DDP/ADR Question

Hey all! I have a question about ADRs and the DDP but with BOG ressies opening I can't get through to Disney
We have ADRs ( most held on my CC ) that I made months ago for a party of 8 that includes me, DH, DS and 5 other family members. The 5 other family memebers may not go now sooooo my question is can I just have them removed from the ADRs or do I have to cancel and re-book? We are 38 days from leaving and I know if I have to cancel I'm not going to be able to get all the same ADRs

While it is common to have one or two less show up for an ADR, and the cast members rarely say a word about it, having five missing should probably be corrected in advance.

Since you have plenty of time before your trip, I would put it on my to-do list for next week, once the BOG storm has subsided, and do it on the phone with Disney Dining at that point. Most ADRs have a 24-hour cancellation penalty, so you've got some time.

So you think I will be able to keep the ADRs and just have 5 people removed ? That would be a home run for me since we don't want to loose the ADRs

This depends entirely on which restaurants you are working with.

If it's something very popular, they may be less likely to want to help with it.
In most cases, though, I don't think it should be a huge problem.

One little observation, though - since y'all are actually going to be a party of 3, there is often less availability for this number than there is for a party of 2 or 4.

I'm so disapointed that we may loose our ADRs because they are backing out now. I will call next week and hope for the best. Thank you for replying!

you could also go online right now - make a list of your ADRs and see if they have availability for a party of 3 at similar times. Make the new ADR then cancel the old one. You may be able to take care of a bunch of them that way which will make you feel better and give you less to do on the phone.

I did check online and there are a few I could get.She called today and they are not going.I will call Disney and see if I can just modify the ressies, good news is they are all in my name!
