DDP and pay full rack rate or no DDP and AAA rate ?

We already own 10 day park hopprer tickets (unused)

If we buy the DDP package with our POFQ room - we also must buy a 1 day ticket, but do get the DDP benefits.

If we do not buy the DDP package, then we could get an AAA discount on our POFQ room - but will have to pay OOP for our food.

Which is the better deal ?
AAA discount on our POFQ room or buy the DDP package ?

HOw big is the AAA discount? And how much over the price of ddp do you expect to eat? No one can do the math , you'll need to figure these things for yourself. But I'm a big guy, and figure the ddp saves me about 10 bucks a day. ymmv

If you book through a AAA travel agent, you can get both the dining plan (paid for) and the AAA discount. You will still have to buy the 1 day ticket, though.

Time to start looking a menu's.
We are now all adults - we have teen kids.

The last time we went to WDW we got away with the kid menu for our DD - we only spent between $60 and $80 for our TS and $40 for our CS & snack - less than the DDP price. We do breakfast in out room. Bring our own water bottles.

We have annual passes; so we always use the discount and pay out of pocket for dining. It depends on how much you are going to eat. You could always call Disney reservation line and find out how much it will cost you to book either way.

We find that the dining plan is too much food for use anyway. We usually split meals, have snacks for other meals, go off property for a few meals and eat TS just a couple of times.

Even if you do purchase the extra ticket, you could always save it for next time.

I believe it's a 2 day ticket PP for free dining this year.

I see that you are thinking of staying at the Dolphin. Currently you cannot get the DDP if you're at the Swan or Dolphin because they are not Disney owned resorts.
