Cold call reseller?

Hi all, my mother has been a member since 2002, added on points twice during that time. Once in the early years, bought from a resale site, second time bought from Disney.

This week, she got a cold call from someone asking if she was interested in selling her DVC points. (She's not, at least not yet). Has this happened to anyone else? Not sure if it's a scammer or actual reseller cold calling leads.

We get time almost weekly! I think they are the ones who want to charge you to sell which means not legit.

We also bought in 2002, but we've only gotten cold called about selling once, many years ago. Ironically, when I asked them which resort (since we own at 3), he named the one contract we'd sold several years before, so we didn't even own it at the time he called. Hopefully, he was embarrassed as we haven't gotten a call since.

Most likely a scammer. I've received several calls like that. Most likely, they tracked me down somehow from our non-DVC timeshare. I'm a bit surprised they're going after DVC owners now.

I only have DVC and like I said, almost weekly and for the past few years!!!!

My DH just tells them that not only do I not want to sell but want more!!

We get them every once in awhile but I don't answer calls from unknown people so I don't have any additional information. But I am always suspicious of cold calls that I assume that most are scammers.

I have my phone block unknown callers. I know not everyone has that luxury. They can leave a voicemail and if it's something I need to respond to I will call them back. In the years since I've taken to this practice I've probably only missed one or two important calls, but have "missed out" on countless "opportunities" to sell my home, get out of my timeshare, or consolidate my debt (I have no debt other than the mortgage on my home).
