Plan to go to Orlando May 2009 but unsure when the best time to book is.
TA couple of travel agents that I have spoken to have worked out if I book now the cost will be about £300 more than current prices for May 2008.

Should I wait till March 2009 to book for May 2009, when would you start booking. The plan is to stay a week on site and then move to I - Drive for a further week.

Virgin have got their preview brochure out at the minute, which has "price freezes" on 2008 prices. I think if you book by the end of April you get the 2008 prices, on selected hotels. I have booked with it the last couple of years to save a few pennies before the main brochure comes out!

We want to stay in two different hotels in Orlando..staying on site at the Animal Lodge first week, and then moving onto I-Drive to get closer to Universal 2nd week. The hotel that I have found (Homewood Suites) isnt featured by Virgin which means I cant take a package with them. They dont have a decent hotel with a good location on IDrive, or at least they didnt last time we went.

Thanks anyway, maybe Ill have a look

I don't know if you are planning on having a car, but what you can do is book a 2-week fly-drive with Virgin (including your AK Lodge week as that's in the preview brochure) at 2008 prices, then just book your 2nd Universal week direct with the hotel? That's what I've done for next year!

You could stil book with VH & 'unpackage' the last week - they just charge a fee - but it might be worth it??

Wonder if that's what i should do? Waiting (not so patiently:rotfl: ) for the HRH price to be released by Virgin. Wanting to go to CSR for 9 nights and HRH for 6 - would they charge you a cancellation fee of £25 per booking or £25 per person, i wonder?

Priced it up at the TA yesterday with Thomas Cook Signatures but it was a stupid price (wouldn't take into account my 10% that i get off with Virgin Holidays)...just want to book it and have a new countdown:lmao:

Not much longer to wait, only just over three weeks now, don't leave me waiting on my own. I am waiting for HRH and Poly prices.

whats HRH ?

and; thanks about the tips with Virgin, that sounds like a good idea. we werent planning on having a car, so Ill give them a buzz and see what they come up with.

homewood suites is a really good hotel.rooms were really clean but i think its only tcd that has them in there brochure.its really close to everything.we are staying at POR this year but i would stay in homewood suites again.

I was told by virgin that if you increase the cost of a holiday, they waive the cost of the changes, as you are paying more money. May be worth a phone to check for those waiting for prices to come out.

So let me get this right - I could book 2 weeks at CSR and then alter the last 6 days, when the prices are released, to the HRH? The price will be more so there would be no charge for the alteration? I just want to get it all book and start to pay for it!!
