I am set to check in late on August 5th. I do not want the DDP to start until August 7th. Do I need to pay for the dining plan 48 hours before I check in or 48 hours before I want the DDP?

Unless your reservation is segmented into separate stays, the only way you can add ddp is for your whole stay..cannot pick when it will begin/end it is for number of nights on your reservation.

It's 48hrs before you check in. I also believe if you call you can have them segment your current reservation so you can do it starting the day you want. If it hasn't been segmented already I'd have them do that first. But you would need to pay 48hr prior to your arrival.

You cannot do it as written by simply choosing when the DDP starts. As noted, you could segment your stay but you might have to go get new cards if you do.
