Hi. The way I am reading the various posts, the tips are only included for the Delux plan. We have the regular DDP, so do we tip on are own?

Tips are NOT included in the "regular" plan, nor are they included in the Deluxe plan.

Tips have been completely removed from the DDP and DDDP. You will have to pay for tips OOP for all dining plans.

the PP are correct, Disney Dining Plans, both versions, donot have an included tip for 2008. Moving to the DDP board

I meant to explain...are the tips added on or do I choose my amount of the tip? I realize tips are not included in the plan, but does Disney bill my the tip? The way I am reading it, they do this on the Delux plan and/or on the DDP if you have a party of 6.

The way I am understanding it - you can choose how to cover your tip. You may pay cash, charge to your room, or put your tip on another credit card or Disney Rewards card.

Oh, one more thing.

Again, if I am understanding correctly- a TIP IS INCLUDED for dinner shows or CRT on either plan- DDP or DDDP.

yes the brochure states tips are included at CRT!

For parties of 5 or smaller, on DDP, the tip is at your discretion. For parties of six or larger, there is an automatic service charge of 18%.

Tips are included at CRT and the dinner shows because the regular price of the meals include the gratuity. If you were paying for these events and not using the dining plan, you would pay the entire amount up front when you book.

Otherwise, if you are on the DDP or the Deluxe DDP, your tip is not included in the price of the plan. If your party is 6 people or more, you should have an 18% gratuity automatically added to your bill.
