the other line saw that it was my bday on the 27th and was like "why didn't you put it on all 19 of your ADRs?! I'll fix that for you" and in a jiffy, my bday was on all the ADRs. Then he said to make sure I wear my pin all week. It was his bday a few weeks before and he said he had the most amazing time.

If you want to get technical... :) I don't think it's hogging the magic or taking advantage of the hospitality at all. You're not really getting anything free if you really think about it. A cupcake every once in awhile? That costs Disney MAYBE 50cents to make? And having a CM go out of their way to say Happy Bday? Not hogging :) I'm glad they make people show real proof to get the $75 gift card, etc. THAT would be taking advantage if it wasn't your bday, ya know?

OK, that's all I have to say about that. :) I say wear the pin with pride!!!

I'd wear it all week. When you tell a CM you are celebrating your b-day, they note it forthe whole trip...not just one day. Go for it!!!!!!!

I would wear it the entire time!!! Our anniversary is 10/3 but our celebration and anniversary gift to each other is our trip to Disney in December. If the trip is to celebrate something then wear it the entire time you're down there. I know we plan to wear our anniversary pins!!

I too am an early Christmas shopper. This years gifts are mainly coming from Disney which is why I haven't started yet, but I did put my list together. ;)

I loved the pictures of your kids concert. I always wished I had some amazing talent, like being able to sing or play an instrument. Personally I always wished I could play the cello. Strange, and I don't know why, but I always wished I could play. I hope my kids have some awesome talent, it must make you feel so proud that you have raised such talented kids! I'll say and prayer and keep my fingers crossed for your children to become famous. LOL DH hopes that we'll have a son one day and he'll grow up to play for the Yankees. He says that that is our retirement plan!! Our dream in life is to retire, move to Celebration, FL and work for Disney!! I see DH as a monorail driver and myself as those people that assist the characters. I love the look on peoples faces, especially kids, when they see Mickey!! Classic!!! :cloud9:

Wear it all week! Why not? You're there to celebrate, so celebrate your buns off!

My March trip was to celebrate my b-day (which actually is in Feb, but I don't celebrate it then) and I wore the pin for the 4 days I was in the parks. It was great hearing "Happy Birthday", not only from CMs but also from other park visitors.

Now, I didn't get anything "free" or FPs, etc and such. I think they really reserve that for kids, but I don't know. I did get the "red card", but that was because I was a totally confused idiot and he felt sorry for me.

Anyways, wear the pin and enjoy!!!

PS - I just checked 79 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOO HOO WOO HOO WOO HOO

:woohoo::yay::woohoo::yay::woohoo::yay::woohoo:

Less than I thought, that was such a nice surprise!!!!!

I plan to wear my "Celebrating our/my Engagement" button all week as well. Even if DF doesn't follow my request and give me a proper proposal in front of the castle...

When in Rome, right?

I was wondering why the CM asked me when I made my Birthday ADR's at Coral Reef if that was the only place I was celebrating my B-day. I was like yea, I only have the one birthday. His question makes sense now.
I hope you have the best Birthday ever this year!!!

I'd wear it all week. When you tell a CM you are celebrating your b-day, they note it forthe whole trip...not just one day. Go for it!!!!!!!
I didn't know they noted it for everything, I learn so much here. Thank you

I would love to celebrate an anniversary at Disney, super fun and uber romantic.
Thanks fo rthe compliment about my kids. They get the talent from my mother, she sings and plays guitar. I did 3 years on the clarinet, it was fun, but I was never great at it. I remember in 6th grade Marzi beat me for first chair in clarinet, I never did get it back.

I would love to be a street performer at DHS, how cool would it be to create a character and play it to the people. On my last trip there was a guy dressed in 20's garb sitting on a suitcase, I asked him his deal and he said he was headed to hollywood to make it big in movies. I asked fo rhis picture and he shouted "shut the front door, are you paparazzi?" I would love that for a job

And celebrate my bunz off I will. They'll grow right back but hey, what can ya do?:confused3
Last time I wore my B-day button on my B-day only, I got mickey confetti sprinkled in my hair, a cupcake, bumped to the head of the line and countless CM's singing to me. I loved it. What is the red card?

Oh, I really want you to get that castle proposal, that would be a great story to tell.

Ty,

No doubt about it. I turn 55 this year and I AM wearing it the entire week.

Gene
I am going to wear it the whole time too. Why not? it is after all the year of celebrations. I will celebrate my Birthday and my mother will celebrate her own personal "labor" day.
Hey, thanks for reading. I am enjoying your PTR so much.

:eek:I haven't even started Christmas shopping!

Come on girl, get that shopping started - even if you just buy one thing or a box of cards, anything, get shopping

You're definately not taking advantage, you are wear it with pride and just smile :goodvibes

Glad you've decided to wear it all the time now  Now you've got to put it on all your adr's too :thumbsup2

I know, I have never been so far behind on Christmas shopping in my whole life. Normally I am almost done by this time of year. It's going to be a gift card Christmas this year....Hey put that to music and you got yourself a nice little country song.

If he knows what's good for him :lmao:
You might have to manipulate the situation a little, like when you both are in front of the castle...TRIP HIM! when he's down shout really loud, "Yes!!!! I will marry you!"

Christmas shopping is great, its like having a legal reason to go shop crazy  I'm loving your christmas song :lmao:

Was distraught today though, UPS tried to deliver my parcel from disney store I presume but I was at work :sad1: but whats even worse is that there is a £26 (roughly $40) customs charge on it :scared1:  makes me soooo mad! and I bet only £6 of that will actually be a customs charge and the other £20 will probably just be ups adding on an 'administration' fee for collecting the money! Grrrr! Rant over ... sorry .... back to your fab report!!

That stinks about a customs charge. So not right. I try not to order things, I hate the idea of a shipping fee or any other fee, it's like throwing money away. Althoughsometimes I have no choice but to order. I order alot of scrapbook stuff on line.

So I have been putzin around the house, bored out of my mind.
I worked on my touring plan for a bit, there's realy not too much to do for that, I don't have everything written in stone, no major plan to follow, just a guide line. I have actually spent more time putting my planner together then I have spent actually working on a plan. I will get more motivated as the time draws nearer.
show363.jpg
This is my planner, I have added more stickers to the cover since I took this picture. just imagine in your minds eye it being more festive, more colorful, more personal.

I have been trying to finish my scrapbook from my 2007 trip. I'm slowly getting there. I have 2 more days of the trip left to go and MVMCP. I'm hoping I don't have to use 2 albums. I'm actually being a little picky now and not just scrapbooking every picture I took.
diz039.jpg

so Far this is my favorite page, cause it's with Goofy and he is the best.
diz042.jpg

I love Kermit too, now I wish I didn't use a green back ground, Kermit doesn't show up too well.
diz041.jpg

I really like Monsters Inc. Mom had never seen it before, so when she came out this past July to help me with my broken leg, I had her watch it, she loved it, now she wants to meet them.
diz040.jpg

Germany is my favorite country in WS, I almost felt like I was back in Germany, the smell of the glu vine brought me back to Christmas in Germany when we would go to the Krist Kindel Mart. Mom would always let me have a sip of her wine. When my sister and I were in High school, we took a day trip to Rhotenburg, it's a city enclosed by a huge wall, it was so spectacular, they had kobble stone roads, we went to a small cafe and ordered Glu Vine, later when we told my mom, she freaked out on us. "You can't be drining wine, you're too young" We didn't even realize when we ordered it that we would be "Drinking" we just thought, hey, let's order this like mom and dad used too. Oh well.

I will post more pages as I get them done.

I am lovin it!.. I miss Germany as well. I still get a birthday card from my
landlords. They are great people. I think some of my fondest memories are
from my trips to wine fests and of course Octoberfest. I believe that some of
my group and I have the dubious honor of actually being thrown out of a beer
tent in Munich for singing "Role out the barrel" while dancing on the table. I
can't remember if it was our singing or dancing on the table that got us kicked
out.... hmmm did you ever try cola-beer?

Prost!

Gene
